    Help

    No.
Exchanging iMessages is similar to exchanging email. Requires internet access so exchanging iMessages when connected to your carrier's cellular network for internet access will use your data allowance - the same when exchanging email when connected to your carrier's cellular network for internet access.

  • Unable to send photo via iMessage

    Hi Guys,
I am having some issues sending photos via iMessage between my fathers iPhone 5s and my iPhone 6.
my fathers iPhone 5s can send me photos but when I try and send him a photo it fails with "not delivered", however sending normal text iMessage between the two phones works fine.
and another weird thing I can send photos to other people's iPhone's ????
so is the issue with my iPhone 6 or his iPhone 5s ?

    Hi jake85au,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are experiencing an issue where you cannot send MMS from the Messages application to your father’s iPhone 5s only. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the suggested troubleshooting steps located in the attached article.

  • I have read all the questions regarding the "Can't send photo using iMessage".

I have read all the questions regarding the "Can't send photo using iMessage". I followed everything and check everything that was in it. It's still the same. I am still not able to send a photo. It started happening last week. It was fine before that. There is no error message.
It will try to send but it will get stuck just before it sends
and the red ! will appear with the "Not Delivered" status.
When i tap on the !, it just says "This iMessage was not delived".
No other message or photo is sending as the same time as the photo.
I did reset it, I checked the email address, removed it as well. Turned it off then back on. Signed out and signed back in. Wi-Fi strength is very good. iOS is 6.0.1. I checked for updates, it is up-to-date I also checked a link http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2755. It did not help at all.
    What's wrong?!?!?!?!

It is not a matter of reconsidering the decision. There are unsolveable technical problems with trying to run a program such as Firefox on Blackberry OS. We would need Blackberry to distribute a tool similar to Android's NDK to run on Blackberries.

  • Issue Sending Photos with iMessage

I try and send photos with iMessage, and it will deliver successfully. Then a few minutes later, it will tell me that my message was not delivered. Every time I say "try again" it will deliver successfully, then say later the image was not delivered. All text messages are delivering normally. I have tried restarting my ipod and it did not help. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

  • How to make iphone 3GS send photos on imessage?

I now have the updated ios 6 version on my 3GS iphone. I can't send a photo now over imessage. I have tried resetting, I have turned cellular data on and off. I have over 7GB available. I've tried turning 3G on and off as well as data roaming. I have the mms on and not sms. I have icloud photos on so it can get to pictures on camera roll and stream. Why won't this work?! It did before- I don't care how that could be "coincident" with the upgrade. I can't change the APN on my phone. I know there are others that have this same problem, but I haven't heard of anything actually fixing this problem? So let's see who is really techy and brainy and can figure this one out. Kinda not worth having if I can't send photos to people on my imessage (especially if I was able to do it before). I have StraightTalk which uses AT&T.

  • IPhone 6 - I can only send photos via iMessage in landscape mode. The address line disappears when I try to send a portrait mode photo.

iPhone 6 - I can only send photos in landscape mode via iMessage. The address line disappears when I try to send a portrait mode photo. Gone so far as erasing all content and settings. Problem persists.

    Howdy jackbry,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If you haven’t already, you can try resolving the issue with not being able to send iMessages that contain portrait photos by restoring your iPhone to factory settings as shown in this article:

  • I cannot send photos using iMessage

This has only happened in the last week. Prior to this I had no problems and don't believe I have made any changes. I have taken the suggestion to reset my network settings but that does not seem to help the problem. I can send them using regular text message and I can send SMS with iMessage, just no photos. I get a not delivered message each time.
    Anyone have a solution?

This is a very widespread problem (there are all kind of topics about it on here) and no matter what is done by the user, it doesn't always get fixed. Apple needs to address this! I also have several friends with the same issues.

  • IPhone, iPad, Mac won't send pictures over iMessage

All my devices have suddenly started telling me iMessage delivery fails when I want to send images / videos over iMessage. 1st gen iPad mini, iPhone 5c, 2013 Macbook Air, all on most recent software updates.
I've tried turning off iMessage on all devices, restarting them all, and turning them on again, but it doesn't fix the issue.
While my contacts tell me that pictures and videos still go through, on my end it shows them as failed / undelivered. Same goes the other way, if someone sends me a picture, they will see on their end that it was "not delivered" and yet I receive the picture without problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,

    HI Friend,
You must set the Cellular Data according (Settings>>General>>Cellular>>Cellular Data). Contact your carrier for further information.
Turn on Cellular Data, Roaming and 3G as well, even your carrier doesn't have 3G available.
    Hope it will be helpful

  • I cannʻt send photo over message

I just updated my iphone4s from ios5 to  ios6.   Since then, I can not send photo through message,MMS.   Please help to slove this issue.

    Hi Johnma,
I suggest you check the specs on TCP/IP. I seem to remember a limit on the packet size. TCP is just the transport layer. Higher layers should handle the work of breaking packets into smaller sizes and tracking packet sequencing.
I am relying on memory hear so please verify. (maybe the limit was 4096 and I am full of it).
I also believe there was some discusion of a related topic recently on info-labview where Rolf did a good job explaining what was happening.
Search for "Rolf" and "TCP" on Brian Renkins search engine.

  • Is there a way of sending photos via iMessage on my macbook air?

Am I missing something really obvious?! There doesn't seem to be an option on iMessage via Macbook air to attach and send a photo / video.  My iphone works fine for this. Help?

Hi there. I had 1 connection problem with wifi a few days after I bought my mac. But I just turned my router off and on again and it's worked perfectly since! You do get free phone support for a few months after purchasing and they help you out a lot. I wouldn't say macs have a wifi issue from my experience.

  • I'm Having Trouble Sending Messages Over IMessage.

Okay, so I have a 4th generation ipod touch that I'm having trouble sending messages on. It's up to date on 6.0.1. It's also brand new. I only got it 3 days ago, but nevertheless i'm already having problems with imessage not sending messages. The odd thing is it only won't send messages at 12:00/1:00 am- about 10:00 am. The rest of the time I have no problems with it. Also, I should add that I live in an area that does not have high-speed internet but I get it over satillite. So my internet speed is not the best. But I didn't have this problem with my old ipod that I used a day prior to using this one. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • Can no longer send photos w/imessage

ipad mini keeps kicking back photos sent on imessage.

iPads can wear out over time and get sluggish. As far as your iPad freezing up, you should hold down the home and the power buttons until you see the Apple Logo. Every iPad has a home button and a power button. Power button is on top of the iPad and the home button is at the bottom right under the screen.
    I hope this helps

  • Unable to send photos over LTE - Seattle area

Anyone else having this problem? I'm here in the Seattle area with a decent LTE signal but the photos I send continually come back as "Not Delivered".. What is the deal?!

Hello MajestyRider,  Let's make sure your pictures are sent no matter where you are!  Is this happening with every picture message?  How long has this been happening?  Are your other data services working as normal?  Are the users you are sending the messages to Verizon Wireless customers or with random carriers?  I am eager to help troubleshoot and get to the bottom of this!
