Is Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305 which is shown in the list of plugins in Add-ons Manager insecure
Following a reply from Phillip to my earlier question and having followed the links supplied ie installed Flashplayer from the Adobe website I am still unsure if I have the more secure version of the software, since in Add-ons Manager it just shows Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305 which does not tell me what I need to know. Updating Flash Player Does Not Reflect In Add-Ons Manager or Plug-In Check
The add-ons Manager shows I have Flashplayer version 11.3.300.265. The Plug-ins Check shows there is an update, and I downloaded and installed Flash Player version 11.3.300.268. Six times! Each time, the installation shows as successful on the Adobe site, but FF14 does not reflect the new version, and the Plug-in check continues to insist that the version is out of date.
I had no problems whatsoever updating to the latest Flashplayer version in IE (8). But FF is once again giving me trouble with this.
In addition, the add-ons manager shows a version of Flash 9.0.45.0, last updated Feb 20, 2007. There's a big red warning that it's out of date. This is in addition to Shockwave Flash (the correct one) and Shockwave for Director (which is current). It's been like this for awhile, and I disabled the antique version of Flash and it does not affect FF or Flashplayer performance.
I tried deleting my plug-ins database, but I just get all the same info when it is rebuilt. Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated.Such old version are usually located in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
You can enable the plugin and verify the path on the about:plugins page.
You can set the plugin.expose_full_path pref to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.

It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.

I have Adobe flash player version 10.2.152.32 installed and Adobe has released version 10.2.3.1 so why is the add-ons manager not detecting that an update is available?
Adobe Flash is not an add-on, it's a plug-in and you have to use the Plug-in Check to check for updates:

LineIf you have never synced an audiobook yet, you have to connect your ipad and go to the books tab.
Scroll down past the regular books and there will be where you sync your audiobooks.

When i disable plugins firefox runs faster. I could uninstall the plugins, but i periodically want to use them. I have tried using click to play but i want some plugins to run automatically.
I want to disable selective plugins and have some enabled. When i do this via add-ons manager, all plugins are enable on restarting firefox.i don't use any cleanup tools & MSE is my security software, which is rather unobtrusive and shouldn't interfere here...
i currently have one blocklisted plugin (see screenshot), but if i remember it correctly the problem was already present in my case before i had the outdated acrobat plugin installed.
sometimes when you enable/disable a plugin in the addons manager & press f5 afterwards, it immediately switches back to its old state/sometimes it will stay on the new state until a restart of the browser & in some cases it will remember the state even across sessions - it's just not working reliably in any way.
as far as i can observe the pluginreg.dat file in my profile folder the change of a plugin's state isn't written to the file as soon as it's toggled in the UI during a session, but only when the browser is getting closed - so the information has to be in the memory somewhere before and might be getting corrupted. i suspect it might be a general bug but i cannot reproduce it reliably .

How do I get the exact same "Flash" effect ("Text", "Lights and Optical") as shown in the preview?
Whenever I drag the preset onto the layer (or double click on Bridge) what happens is that the text kind of flutters in.
I tried matching the outline and background colors and the effect is much better, but not what's shown in the preview. It lacks the actual flashes, precisely what the preset's about.
Any help?Though I'm new to AE I have to admit I feel rather stupid. All your answers are correct.
I gave the text a stroke with the same color as the background and checked the Motion Blur box for the layer, but didn't turn on the Motion Blur button on top. Now it seems to be working good.

Add-on manager's check for updates is broken.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1. If you want those asss you need a newer model iPod

After update of Nightly to ver 36. appears problem with flash animation/games

The first link is to Shockwave player (not flash) and version is 12.1.3.153
and second is indeed Flash player but at version 15.0.0.189.
The Shockwave player is not used much (and there is not even a plugin for Linux) so don't bother with it. -

Turns out flash CC is not supported in google clickTag. I need to install the previous version of flash being CS6. Flash CC will not allow you to publish to previous versions as 10.3 is the lowest it goes. Will this feature be added to flash CC. Most sites don't support anything over flash player 9. It doesn't make much sense. Why was this not implemented in the new CC 2014?
For now I will try and download the CS6 version however even that's proving to be difficult. It's not an option in my previous version list. Please helpThis is about Premiere Pro, but the IDEA is the same

Thank you and best regardsYou can not enter the URL into the Radio app on the ATV. You can enter it into iTunes then use AirPlay to send the audio to the ATV. You can also use internet radio apps on iPads, touch and iPhones to AirPlay on the ATV as well. I use TuneIn Radio which doesn't let you enter URLs but it has pretty much every radio and podcast feed under the sun.

Firefox 6 can't open add-ons manager to uninstall yahoo toobar which installed by itself.
Yahoo toobar installed itself on my computer and I can't open Add-ons manager to uninstall it. Add-ons manager window just keeps trying to load but won't load.
Open the Firefox Safe Mode and un-install that Yahoo Toolbar extension from there.

Shockwave Flash 12.0.0.70 which is set to "Always Activate".
Adobe websites list:

-- so what on earth is the Firefox-listed "Shockwave Flash"?
This simply adds to the utter confusion already surrounding Flash Player -- which I cannot find anywhere amongst my Programs -- but which I can find under "Uninstall or change a Program" where it is listed as "Adobe Flash Player 12 Plugin".
There is also the thorny issue of FlashPlayer vs. FlashPlayerDownloader......
