Hi Gaurav,
Yes service sale is possible in SAP SD.
I have worked in one project that is Gas related work project which is a service project.
For this we have to create a material of type DIEN(Service material) while creating the material using MM01.
As it is service project there will be no delivery.
And the billing will only order related billing only.
Except this change every thing will be similar to our standard procedure.
Pls let me know if there are any other issues.

After service is performed we need to ship those parts to same customer. We need to charge only service charge on those parts but not actual part charge. Please let me know how to handle service sales order in SAP in this scenario. Can we use consignment in this scenario

This is more of like a JOB WORK scenario, where you are taking the customer material and then giveing your services and returning the same to the customer.
You have to create the material as a NON -Valuated material. Then you can create a sales order for this material, logically since you are giving the same material to the customer delivery will be required to be created into the system. So you can use the scenario SERVICE WITH DELIVERY.
Take the GR Of the material against the sales order. this will help you keep a track of the material received against the sales order.

Hi,
plz check the values of all attributes.
Suppose the values is not there(null) and ur checking some conditions based on this value.
Null pointer exception will araise due to any nullvalue.
To avoid this plz put the check--> if(!value = null){........ }.

Signature by scanned image is possible, you can create a function to do it. please note: images must be inside the reports, and hide them with a CR function.
For certificate based sigbature of CR is not possible, you must develop an addon for that which is do this functionality.

I am new to SCN and i need your help.
I am currently working as a Sales Executive with an IT consulting firm specialized in SAP & Oracle consulting services.
I want to enter into SAP world and i thought that SAP SD is best for me because of my education (MBA-Marketing) & current experience.
When i research on SAP SD i got to know that Domain knowledge is very important for a consultant. I felt happy because I have around 3 Years of Sales experience for Oracle & SAP consulting services.
After enrolling for SAP SD education one day I heard that experience of services industry is not counted as a domain experience.
I had already invested huge money for SAP SD education and now i am feeling helpless because of this news.
Please help me with your experience whether IT services sales experience can be counted as a domain experience for SAP SD Fresher or not?

Don't worry! IT service sales experience can be counted as domain experience for SAP SD career.
After being in SAP for some years (as an end user, key user, SD consultant), the most important things are clear process thinking, perseverance, honest hard work and communication.
If you have the above qualities, then you will succeed in SAP!
SAP SD is the logistics side of sales. In other words, there is a Laptop repair shop. If SAP SD is implemented, it will take care of creating repair order, creating billing document. So it is not about selling but about maintaining those "records" in SD.
The above example is of service. This too is part of SD.
So if someone has experience in sale of service that is relevant domain experience.
Apart from this you have to understand, imagine - sale of products.
In sale of products, there will be one addition step - delivery of product, from the manufacturer to the customer / consumer.
Focus you mind on learning.

when i want to start services connector saprouter

a error window say
"connect to sap gateway failed
error partner 'host:3299' not reached"
where is the possible problem here ?

SERVICE pr AGAINST SERVICE SALES ORDER

we have scenario service sales order has been raised for customer .
and some of the service will be done by through vendor
Kindly suggest what prerequisite has to be maintained for running full cycle in service sales order
what account assignment we should maintained in PR.
is sales order has to assigned in PR??
from my side,
service sales order created in qas server.
and during PR creaion try to maintain item category D and account assignment sales order
But maintaining gl account & sales order in account assignment tab
system shows message account require co object after maintaining sales order also in account assignment
Kindly suggest is any prequisite in sales order remain. from our side

1. Prepare Service Provider
For providing services, there are many tools to publish as web services
from BAPI, RFC and Enterprise Services.

2. Prepare Service Consumer

I am not sure about your requirement here. What i could understand is that you want to check whether service could handle file processing?
1) Uploading file - You can build a Webservice which has import/export parameters as the file structures and implement the proxy class in such a way that the passed data is written to application server.
2) Downloading file - Same as uploading file, but the proxy class would have the code to extract data from the application server and pass them as output parameter.
Functionality of Non SAP system: The system which calls these services should be able to convert the output of proxy data into file in case of downloading the file and it should be able to convert the file data into export parameters in case of uploading file.

-->Regarding Service sales you create Material with material type Service masterial (DIEN-Service w/ Delivery or LEIS-Service w/o Delivery) and with Item category group DIEN-Service w/ Delivery or LEIS-Service w/o Delivery.
Do the copy control settings according to your requirement
If the delivery is there, then you can copy standard documents rename it then you can use.
If the delivery is not there then you have to copy control settings in such way.

Uploading open sales orders from sap

hi all,
i need to upload open sales orders from legacy to sap. pls advice what steps need to be followed for the same.
1) how we will we download open sales order from legacy and where..... is it to some flat file or some other option is there . pls tell some options.
2) how we will uload the sales ordes into sap . thru lsmw or is there some other option ?
3) there will be more number of fields in sap than in legacy. i think we need to manully create an excel file and add more fields manually in excel file so that the compulsonry feilds as per sap are present in sap ?
4) how will availability check happen in sap after sales order are t/f from legacy ?

1.a. you need to down load in EXCEL in legact format and convert the same in LSMW format and upload it
2.a. LSMW - Functionally, BDC, BAPI - Technically. to my knowledge LSMW is better option.
3.a. first you download to EXCEL file from LEGACY, then align the same to SAP format you can add those fields that are mandatory as per your requriment.
4.a.You are uploading sales orders in SAP which are showing OPEN status from LEGACY before you uploading the sales orders MM consultant would have uploaded its stock through 561 - dont worry on that, even though if stock is not uploaded also not an issue it will confirm at the later date.
5.a. we have used LSMW process for our PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT, before that we tested BAPI for it some how it was not capturing some fields.

A/c *** type Project Q,A/c assigment type Sales Order E,Sales Doc Project D".

How to call COPY web service from sharepoint in SAP

Hello Experts,
I want to call COPY web service from SharePoint in SAP web dynpro / JAVA application.
However, when I try to connect to web service and download wsdl using   http:// <hostname:port>/_vti_bin/copy.asmx?wsdl
it results in Unauthorized error and doesnt complete the setup. Detail error is :
Error occurred while downloading WSIL file. Error message: Deserializing xml stream http:// <hostname:port>/_vti_bin/copy.asmx?wsdl
