Is Sun DS 5.2 compatible with OUD 11gR2 PS1 Replication Gateway?

Hi
Is it possible to synchronise a Sun DS 5.2 master with OUD 11gR2 PS1 using an OUD replication gateway?
If not, is it possible to set up replication between Sun DS 5.2 and ODSEE 11gR2, and then synchronise ODSEE 11gR2 with OUD via the OUD replication gateway?
Thanks.

Hi,
The replication gateway must communicate with one ODSEE 11gR2 master. However the rest of the topology does not need to be upgraded to 11g.
Many customers deploy the replication gateway and the ODSEE11g instance on the same box; The ODSEE11g can be seen as a companion of the replication gateway.
Note that some specific limitations apply when DSEE5.2 is in the picture: Some Password policy related state, e.g. nb of failed authentication are not fully replicated between DSEE 5.2 and OUD.

  • What ADF version is compatible with FormsReports 11gR2 install?

    Hello everyone,
our customer has installed a vanilla FormsReports 11gR2.
This comes with a WLS 10.3.6 and JRF libraries.
They want to start with ADF development and they wondered what version of ADF is compatible with this FormsReports release?
The same question but differently formulated: how can you see what version of the JRF libraries are used? Looking at the version numbers in the deployment table of the WLS console is not conclusive.
Thank you very much in advance.

I concur with Matthew.  The release notes for sun cluster and oracle for solaris might tell you.  oracle 9.2.0.8 is out of support on solaris and I recall needing a number of patches to get it to a fit state ... and that is without considering sun cluster.  Extended support for 9.2.0.8 ended about 4 years ago ... this is not a combination I would currently be touching with a bargepole!  You are best to seek on MOS.

  • Is Sun Storage 7000 Storage replication adapter compatible with 2540 series

We are evaluating VMWare Site Recovery Manager 4.0. Is Sun Storage 7000 Storage replication adapter compatible with 2540 Sun Storage series?

I would say the short answer would be no. The 2540 is a LSI based device, the SRM adapter for that is written by LSI. The 7000
series array is based on OpenSolaris and ZFS, quite a different beast.

  • Is Sun Java Web Server 6.1 compatible with RedHat 5.5

    Hi,
Sun Java web Server 6.1 installed on Red Hat 5.1 and Opertaing System is going to be upgraded to Red Hat 5.5. Can any one tell me whether Sun Java Web Server 6.1 is compatible with Red Hat Linux 5.5

If you want the internal server to service requests for /admin, you should teach the internal server to service requests for /admin.
It is possible -- but complicated -- to configure Web Server 6.1 to rewrite request URIs before proxying requests to the internal server. However, unless you rewrite all the HTML generated by the internal server, the results probably won't be what you want. Consider, for example, what happens if the internal server's HTML references /foo.gif. Does that mean the web browser should ask for /admin/foo.gif or /foo.gif?
Rewriting request URIs is much simpler in Web Server 7.0, but it's still probably not the right tool.

  • E5500 disks of 73GB compatible with V890 SUN Server

    hi all,
My company wants to buy a V890 SUN server, with 6 disks of 146 GB FC-Al, 15000 RPM. Furthermore, we have a E5500 SUN sever with 73GB of Disks. We want to use the Hard Disks found in E5500 in V890 as Internal Disks. Both Disks on E5500 are FC-AL.
Is it possible to do so. Please Advice.
    1. Does anyone know how hardware RAID is perform on V890, with 6 disks. whether additional cards need to be bought.
    2. What is the maximum size of Hard Disks available for V890.
    Kind Regards,

... I'll give it to you that you were attempting a simple edit.
Others post multiple times, thinking that'll give their question emphasis or importance (it doesn't).
    (2) This is the wrong forum. Nothing in your question involves OpenSPARC - a new cpu technology.

The Hardware/Server forum may have been the better choice.
    (3) The E5500 cannot have internal FC drives, so I don't know where you're running them.
Technically it doesn't ever have any internal drives; even the SCSI disk boards are attached as external peripherals.

The E5500 is essentially an E4500 in a rack that holds disk arrays.
I suggest you begin by finding your hardware in the Sun System Handbook.
    http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/
Find the part numbers qualified for each product and compare them.
Find the manuals for each product. (yes, you will need to buy a RAID card for the V890, else use software RAID)
Consider contacting Sun's pre-sales techsupport with your V890 questions.

  • Jds-help and Solaris Management Console compatible with jdk6u1?

    Hello,
I am running Sol 10 11/06 for sparc on a Sun Blade. I just upgraded to jdk6u1 from jdk5. I installed all required j6 packages, and then installed patches for j6u1. I then used pkgrm to remove all jdk5-related packages (I searched for all packages starting with SUNWj5 and then removed them). Java seems to be working fine.
Now, my Desktop Overview and other java-related help functions do not work. I get this error:
    # jds-help ghelp:jdsoverview
** (jdshelp:826): WARNING **: An exception occured 'Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0''
A large jre error log is produced that mentions a problem with JVM:

    # Problematic frame:
    # V [libjvm.so+0x14dd6c]
Solaris Management Console does not work either, and gives an error that no suitable java 2 version is installed in /usr/java.
Maybe I removed a j5 package I shouldn't have. Which j5 packages are related to the operation of jds-help? Any ideas as to what is causing my problem with jds-help and smc?
Does anyone know FOR SURE that jdshelp and smc are compatible with jdk6u1?
    Thank you...

I got rid of jdk6 and re-installed 1.5.0.11. Solaris Management Console 2.1 works again, so it appears as if smc and Sun Studio 11 are both INCOMPATIBLE with jdk/jre6.
jds-help still does not work, with a jvm error, so perhaps it is also incompatible with jdk/jre 1.5.0.10+.

I'm guessing you have a PIV machine? Any platform that uses the Intel PIV processor, with the sun JRE and Symmantec JIT, OUI version 1.7.1.9.0 and earlier, will encounter this problem.
Windows NT, Windows 2000 and NetWare platforms are confirmed to be affected.
You can either search for Patch # 1507768 on the Metalink site or you can copy the contents of the installation CD to your hard disk and rename all occurences of the file symcjit.dll to symcjit.ora. Then you should be able to go to that directory on your hard drive and run setup just fine.

    ... haven't a clue.
You've asked a software question in a hardware forum.
The question is beyond the scope of these forums.
You may need to try somewhere else, perhaps somewhere that is
more focussed on the software or the OS you hope to use with it.
I tried a quick Google search on each, and found:
