Is secondary IP supported on SG-300?

I want to have devices with IP addresses from 2 different subnets allowed on the same VLAN and use the VLAN interface IP as the default gateway for thode devices.
With a L3 Catalyst switch, I would just add a secondary IP address to the VLAN interface.  Can I do this on the SG-300?

You can set up 2 ip address on a single VLAN, yes.

    Hi,
Does anybody know if STP Root Guard feature is supportted on SMB 300 switches? I was not able to find anything related to Root Guard on the administration guide.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Ayse,
Currently the 300 series switches do not support Root Guard. One option is to set the Bridge priority on your switch to be higher, though this is not a guarantee.

  • SVI support on SG 300 series switches

    hi people:
my client have 6 sg 300 switches one switch is connected with firewall an d firewall has dhcp server of one network, they want to make another vlan of another network, if sg 300 series support SVI's than i can make two svi's on my one switch.i think they dont support svi other than default.can you help me out on this problem...

Hi Khurram, the switch does support layer 3 vlan interfaces.
You may log in to the CLI and use the command
    set system mode router
Once you do this, this will factory default reset the switch after reload.
Once the switch has come back up, ensure the first thing you do is make a static IP address on vlan 1 then proceed to make your additional vlans and ip addresses on the vlans

  • Disk Layout of a secondary site server

I see the disk layout of a CAS and primary with an on-box SQL instance, raid 10, separate mdf and ldf files. What are you guys doing with your secondary install? Are you installing all of the SQL files onto a single drive separate from the OS or are you
splitting our the mdf and ldf like you would for a full SQL instance. Let's say the secondary will support the maximum number of clients, so the load will be heavy.

Even a heavy load on a fully loaded secondary is nothing compared to what a primary site is expected to handle. The SQL data on a secondary is a very small subset of the overall site's DB and if effectively read-only (from the client's perspective at least).
I honestly wouldn't/don't worry about it all if you have current server class-hardware.

  • New software for CK-300, Updater 1.3.5

Hi! Has anyone been able to test the new car kit software installer 1.3.5? It has appeared in http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-ck-300/car-kit-software . Earlier this autumn there was 1.3.4.
There is no information about the actual software version that it installs in CK-300...
    Markku

    Dear all,
    yes, there is
    - a new software version of software updater 1.3.5
    - a new firmware of the hands-free unit/black box 1.5
The novelty is that it solves the issue of navigation prompts being cut at the beginning.
Since it seems to be the case that you still have an issue: could you please let us know which phone model and software version in it you are using?
And what do you exactly mean by voice navigation (just to make sure we are talking about the same)?

  • 881 Router - How many Vlans are supported (Dhcp scopes)

    Dear All!
After calling Cisco three times without response, I need to ask this most likely simple question right here.
How many vlans does a 881 router support? Will this be the same number for dhcp scopes?
    Thanks for your time...
..hopefully you guys can sort it for me ;)

    Hi,
On every Cisco router platform each interface, sub interface & VLAN
uses a system reference point referred to as an Interface Desciptor Block.
    IDB
Depending on processing power of each platform determines the number
of IDBs the router platform can support.
On all IOS version referred to in the documentation a Cisco 881
can support up to 300 IDBs
    The router has physically 5 interfaces (4 x LAN + 1 x WAN)
    300 - 5 = 295
So you shouldin theory be able to build
    295/2 = 147 VLANs & 147 SVIs
Remember a VLAN uses 1 IDB & an SVI uses 1 IDB
See this link for more info.

    Hope this helps

  • Import (XF-300) MXF spanned clips in 5.5 - how?

    Adobe claims:
    "Enhanced Canon XF native support
Preview Canon XF footage  in the Media Browser panel and utilize camera metadata throughout your  preproduction and post-production workflows. Spanned clips are displayed  as a single asset in the Media Browser, reducing clutter."
    I say: Ok, how?
The online man page instructions for "Importing assets from tapeless formats" simply doesn't work. Selecting a single clip of a span imports that one clip. Selecting all the clips or a parent directory of the clips imports all the clips as separate clips - just like they appeared in PP5. It does not import mutiple copies, as Adobe claims will happen.
So it looks like "Enhanced Canon XF native support" claims are bogus, or maybe just poorly implemented.
What conerns me is that Adobe's help pages don't even reference XF format.
At this stage, it looks like Adobe Premiere Pro fails to properly support Canon XF-300/305, just as Premiere Pro 5 did.
    Brett

Kevin, thanks for your prompt response.
I've finally had the time to try this again and understand it.
I wasn't using the media browser. I was using the import function from the Project panel, which is how I have always loaded clips. I had never used the media browser and assumed that one ended up using it anyway no matter which front end used for import.  i.e. I thought the media browser was simply the back end file selector dialogue.
So I see that (only) the media browser will import spanned clips as one unified clip into the sequence, which is an improvement for sure. I do think that import of the Project panel should work the same way.
I initially had a problem though, as my top level directory above the numbers clip dirs was not CONTENTS. It had to be renamed to avoid conflict with other CONTENTS clip set in the same project. So the media browser refused to load the spanned clips together, but would allow me to load a single clip. It wasn't until I guessed, and renamed my top dir back to CONTENTS that things worked and the the View as dropdown showed the magic Canon XF option.
I suggest this implied requirement be made clear in the manual, noting that the top dir must be named CONTENTS for this to work. Yes, I believe that's the MXF standard, but many people will rename their parent directory so multiple cards can be copied into the same project directory, instead of having yet another single-entry directory above the CONTENTS directory, like CARD1 CARD2 etc.
I beieve that the software is at fault and should be changed - if it can see mutliple numbered MXF dirs at the same level, it should simply deal with them. I know you can't fix that, but please warn people.
Anyway, thanks again for your reply. It got me on the correct path to a solution.

  • EA6500 support for Wi-Fi devices on WPA (TKIP)

Although EA6500 states support for WPA devices it appears that some B devices (like HP Wi-Fi printer PSC 2510) are not supported. The lack of support seems due to the lack of WPA with TKIP encryption, only the newer EAS encryption appears to be available.

    pompekw,
You should consider cascading your WRT54G to a new router. That way you can keep your legacy devices.
I have legacy devices too. And that's what I do. If your WRT54G is broken, you can pick up a refurb wireless router that supports WEP and WPA TKIP and B/G for $20. And then you just cascade it to your new router. Use Lan-to-Lan cascade (or bridge mode instructions depending on whether or not the secondary router supports bridge mode). If your WRT54G still works, you can use it as the secondary router (which is what I do).

  • CK-300 new firmware

    Hi
Finally wanted to update my CK-300 in my car while having the glovebox out to change the pollen filter.
On the website they claim that the newest version is 1.5 but the software fetched 1.6 and installed it.
Does anyone know if nokia has some sort of changelog from version to version ?
It's super easy to upgrade the CK-300 with the software and the simple homemade USB cable i use.

    Hi redsri
Unfortunately no clues as to what device you intend using CK-300 with but if you use a Nokia Device compatible with CarMenu .sis available here:http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-ck-300/application-software then it appears under "Settings" menu on device. Dependent upon how old stock is your HF-21W may be running v1.400, whereas the latest available using Nokia Carkit Updater application is v1.600. Although software changelog is not in the public domain it does address some Bluetooth connectivity issues amongst others, although a recent poster wished it had been left on previous v1.500 and not updated with their particular usage.

  • Nokia N96 CK-300?

    Hi,
I currently own an N96, bit of a BIG upgrade from my old worn out 6288i.
    Now, my problem.
I had my old phone set up with the CK-7W car kit. I liked the fact that it was all connected by cable once the phone was placed in the cradle.
I've gathered that it's nearly impossible to have this option with my new N96. I'm looking at the CK-300 kit (unless there is somehow I can connect my N96 to the CK-7W kit by cable?), though the only information I've found so far points out that it can only connect to the CK-300 kit by bluetooth.
Is there like an accessory package, or a cable option, that allows me to have the N96 sitting in its cradle, and being all connected up by cable to the CK-300 kit? I really don't like the bluetooth connection **bleep**, I know it's new and up-to-date and what not, though I just tend to like the cable connections more.
I've heard stuff about the CA-139 cable, the SP-3 external speaker. the PCU-4 power cable, and more, though it's all turned into nothing for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, or any direction of where to go for help would also be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Josh.

The wired connection and the external loudspeaker were just perfect for me, didnt run through my stereo speakers, was right there, I dunno. I suppose it's just piece of mind really. Sounds pretty stupid now that I think about it lol.
Is the phone the only thing that connects to the kit via bluetooth? Does the answer-remote and microphone and whatever else all connect to the control box via cable? I realise the charging cable has to connect to the phone, though what I'm saying is, is everything else bluetooth reliant or are they wired-in?
SETUP OPTION 3 of the second user-guide on this page, http://www.nokia.com.au/get-support-and-software/product-support/nokia-ck-300-multimedia-car-kit/use..., pretty much looks like what I'm after, even including the external loudspeaker that I already have, thus not running phone-calls through my stereo speakers.
    confiture wrote:
I use a Brodit cradle for my N96 and it allows the phone to drop in and 'sit' on the charging pin.
Can you tell me where I can buy one of these cradles? Online?
...I thank you all for the time you have wasted on me and the great advice and help you have given.

  • Satellite A350-13B - OpenGL and Radeon HD3650

    Hi
My laptop is Satellite A350-13B with ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650.
    I found that I have OpenGL 1.1 (7/7) and partially 1.2 (1/8).
I installed latest drivers from ATI site, modded with Mobility Modder (also tried drivers from Toshiba's site - without results).
I found that modded drivers require OpenGL patch to have it working.
    You have to add:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers\ati2dvag

    "DriverVersion"="1" %REG_DWORD%
    "Flags"="1" %REG_DWORD%
    "Dll"="atioglxx.dll" %REG_SZ%
But after it OpenGL Extensions Viewer see the same values (1.1 and partially 1.2).
How is it possible to check highest OpenGl version available and make it working?
I have a file called atioglxx.dll in Windows\System32 and registry entries specified above, but OpenGL Extensions Viewer says:

I dont know how to this but please note that Toshiba supports own drivers only. When you install driver directly from ATI you are on your own and it has nothing to do with Toshiba.
It is also recommended to use Toshiba drivers only.

  • How do you downgrade to a previous version of firefox?

How do you down grade to a previous version of Firefox on an Android Phone? Current versions of Firefox no longer work with our WIFI network. Starting sometime around version 33 or 34 we started noticing that while using WIFI, Firefox would freeze every minute or two. Basically it would start to load a page then the progress bar would stop about 1/6th of the way across the screen. If you wait several minutes the bar would continue to about 5/6th of the way across the screen and then stop and not continue to load the page. If you turn WIFI off and then back on, Firefox will again work for a minute or two then freeze again. The timing is very specific and is not bound by a number of clicks. It also happens on all websites. The problem is not with the WIFI network because all programs including Chrome and the Android Browser work fine with WIFI. Also previous versions of Firefox work fine with the WIFI. We have the problem across several phone and manufacture types as well as across Android versions. We also did not have the freezing problem during a time of lower WIFI usage. So the problem specifically has to do with using newer versions of Firefox on a busy WIFI network. Because it may take time to fix these issues in Firefox we would like to downgrade to a previous version of Firefox that we know works with our WIFI network.
    Thanks for your help!
    Ken

    Hi Roland
Here are the answers to your questions:
What models of Android tablets and phones are you using?
Samsung Note 4 (running Android 5.0.1), Samsung Rugby Pro (Running Android 4.1.2), Galaxy S5 Active (running Android 4.4.4) & Kyocera-E6560 (Running Android 4.4.2). There are others, but these are the ones I have access to right now.
What version of Firefox for Android are you using?
I started noticing the problem with version 34 on. It could have started with earlier versions but I first noticed it with version 34--we did a large phone upgrade and installed version 34 which was the current version at the time. I just tried 37.02 and am still having the problem.
As a side note I have an old Samsung note 1 (on Android 3.0.8). It is running Version 17 of Firefox and does not have the same problem.
Steps to reproduce: What did you do exactly, what happened and what did you expect?
For instance if I do a Google search trying to research something I type in the search hit and hit go. I then click on a link in the search and let the page load. Look at the page to see if it has the answer I need. Then hit the back button and repeat the process with the next link. After about 1.5 to 2 minutes Firefox starts to load the page then the progress bar freezes about 1/6th of the way across the screen. If you wait several minutes the progress bar generally will continue to about 4/6th or 5/6th of the way across the screen then freeze again. If you turn WIFI off then on again Firefox will work for another 1.5 to 2 minutes and freeze again.
Same thing happens if you are on a web page clicking through links on the page. The problem occurs on all web pages.
Also more details on your wifi network would be helpful:
Hmmm, this is a difficult one--I work at the University of Washington, but not with the IT department that manages the technology infrastructure. So I don’t have a lot of technical details. Basically (among other jobs) I do the phone support for the Campus maintenance division. I support 250 to 300 users. While I do not have a lot of the specifics I will do my best to give you a general idea.
The best way to think of the UW is a small city. We have about 45,000 students and somewhere between 20,000 to 30,000 staff plus visitors. On any given day we can have 80,000 to 90,000 people on campus all of which are capable of using the WIFI network. So when I say we have a high volume WIFI network it is extremely high volume.
I noticed the problem with Firefox before and after spring break, but did not have the problem during spring break. WIFI usage would have been way down during this time because there would have been fewer people on campus. So the problem only seems to occur when volumes are very high.
I had a meeting with a UW-IT rep several months ago and he explained that the 2.4 network was near capacity some places on campus, but the 5.0 network had plenty of bandwidth on it. I think most of the phones I have been using work on the 2.4 network, but the Note 4 works with the 5.0 network also and has the same problem. Additionally all other programs work fine with WIFI so I do not think capacity is the issue.
Also I know Firefox itself is not the issue because it worked during spring break and it works on the cellular network. So some combo of the high volume network and Firefox seems to be creating the problem. Maybe has to do with how Firefox handles things when capacity is reached or exceeded.
As another side note I did not have the problem with my home network, but I was only using 2 phones at the time.
It sounds like you are technical since you have done so much testing. Please file a bug with the steps to reproduce at:
I have some technical skills, but really I am just good at research. I will do my best with the bug report :)
As for downgrading (which we DO NOT recommend & support since older versions don't have security fixes!) you can install an old nightly from:
I will try to work my way back to see if I can figure out what version of Firefox the problem started with.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or need any additional info.
    Thanks!

  • USING AC ADAPTER WITH USB 2.0 PORT

I recently installed a new EA6500 wireless router (AC1750).  I also bought some wireless AC USB adapters (WUSB6300). Will use of the AC USB adapters increase network speed if they have to be plugged into the USB 2.0 ports on my laptops?

The WUSB6300 utilizes the USB 3.0 standard.  However, the adapter is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports. The WUSB6300 could support up to 300 Mbps for 2.4 Ghz and upto 866.7 Mbps for 5 Ghz.
