Is setup tables are specific to one datasource?

is setup tables are specific to one datasource?we have in sd header, item, if we run statical setup header data stored in header tabe, item data stored in item table,or ALL data stored in one table only?

Setup table are specific to application groups and not datasources.
If you fill setup tables then you filled it for all datasources under that application group.
To check what all datasources comes under which application group. You can check LBWE.
Hope this helps.

  • What are logistics and setup tables?

    Hi,
What are logistics and setup tables?? How are these two related?
    Regards,
    Sneh

    Hi,
Logistics is the management of the flow of goods, information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of consumers (frequently, and originally, military organizations). Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material-handling, and packaging, and occasionally security. Logistics is a channel of the supply chain which adds the value of time and place utility.
setup tables- are used to full the data for logistic applications.setup table are used for initialization and full loads. As there will be large number of data for logistic application first it will be fetched into setup tables then from there it will be used for initialization and full loads.

    Ravi

  • Load the setup table.

    hi experts,

    Hi,
first remember to do that in your source system (R/3 or ECC)...
otherwise the cusomizing path is as follows...
    SBIW
    Settings for Application-Specific DataSources
    Logistics
    Managing Extract Structures
    Initialization
    Filling in the Setup Table
    Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data
    hope this helps...

  • Filling billing setup table with documents from a given date

    Hi
I would like to fill the setup table in R/3 with SD Billing Documents which have been created from 01/05-2007 until now. Is this possible somehow?
(SBIW --> Business Warehouse --> Settings for App Specific Datasources --> Logistics --> Managing Extract Structures --> Initialization --> Filling in the Setup Table --> App. specific setup of statistical data --> Perform Setup - SD Billing Documents)
The only fields I see are:
    - Archiving run
    - Sales organization
    - Company code
    - Sales document
    Kind regards,
    Torben

    Hi Torben,
I dont think if you dont have option to see the date to select, probably you wont be able to fill your setup table based on date. Otherwise you can pull in the data from R/3 based on this date restriction in your infopackage after filling your setup table without any restriction.
    Regards.

  • Populating Setup Tables

    Hi,
I'm looking for the transactions that would be used to populated the setup tables for my applications.  Can someone confirm what I have?

Application 13 = OLI9BW Reorg. VIS Extr. Str.: Invoices
Application 11 = OLI7BW Reorg. of VIS Extr. Struct.: Order

  • Advantages of filling of setup table ?

    Hello ,
Could you please let me know the advantages of filling setup table ?
    Regards

    Hi,
Setup Tables are cluster tables. They are used to extract the data from R/3 Tables.(LO Extractors)
Basically, for entire application like SD , Billing we have got it's own setup Tables...so while filling the set-up tables, we usually fill for the entire application.
Ex: OLI7BW, is for filling setup Tables for SD application. and OLI9BW T-code is for Billing Application,
When u fill the setup Tables, the data from different tables..VBAK, VBAP, VBRK, VBRP...etc will come through communication Structures and saved in SetupTables...
The main advantage of having setup Tables (These are like Cluster Tables ), we can read the data in different levels..Header level as well as Item level.
when we run init load or Full load in BW, the data will be read from Setup Tables for the first time( Entire data will be read).... and the delta records will be updated to Delta Queue once the v3 jb runs... and we can extract the delta records from Delta Queue.
once we succefully run the init, we can delete setup Tables also... no probs...
Filling up the set up tables depends on the datasource.
there are different T-codes for the respective extract structures
    OLIIBW transaction PM data
OLI1BW INVCO Stat. Setup: Material Movemts
OLI2BW INVCO Stat. Setup: Stor. Loc. Stocks
    OLI3BW Reorg.PURCHIS BW Extract Structures
    OLI4BW Reorg. PPIS Extract Structures
OLI7BW Reorg. of VIS Extr. Struct.: Order
OLI8BW Reorg. VIS Extr. Str.: Delivery
OLI9BW Reorg. VIS Extr. Str.: Invoices
    OLIABW Setup: BW agency business
OLIFBW Reorg. Rep. Manuf. Extr. Structs
OLIIBW Reorg. of PM Info System for BW
OLIQBW QM Infosystem Reorganization for BW
OLISBW Reorg. of CS Info System for BW
    OLIZBW INVCO Setup: Invoice Verification
OLI7BW is the tcode for Sales Order.

  • Setup tables not getting filled.

    Hi all,
I am using MM module which includes purchasing data, i have identified 2lis_02_itm, 2lis_02_cgr, 2lis_02_scn, 2lis_02_sgr data sources for extracting purchasing data.
While extracting data from R/3 for data sources 2lis_02_cgr, 2lis_02_scn the setup tables were not getting filled. i followed all the standard procedures. i tried checking in RSA3 also but the no. of records was 0.
then i checked in NPRT t-code using the run name it was showing no. of docs. but when i extract data from R/3 to BW Processing: No data . 0 records.
Can anyone please help me in this issue?
Why are the setup tables not filled?
i have checked many threads regarding this  issue ...but have no solution....
    Thank you in advance.
Edited by: Jasmine G on Apr 21, 2008 10:32 AM

Application Number for Purchase is 02
So OLI3BW will not fill the Purchase related setup tables.
    Best way is
    T-code = SBIW
-> Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (PI)
           -> Logistics
             ->  Managing Extract Structures
               -> Initialization
-> Filling up the setup tables
-> Application-Specific Setup of Statistical Data
-> Then select the app for which you want to fill setup table

  • Error when filling setup table

    Hi!
I'm trying to fill the set-up table in R3 for SD Billing Documents.
SBIW (Display IMG (Settings for App Specific Datasources --> Logistics --> Managing Extract Structures --> Initialization --> Filling in the Setup Table --> App. specific setup of statistical data)..
When running the program i get this error msg:
"More faulty documents found than the tolerated 0000000000"
The result is that the program stops. Some of the data is coming into the set up tables, but this seems to be inconsistent.
Anybody know what I could do?

  • Problem with populating setup tables for purchasing

    I'm working on NW2004s.
Problem: Setup tables are not getting populated for 2lis_02_hdr, 2lis_02_item..
what all i've done so far:
    1. Activated Data Sources in RSA5.
    2. In LO Data Extraction, all the extract structure are active. (btw in job control i'm not sure what it does, i did make job parameter start date immediate, didnt set the print parms, schedule job gives an error.. anything here i may be messing it up?)
    3. In SBIW initialization Deleted the contents of setup table and executed the 'Purchasing - perform setup'.
    4. In NPRT i can see the log, the name of the source table EKKO, duration of run is 0.0 and no of docs 130.
    5. In RSA3 for 2lis_02_hdr extraction process 0 records.
    6. I look at SE11 for 'MC02M_0HDRSETUP' and table contents gives 0 records.
Any help is appreciated what i'm missing why the setup tables are not populating. I went thru the forum and did what was said but no sucess yet. I'm not an expert in SAP BW just been working for a year so pl dont be cryptic, explain u'r answers. Thanks for your time

    Hi,
All the active datasources will be available in RSA6, after that go to LBWE ,maintain Ex Stru, Maintain DS and make that active, then we go for statistical setup
    have you done these things?
Did you put any filters while filling up the setup tables?
what is the transaction you used for Setup.
    cheers
