What year is your iMac ... how much memory ... which graphics? Have you gone into the Preferences under the Final Cut Pro menu and selected the Playback tab and set to Use Original or Optimized Media ... then under that set the Playback Quality to High Quality?

Have 2 subscriptions to the same destination. First (cheaper) for landlines and Second (more espensive) for landlines and mobiles. Based on FAQ below I expected landline subscription is used for landlines and landline + mobile for mobiles at least until one of them exausted.
However when I call landline I'm crarged minutes from the Second (landline and mobile) subscription. So I cannot use my landline only subscription until landline+mobile is exausted and then Skype will charge me pay-as-you go rate for calls to mobile.
Is that how that supposed to work? Then either I miss something in the statement from Skype website below or this statement is misleading:
If I have more than one subscription that covers calls to the same country, which one is used when I make a call?
Skype is pretty clever about using the subscription that’s best for you. It ranks your subscriptions and uses them in this order:
By minute rate – lowest rate (i.e. cheapest) ranks first
By plan type – unlimited* ranks first, and limited ranks second
By next monthly minutes reset date – nearest ranks firstAny response to this from Skype? This is pretty phony practice IMHO. Sure, couple of dollars stollen by Skype this way does not validate any serious action from single customer besides just stopping being fooled by this subscriptions scam. But I hope that some class action lawyers monitor these forums.

Video Playback Pauses when streaming from iTunes to itunes
Hi,
I have a 2011 iMac running OS X Mavericks Server and I use this as my main iTunes library computer. I also have a 2013 (latest model) MacBook Air running Mavericks. My WiFi network comprises of 2x Airport Express's, both the latest models and configured for both 2.4ghz & 5ghz frequencies.
Using Home Sharing, I like to stream video from my iMac's iTunes library to my MacBook Air. The problem is that playback pauses every few minutes. The only way to resume playback is to close the video window and open the video again. This problem occurs regardless of video quality (SD, 720 or 1080) and on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi settings... On the odd occasion this problem doesn't happen at all.
I experienced this problem before upgrading to mavericks so I don't think its mavericks related. And I don't experience this playback issue when streaming to ipad mini, iphone, or apple tv... It only happens when streaming from imac to macbook air...
Please help if you have a solution.Try:

I don't strream ffpmeg from my source, but I stream h264 from my source, and this works when transcoding.

Audio and video not synchronized when exporting from Premiere Pro CS6

We have made a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 that´s intended to be exported to DVD (it´s a weeding). We are working with NTSC DV Widescreen. The exporting is 720x480
We have 2 audio lines activated and sounding on this project.
The question is:
When exporting the entire video (the entire timeline sequece) using Adobe Media Encoder to formats like H.264 (NTSC DV Widescreen)... Quick Tile Movie or AVI without compression (we tested these formats) the 2 audio channels get unsynchronized from the video. The same problem occurs if we get a direct link of the timeline from Premiere to Encore.
And Inside Premiere Preview audio is preety correct.
Does anyone here are getting such problem?
Also..can I ask another question (as I´m not expert on video production)?. What´s the best format for our purpose? Export a video to be played to DVD (we record weedings, birthdays..social events). No problem the time to export. We´d like the best quality for output.

We have 4 cameras here. 1 is Sony model HD1000 (since it works with Mini-DV cassete we need to capture the image via Firewire). 2 cameras are Sony HD2000 (it generates *.MPEG files if I remember well). And 1 camera is a Panasonic AG-DVC7 (it generates *.MTS files)
We start a new project using the Standard NTSC Widescreen 48Khz format. When we drag to the timeline for example the MTS file...Premiere ask us if we want to Keep and Change timeline to suit the file specification. Anyway we always have 1 or 2 camera files that has a yellow line over timeline.
But I renders correct...no problem to edit...and we had no problem with Premiere CS5.5 :/
We are downloading the latest update of Premiere. I´ll make some test and publish here if the problem persist.

Video quality bad when compresed from final cut pro to dvd studio pro. HELP

I have a dvd project im working on and first i tried the video that i captured from final cut to just use in dvd studio pro but that didnt work. then i used the compressor and used the 60min high quality video and that looks even worse. what do u suggest i do?You must get to know what these settings do to be able to use Compressor. Try using a 10 second test of your video file and encoded at different settings to get a feel for how compression works.
Min 4 and peak at 7, a difference of 3 between min and peak is a good start at CBR, but you must test.
Just like using a video camera, if you use the same exposure setting all the time, most of your pictures will be unuseable, either too dark or too light. -
Video files disappear when AirDrop from Yosemite to iOS 8.1?
Im trying to transfer a video file from my MBA running Yosemite to my 5S running 8.1. It appears that the video transfers successfully but I can't find it in the Photos app. I did this multiple times, and the same result each time.
Photos, on the other hand, work perfectly
Any ideas?Same for me...no comments here yet either.

Video is distorted when transferring from a VHS
I have tried several times to transfer VHS tapes into iMovie on my MacG5 via a pinnacle movie box dv. The tapes tends to start transferring well, but then I see momentary glitches where the video becomes distorted and the sound pops. Any idea why this could happen and how to prevent it?
There are no settings on the PInnacle to adjust. I have used the Pinnacle before, and every so often I will get these slight glitches. Its strange - you might think its the pinnacle, BUT the same glitch happens at the spot on the tape every time which may lead one to think its the tape. But if I play the same tape on my TV, there is nothing wrong with it. Any ideas?
Could it have anything to do with the FW ports on the G5? -
Skype video calls on Nokia E7-00 Symbian Belle
Please advise if video calling will be available in the future on Symbian Belle phones.
Belle is so much faster and works fine for Mobile video phone calls.

When I try to answer a skype video call on my Ipad (2nd generation), as soon as I click on the phone or video icon the call is ended. This only happens with one of my contacts. I can video call them without any problem! But not in reverse. Any suggestions???
You may have better luck posting this on the Skype forum to see if anyone else has had the problem.

@Tylerdowner: hmm.. maybe yes.. I just want to use the DOWNTHEMALL AddsOn for the saving file not the default download.. because my costumer download MP3 files and save it 3 or more files at a time so my Internet Connection goes down :( so I just want to limit them to save 1 file at a time.

Can I use iChat AV on my mac to talk to a PC operating Skype video
My Father in law uses video skype on his PC and wants to video chat with us. Being a mac head, and liking the interface and features of ichat more than skype, I was wondering if I could communicate with him using iChat. Is it possible or do I need to download a script. Should I forget the whole idea and just download mac skype?
I'm fairly new to iChat. It's one of those applications I've ignored until recently, so a patronising tone and child like instructions would be appreciated.Smartmart
iChat won't communicate with Skype.
Choices are:
1 You stick with iChat and he uses AIM 5.9 or Trillian on the PC.
2 You use Skype on the mac. Download from

No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:

If Lightroom keeps closing even when you try all this, you may need to reinstall Lightroom because your copy may be screwed up. -
Video streaming of DRM movies, purchased from iTunes and other vendors, to any iOS device is not working.
I am not sure if you really understand the issue at hand. Possibly that you are just scanning, not reading the whole text, or simply that you just want to close a thread with your last words or derail it for whatever strange reason. So far you have been more destructive than helpful, but again this could be ignorance at best.
If you would have had the decency to read the entire thread you would have come to the conclusion that every manufacturer, I came across, has posted FAQ's to this issue but Apple. Find a short excerpt below:

The model 2,1 MacBook has an easily removable battery. You can get a new third party battery fairly cheap on eBay. Every MacBook from 2006 through Mid 2009 except the Late 2008 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 and 2010 White Unibodies use the same A1185 battery.

Removing the battery:
Shut down the computer. Disconnect any cords connected to the computer.
Turn the computer over.
Locate the battery latch on one side of the battery.
Use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn clockwise. The battery should pop up slightly.
Lift the battery out.
Installing the battery:
Place the right side of the battery into the battery compartment at an angle, as shown below.
Gently press the left side of the battery down until it sits flat.
While holding the battery down, use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn counter-clockwise. The battery should lock into place.
Note: Keep in mind that once the new battery is inserted, you will need to press the power button to start up the computer.
