I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close. Test the results after processing these steps.

If experiencing the issue with iTunes on the computer, quit iTunes and restart the computer.

I suggest that you try to use Tiny Umbrella to kick your device out of recovery

After downloading and opening tiny umbrella, Click on exit out of recovery. Hope that works for you. If it doesnt work, try to write a detailed description of your problem and what is appearing on your screen etc and we will go from there. Good Luck

It solved the problem with my iPod. Had the same issue as above since yesterday. Thought my iPod broke.

Can you please try the following?
- first make sure that you have flash player up-to-date. You can get the latest version from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
Now log into story wait for some time to see if this resolves your issue or not
- If it doesn't then try opening private browsing/incognito mode of your browser and try logging into Story from there
If you are able to login then you should try clearing cache and cookies of your browser

My adobe has been stuck at 35% for over a half an hour

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Should I cancel and try again or is this normal? It jumped to 35% within the first minute then has been lingering there ever since. Any tips or is this normal?

that's not normal.
you could check your activity monitor (mac) or task manager (win) to look for a hanging adobe thread and terminated it. or you could cancel the installation, run the cleaner (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and then retry installing.

My app has been crashing on me for almost a day now. How do I fix it without losing all my data on it?!

Every time I open my app (Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff) it'll open for about 5 seconds then bring me back to my home page. I've tried everything, restarted my phone 50 times. I've had this game for maybe a month and it has never done this before. I'm at level 26 in this game so deleting it and starting from scratch isn't really an option. As when there is a problem with a 3rd party app on your computer, contact the Apple developer. The developer likely has a website for troubleshooting and to report problems.

My ipod touch kept crashing and not loading apps, syncing did not solve prblem so i did the 'restore' option. now it has been stuck 'verifying restore' for more than 8 hrs!! help

Try putting the iPod into DFU mode and restoring again:

If that still doesn't work, then the jailbreak may have cause a corruption which is now fatal; that's not uncommon with jailbroken devices. If that is indeed the case, your iPod may be irrecoverable and you'll be shopping for a new one.

"Spotlight" has been "indexing backup volume" for hours

I have been having some problems with making a backup to Time Capsule using Time Machine, but it finally was resolved (after a very long prep time). Now, "Spotlight" shows a message that it is indexing the Backup volume (icon for backup value stays on the desktop)and estimating the backup time, but no time ever showed. I went to Console to see what messages were being posted and saw many messages as follows:
8/5/08 1:45:28 PM /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd[185] Waiting for Spotlight to finish indexing /Volumes/Backup of Barbara Klein’s MacBook/Backups.backupdb
Now spotlight is finished estimating and telling me that the estimated time is about 70 hours to index (and rising)!! Can anyone tell me what is going on? Or what, if anything I should do? If I turn off the computer, won't it simply start that indexing again when a backup happens?
Help would be appreciated!

I have done that, so I will see what happens next! Putting the Time Capsule and the backup volume on the privacy list seemed to shorten the time to 7 minutes! And now the indexing has stopped. Whether this will be an issue if I am ever looking for something on the backup volume is a question, I suppose.

Ipod nano has been in recovery process for over 11 hours

My ipod nano wouldnt update to my itunes, saying something like my playlists were not there anymore? Well. they are, and working as far as i know. I had it restore itself, and it said "do not connect ipod, it is in recovery mode" so i waiting a few hours, and i closed my itunes, then opened another one up. It connected my ipod, then said "ipod is in recovery mode, it cannot be used by itunes. It will come up on itune source panel when finished."
It hasnt poped up yet, and im just wondering wether to disconnect my ipod... or what is this normal? i mean 11 hours is a LONG time

I ordered a new phone, for an early upgrade, on last Wednesday (4/15) and even paid extra for 1 day shipping. It is now 5 days later and after having checked my order status, it still says:

There is only one small discrepancy - my bank gave me a 'fraud alert' (which prevented any purchases from going through) due to the amount of the phone upgrade. However, I cleared this check on last Thursday (4/16) and nothing has happened. I know that it may have caused a hiccup in your system, but can we do something about this? I'd really like to see my new phone.

Your best bet is to call you may have to "tickle" them to try the payment again if your bank stopped it the first time.

Try terminating the Facebook App and restarting it.
If that does not work try restarting and/or resetting your iDevice.
