Is SAP Software Distribution Center available?

Hello Guru,
In the past, I can go to the link to download IDES Solution or IDES ECC6 SR2.
But Today I got to there again but I can not see anything. T_T
What's happen about my User? My AUTH has been changed, hasn't it?
So I just would like to know other guy can access the download link or not?

Some times ago same case appeared with me also. I raised an OSS message and they have updated the link on our customer number. There was some mapping problem with SAP side

NWDS SP15 in Software Distribution Center corrupt

Hi,
Just to let everybody know:
It seems the NWDS SP15 that's available in the SWDC is corrupt: We've installed it and first had problems during installation, then slow startups of NWDS (see Startup problems after NW Studio upgrade) and it also appears that all .dcdef for the 3 base SCA's are missing. Because of this you cannot create working DCs under Local Development.
Let's hope SAP releases a patch soon!

No, I have not created a message.
I thought I might try the NWDS SP15 that comes with the Developer Workplace instead. It appears that that installation is ok, so we're using that now.

How i can see this demand by /SAPAPO/SNP94 in Distribution Demand (Planned) Key Figure ?
Also i found after i run Network Heuristic 1 SNP Stock Transfer Created
Where i can see this order as Receipt Element ?

HT4061 got iph 4s; using windows 8; downloaded latest update and iphone software update center could not be contacted or is unavailable......?? disabled firewall, disconnected all other usb devices, still not restoring; any one have any suggestions?

I noticed the Windows Firewall Entry in the diagnostics, so I did get that part squared away...
Windows Firewall is on.
iTunes is enabled in Windows Firewall.
Connection attempt to Apple web site was successful.
Connection attempt to browsing iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to purchasing from iTunes Store was successful.
Connection attempt to iPhone activation server was successful.
Connection attempt to firmware update server was successful.
Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful.
Last successful iTunes Store access was 2013-11-07 17:52:33.
Still unable to detect the iPhone though.

Software Distribution Flow between SCCM (2013) and BMC (8.1), using Orchestrator

I see same question has been asked in the past with older versions of SCCM, BMC and Opalis...but would like to know if there are any specific benefits or advancements or even higher feasibility of implementing below, using Orchestrator
1) Data load: Load HW/SW Inventory from SCCM into BMC Remedy System. Is it even possible to load Asset Intelligence data so that both systems can correlate common data
2) Create a flow which connects both BMC remedy & SCCM using Orchestrator
a) End user to raise a request in BMC remedy system
b) Shoots an email to Assset Mgmt & Mgr etc for approvals
c) Record their approvals back (thru email or over webisite/url)
d) If approved to create an instruction (deployment) in SCCM for that system
e) Retrieve the status codes received by SCCM, if successful then short mails to user & service desk
f) Modify BMC Remedy Asset Mgmt for that software to reduce availability by one count
g) Close the ticket
or any other simpler connectors available out there ?

Software Distribution - Problem with 1921 Routers

Hello everybody,
we are having some weird troubles in our Cisco LMS 4.2
A Software Distribution works fine for all kinds of our Routers, except the 1921 models. We are using SCP and SSH for the Image distribution and the exactly same configuration on a 1841 and a 1921 works on the 1841 Router but on the 1921 not.
I didn't found any Bugs related to this, maybe it's a problem with the lms settings?
Done so far:
- Deleted the device in LMS, added it via discovery and manually, no change here
- Tried with different IOS versions, no change here, no one will work
- Set the credentials after adding the device again, to make sure they are valid
When creating a new distribution job, we get this error at Step 3 of 5 only at the 1921 Router, so I guess this might be the problem:

- SWIM1056: The method to update the software on the selected storage device is unknown.
Select a different Flash partition, if available.
I attached a SWIM_debug logfile from a failed job. (changed all the DNS names do XXXDNSNAMEXXX).

More than USB it could be SCP. There is a know bug for SCP on 19xx router :
CSCuc98074 LMS 4.2.2 Software Image Distribution fails with SCP on 1921 routers
Just try to change SCP to other protocol and see it that works. Make sure you have all device packages updated for LMS.

SCCM 2012 R2 - How to add second Software Distribution?

I already have a Primary site server setup so I added another site system server so I could add the Distrubution Point to a remote 2012 R2 server (hope that was correct?)
Now I would like to also add the Software Distribution role to that secondary server. I'd like the types (security, optional, etc...), of software updates pulled from my primary site, but want the actually updates pulled from Microsoft. To have that setup
do I install the WSUS role on my secondary site server and then add the Software Update role?

WSUS when used in SCCM as a SUP is only used for the clients to download the information about which updates exist, the actual updates are downloaded from the assigned DP. There is no way to configure a client to download security updates from SCCM and the
rest from Internet.
Yes, you did correct, it is not a Secondary site though it is a Site System for your Primary site if that is the same site server you are refereing to later.
The data actually downloaded by the clients from the SUP is not that much so it is normally no ide to install a new SUP.

Distribution Center in Sales Order Transaction ( For AFS )

Hi All,
I have the following issue.
In the 4.6 version when I create a Sales Order ( VA01) and hit enter, I can see a input/output field 'Distribution Center ' on the Right hand corner. I am able to see the same Distribution Center ( J_3ADCCU) even in VA02 and as well as in VA03.
Now when I check the ECC Version there I am unable to see the Distribution Center in VA01 and VA02 Transactions but I can see it only in VA03.
Please note that we already checked all User Exits and couldn't find anything supressing this Screen Field in ECC.
Could there be anything with the configuration, if yes, how can I track that. I tried many options by going in SPRO - Sales and Distribution but it didn't help much.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In your case, they might have used Transaction varinats to suppress the fields.

Creation of Distribution Center without QM

Hi,
Our DC is full warehouse managed and quality managed, we would like to go for warehouse managed DC without quality in the initial stage for this new DC, but later on we may need quality in this DC.
Can anybody tell me the procedure of creating a distribution center without QM? We want to activate the QM later.

Dear Raghu Ram,
There is no concept of DC and QM put together in SAP R/3 or in SAP IS Retail. Please note that, DC and Stores are organization elements in SAP IS Retail.
QM Functionality is entirely different.
You can implement DC or Store without QM Module too.
If you want QM in a later stage, you can implement the same at any point of time after configuration and maintenance of QM Masters.

There is a config under Prod--> DRP-->Basic setting-->Main assignment of node type-plant. here you can define Plant as B-Distribution center. There is no significance of this config.
Since you need plant to hold stock , Distribution center will be a plant object with node type defined in above config( Or you can implement MRP area , if you donot want to create more plants)
Either way ,
You have setup stock trasnfer between Plant(DC) & Plant using special procurement type(F-40) & system will generate Stock transfer PR which can be converted in Stock transfer PO
You can set up multiple key 41,42,43,44 for each plant(DC) pointing to differenet plant(Mfg)You can use this key in material master of Plant (DC) to define which plant will supply this material.
SAP MRP run is also deployment , it will plan Stock transfer PR based on demand entered on Plant(DC)

The biggest change you must face is related to Java. If you had CRM4.0 Java configuration, you must change your settings to the non-java configuration CRM5.0 has. Most of those changes are performed by the upgrade program, but you must activate services in transaction SCIF.
Your other concerns:
- Software: Most of the Genesys releases are compatible with both java and non java configurations. Anyway, I am sure Genesys has compatibility instructions.
- Hardware: No changes to my knowledge

Is it more cost effective to host SAP software at my university?

Hi! I'm connected to a major university that has a high quality hosting area of it's own. Is it more cost effective for them to host SAP software themselves or should they use the services of the UCC? If the value is close then they may want more control in their own environment. Or if there's greater value with the UCC's then they can use their budget and resources in a different way!

The answer to your question is that it is more cost effective to use an existing UCC hosting center as opposed to developing your own system. For example, in the Americas the cost of belonging to the University Alliance is the same whether you use the hosting center or not. Unless your current center can do all of the following for free: Purchase required hardware, train your staff, install and support the SAP software. and provide help desk support to your faculty. then it will cost you more to do your own hosting. The other advantage of using a UCC hosting center is that they can provide you the complete set of SAP products and they can create clients for use with the existing UA curriculum.
