Is Skype no longer an interest on the Hot or Not mobile app?

Please forgive me if this question sounds a bit silly, but is Skype no longer an interest on the Hot or Not mobile app? I love to waste time with the Hot or Not app and one of the main reasons I use it is to find other people with Skype accounts. For the last three days, over a period of probably six hours, I have not encountered one person who has listed Skype as an interest and I find this extremely odd. Anyone else notice this too? Has the government clamped down on Hot or Not like it did on Yahoo and its chat rooms a few years ago? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they did as a measure of protecting kids against online sexual predators and the general Internet community from the huge growth of spammers/scammers plaguing social media in recent years, but I can only surmise at this point!

I forgot to point out that I have e-mailed Hot or Not about this issue and am still waiting for a reply.

You can't add music to the cloud, whether it will show there for streaming and redownloading depends upon what country that you are in. If you are in a country where music is available in the cloud then you don't have to download the music from the store, if you turn Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'show all' heading) 'on' then you should be able to stream purchased music in the Music app without downloading it - your phone will need to be online in order to stream, and if using 3G/4G then it will use some of your data allowance.
If you download an album or a track then it will be downloaded onto your phone. You can't upload music to the cloud from an iOS device. Whether music that you've bought shows for streaming depends upon what country that you are in and if the album or track remains in the store (unless you've subscribed to iTunes Match), and if you are connected to a network.

When I use shuffle play, my ipod touch stops playing after one or two songs and the artwork does not match the song.

The computer that I original used with my ipod touch is dead, so I am now synching and backing up to a new computer. I had to restore the software to this ipod. I can drop and drag my tunes back into the ipod, but not my apps.

Skype is auto-answering even though the box is not...

I have a problem. Skype on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) is automatically answering calls, even though the box is unchecked. Sometimes I don't even realise someone has called me, but my phone has already answered, so they can hear everything I am saying!
My Android Skype version is 4.6.0.42007

Very scary and outright dangerous. Wouldn't surprise me if a bug like this could have arosen from faulty answering button logic (i.e. the phone/framework thinks the green "answer" button is being pressed all the time though it is not).
In either case, this is just more icing on the cake which is a client broken beyond all repair. Android Skype just needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up if they are serious about supporting the platform any longer. As bad as things are now, I'd respect them far more if they just slam dunk announced that they have stopped supporting Android and are focusing on other platforms.

How do I use a MyVerizon ringtone I received in the form of a txt message? The long touch method on the media does not work, btw.

I purchased a ringtone on My Verizon via my computer. They sent me txt message with the media but I can't figure out how to save it as a ringtone. The long touch method doesn't work. It's not anywhere in my media files, and frankly I just joined verizon but they have proven a bit difficult. On thin ice already, this isn't helping.

Have you managed to save it to your phone? If so, download a file explorer app (like Estrongs file explorer) from the Play Store. Open up the file explorer app and navigate to the "Download" folder. Scroll through your downloads to locate the ringtone file. Select it and use the file explorer's copy or cut function to put the ringtone file in the clipboard. Back out of the "download" folder to the "sdcard" level. Then look for a "ringtones" folder. Select it to open it and view the contents. Using the file explorer, paste the ringtone file to that folder. Back out of the file explorer app. The ringtone will now be available in the "phone ringtone" selection list.

Why is the hot redeploy not working in JDEV 11.1.1.6?

Using the JDEV 11G 11.1.1.5, I could perform a hot redeploy of my JSFF page when I am on debug mode.
Say if I add an attribute to an input text, I could just save it and refresh the browser and I see my changes appearing.
But when I tried doing the same in the latest release JDEV 11.1.16, I am encountering errors when I clicked refresh.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove apps from Recently Used (multi-tasking) list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Swipe up on the app preview card to remove it from the list
- Press the home button when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

TY for the reply, the information was enlightening to be sure. I never knew safe mode was an option with Firefox. I have so many tasks running that I didn't want to shut things down. What I did is turn off some of the last plug-ins I installed. That did not fix the problem at least in the first look. What happened next was very interesting none the less. I had a moment of mouse spastic wrist syndrome and accidentally moved a tab in such a way that it opened in a new window. The URL bar was white and editable. So I moved all my tabs to the new window and everything works as it should. I have restarted Firefox this morning and it came back with the bar editable and I am speechless to understand what I may have done to correct the problem if anything ??

Skype No longer works in Windows, So I've upgraded...

I've used Skype (with Skype credit to contact family and friends whilst on holiday) My netbook was running Microsh*te XP, but now it seems Skype no longer works, version 6.1.18 prompted to update, and would not allow me to continue using it, the new updated version doesn't work with XP, so I tried backdating to an even older version 6.1.14, but alas it's been deactivated, so I'm not replacing my netbook with a new one, nor do I want to spend as much money as my computer is worth to buy Windows 7 and attemp install on my 10" netbook with a minimal 1GB of RAM.
So alas I upgraded... to... Linux Mint Kde (Rebecca) and now...
Voila! Skype works perfectly

All the old computers I own branded or unbranded have been fully compatible with XP SP3. If for some reason you couldn't get your computer functional in XP SP3, you could always utilize the workaround I posted here to modify XP SP2 just enough to make Skype functional. I have a triple XP OS boot computer (XP 64-bit SP2, XP 32-bit SP2 [with workaround], XP 32-bit SP3) and they all operate just fine with the latest release of Skype (7.1).

Why is skype no longer signing in automatically?

On my computer (Win XP SP3), I have skype (5.3.0.120) set to sign in automatically, but not start automatically. Normally, when I click on skype in the start menu, it automatically signs in and goes straight to the main window with all my contacts and everything. Today, when I clicked on skype in the start menu, it gave me a log in screen. It remembers my user name but it is asking me to put in my password. (The 'sign me in when skype starts' box is still checked.) Why would it suddenly ask for the password? I am not aware of any updates this morning (and past updates have not resulted in this behavior). Is this a known issue with skype today, or is it possible my computer has been compromised? Is it safe to put in my password to log in to skype?

The problem, that Skype does not start when you start windows/logon, seems to be with version 5.5, both the Standard and business versions.
The simplest workaround is to disable the "Skype starts when I start Windows" setting and then add a shortcut to Skype.exe to the "Startup" folder.
This implies no changes of any setting of Internet Explorer or otherwise and can easily be reversed by removing (deleting) the shortcut.
