As others have said, Skype To Skype calls, that is, one Skype account to another Skype account is free. However, as is common with such services, Skype also offers a premium package as well as subscriptions, which offers a few more extra features and one free national subscription of your choice. This is known as freemium, whereby there are free services, which Skype's are actually quite good and useful, but paid services are available as an optional feature. If you are constantly being harrassed for money from Skype, it could be a sign of malware or a phisher.

IMovie, iPhoto not free anymore on iPad Air
I purchased an iPad Air for myself a month ago. I installed the free iMovie, iPhoto etc. with my own ID. I gave that iPad Air to a family member and purchased another iPad Air and installed everything the same way as I had on the first. My family member restored the iPad I gave them and tried to get the iMovie, iPhoto with their own ID but it's not free anymore. What can I go to get these apps back on that iPad?
The software was provided free of charge once for the iPad. You used your account to collect on the one time free offer. The offer is now spent. Your family member can not take advantage of a free offer that has been consumed at this point.
What you need to do is disconnect their account on the iPad. Log in to the old iPad with your account, and then reinstall the apps you need to. Then disconnect your account and have them log in again with their account.. -
GB on store not free anymore ?
İ Updated my ipad 2 now it is ios 8, but i could not update garabad as i forgot my brothers id password, so i decided to delete garaban and re install it with my account, but when i wanted to download garagebad, i saw that it is not free anymore, is it no free anymorw ?
It's now a paid-for app - it used to be free with an in-app purchase for instruments/songs, but that has now been reversed (the app is now paid-for at, I think, the price of the old IAP, and the IAP is now free to download)

I reinstalled Mavericks and iPhoto has been deleted after installation.
On the AppStore iPhoto is not free anymore?

BenWhat version of iPhoto did you have prior to ugrading to Mavericks? Remember that updates within a version, ie. 9.2 to 9.3 is free but upgrades like 8.1.2 to 9.1 require a purchase4.

There must be a copy of the previous iPhoto app on the Mac so the App Store can determine if the update is free or not.

Some apps are written for the iPhone. Some are written for the iPad. Some are universal and will run on both.
That app is NOT universal. That means you must purchase a separate version of the app for iPhone and iPad. The iPad version will NOT run on the iPhone.
In these cases, the iPhone version of the app usually WILL run on the iPad, but it will be window-boxed when running (or expanded and unable to take advantage of the iPad display).
Pay attention when making a purchase if you want it to run on both. If it does not have a + in the price box, it is not universal. -

Open Mac App Store and look under your purchases tab. If your Mac shipped with Snow Leopard or earlier than you can reinstall iMovie from teh Applications disk that came with your Mac.

Anybody know if Audacity is still free? I use to use Audacity and now that I'm upgraded to Lion I downloaded the latest free (indicated on http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/8052/audacity) version and when I opened it it indicated that it's a trial version. Hope somebody can help solve this mystery.

Hello, I want to perform a simple task.I have two Adobe ID accounts linked to two different email addresses. One account i do not want to use anymore but it is linked to my main email account. the account i do not want anymore is still in its free stage and i have not purchased anything with it. My other Adobe ID account is linked to an email i rarely use and don't particularly want to use. i have tried changing the linked email account to my regular one i use. But it obviously does not allow me because of it already being linked to my other non used obsolete Adobe ID account. Is there any solution to this?? Please help.

Go to settings, iTunes & App Store, tap on your ID, sign out, then sign in with your new information. You cannot delete an old ID, you just stop using it.

I have been using a free trial of Photoshop cc and my computer crashed. Now it says up to date, but the program is not installed anymore. How can I re install it? I already uninstalled creative cloud and re installed it, but the same issue occurs.

Downloaded and updated to 10.5.2 with no hassles 'cept Skype (2.0.85) is not working anymore? I'm downloading Skype 2.6 and will post an update on what happens.
I had Skype 2.6 installed when I did the Leopard update. No problems. I just used it for a couple hours on a video chat. Message chat worked fine too.

Both cameras (front/back) will not work anymore. I would tap on the camera app, and the camera shutters would stay closed for a while and when it finally opens, it leaves a full blank screen. Is there a way I could send it in and get that repaired?

Free Phone was not Free and no Customer Service
Why was I Charge a $30.00 upgrade fee when I received my new Commando 4G LTE phone. The ad said it was free? $30.00 ain't free! I saw nothing in the add that said I was going to pay an extra $30.00. I did buy an accessory package for $49.99, but my bill came to $79.99 plus tax, I believe this is false advertising. When I called the number "For questions on your billing", I was on hold for 30 minutes and hung up, as I got tired of waiting.
Paying $30.00 for a free phone IS NOT FREE! I don't care what you call it, it ain't free!
I've been with Verizon since they took over this area's Alltel customers and have never been charged for a new phone. You're not going to build a very loyal base when you keep adding fees and raising cost , you can bet I'll be looking at other cell phone services in the future. I just had my WiFi go from $10.00 to $15.00 a GB and now this. I guess keeping your old customers isn't important anymore.
