Is Switching of Frameworks possible

Hi,
For Business Objects -- BUS 2121, we have used Process Controlled workflow earlier but it couldnt be used further.
Process Controlled workflow is already implemented for BUS 2121, i want to switch back to normal type of workflows
So now i want to shift from Process Control Framework to Application Controlled workflow for BUS2121.
Is it possible,
if yes , then please suggest me the way to switch from Process Controlled to Application Controlled.
What would be the feasible steps for transformation.
Can any one help me in this regards,
Thanks in Advance.

  • Workflow not starting and RFC status is 'User Switch Is Not Possible'

    Hi All,
I am using ABAP classes to raise an event that triggers the workflow.
When I am executing the workflow from SWUS or raising event from SWUE or SE24, the workflow is starting fine.
But when I am raising the event from a Webdynpro application, the same event is raised, but the workflow is not getting triggerred.
I could see a record in SWEL, but the workitem is not created.
In SWEL, it is showing the RFC status as 'User Switch Is Not Possible'.
When I go to SM58, I am able to re-execute the failed transaction and this time the workflow is getting triggered.
The same workflow is working fine in D env. but not in T env.
The event linkages are all same and I also used the COMMIT WORK statement after raising the event.
Another problem is the RFC status is sometimes set to SYSFAIL and sometimes as 'System overloaded, repeat immediately by batch' other than 'User Switch Is Not Possible'.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Cay.

    Hi,
call function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_RFC explicitly before a remote call to be able to treat a possible exception. If the authorization exists, the function module does not return an explicit result but, like all successfully executed function modules, sets sy-subrc to 0. If sy-subrc is not equal to zero then it could be the problem with the user authorization.
I also think it could alos possible because of your Host name check whether any changes are done to host name.

No. The closest you'll come is the "Multi-tasking" bar: Double tap the Home button.
2/ can we block the phone in panorama view ?
What do you mean here? You can only restrict the camera itself, not any options within the camera app.

  • Switch beetween Jcos - Possible in coding??

    Hi,
I would like to explain my scenario:
I have developed a Web Dynpro Application which has two standard JCo Connections for using RFCs/ BAPIs which are bindend to client 555:
    RD_Test and RD_Test_MetaData.
In addion to that I have manually add two other Jcos in Web Dnypro Content Administrator which are binded to client 200:
    RD_Test:200 and RD_Test_MetaData:200.
I would like to know if it is possible to switch to another Jco within my coding.
I know it is possible to use sap.wdarfc.useSys in Application Parameter, but this is not the solution, I can use for my scenario.
For example, I must implement something like this:
    If (parameter==1){Use Jco 1, Use JcoMetaData1}
    If (parameter==2){Use Jco 2, Use JcoMetaData2}
    and so on...
Is that possible? And if it is possible, could you give me some coding examples?
    Regards,
    Frank

It is only possible to switch model data jco at runtime - but it is highly not recommended!

  • Flexconnect AP - dynamic VLAN and local/central switched via radius possible?

    Hello at all,
is it possible to tell a flexconnect ap if the client at a single ssid should get local switched or central switched and if central switched, which vlan it should use?
All I got so far was either central switched with dynamic vlan assignment or local switched with static vlan (because it falls back to the default static vlan configured at the ap if the radius assigned vlan doesn't exist), but I need a flexconnect ap that puts client a into the local switched vlan a and client b to the central switched vlan b, both in the same ssid. Is there a radius attribute to tell a flexconnect ap how to handle this while non flexconnect aps ignore it?
    To be more detailed:
At the central location all APs are running in local-mode, radius assigns different vlans to the clients (different departments), lets say client a = vlan 100, client b = vlan 200 and this works fine. At the remote locations the APs are running in flexconnect-mode with default vlan 10 so that the authenticated clients can break out locally and use the local infrastructure for printing and file storage. At this locations radius also says client a = vlan 100, but client a should be forwarded to local vlan 10 (which already works because there is no vlan 100 configured at the ap so the default static configuration with vlan 10 is used), while client b should stay at vlan 200 and should be central switched to the controller because it isn't allowed to access the local infrastructure. How could this be done? Creating another ssid isn't a valid option.
    Thank you,
    Christian

    Hi Christian.
This is what 7.3 mobility design document tells about "FlexConnect VLAN Based Central Switching" which is listed in above slide.
"From release 7.3 onwards, traffic from FlexConnect APs can be switched centrally or locally depending on the presence of a VLAN on a FlexConnect AP.
In controller software release 7.2, AAA override of VLAN (Dynamic VLAN assignment) for locally-switched WLANs puts wireless clients on the VLAN provided by the AAA server. If the VLAN provided by the AAA server is not present at the AP, the client is put on a WLAN mapped VLAN on that AP and traffic switches locally on that VLAN. Further, prior to release 7.3, traffic for a particular WLAN from FlexConnect APs can be switched Centrally or Locally depending on the WLAN configuration."
    FlexConnect VLAN Central Switching Summary
Traffic flow on WLANs configured for Local Switching when FlexConnect APs are in connected mode are as follows:
•If the VLAN is returned as one of the AAA attributes and that VLAN is not present in the FlexConnect AP database, traffic will switch centrally and the client is assigned this VLAN/Interface returned from the AAA server provided that the VLAN exists on the WLC.
•If the VLAN is returned as one of the AAA attributes and that VLAN is not present in the FlexConnect AP database, traffic will switch centrally. If that VLAN is also not present on the WLC, the client will be assigned a VLAN/Interface mapped to a WLAN on the WLC.
•If the VLAN is returned as one of the AAA attributes and that VLAN is present in the FlexConnect AP database, traffic will switch locally.
•If the VLAN is not returned from the AAA server, the client is assigned a WLAN mapped VLAN on that FlexConnect AP and traffic is switched locally.
Traffic flow on WLANs configured for Local Switching when FlexConnect APs are in standalone mode are as follows:
•If the VLAN returned by the AAA server is not present in the FlexConnect AP database, the client will be put on a default VLAN (that is, a WLAN mapped VLAN on a FlexConnect AP). When the AP connects back, this client is de-authenticated and will switch traffic centrally.
•If the VLAN returned by the AAA server is present in the FlexConnect AP database, the client is placed into a returned VLAN and traffic will switch locally.
•If the VLAN is not returned from the AAA server, the client is assigned a WLAN mapped VLAN on that FlexConnect AP and traffic will switch locally.
Enjoy your weekend & I am sure you will be able to get this working.

  • Trigger an action on VT switch, is it possible?

Kde has a long standing bug, with at least nvidia proprietary driver, that corrupts the display if effects are active and one does a vt switch.
Disabling and re-enabling the effects solves the issue, so i wonder if (udev, maybe?) is possible to do it automatically as a temporary workaround till the bug is sorted out.
    Anyone?

    Greetings Mandy,
At present the Calendar app for iOS (its not actually iCal but an app made specifically for iOS devices) only allows you to send invites if you are using a calendar which is hosted by MobileMe or a Mac OS X Server.
If you'd like to see this feature send feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
iOS 5 is coming out at some point: http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/.  Perhaps it will include this feature for local calendars as well.

  • Two network segment on the same switch (no vlan), possible?

Why can't 2 or more network segment work on same switch (without VLAN configuration)? It seems like switch should learn MAC addresses for each interface then work but what when I try to connnect two network segment (different network id ex.192.168.1.0 and 172.16.1.0), a lot of (or all) requests are timed out. Why? Should switch igore network id because it is layer2? I know that this might be a stupid question but I kind of confuse. Thank you

    Hi,
it should be possible, but you need a router for connectivity or maybe a small trick.
Let us assume you have a host A 192.168.1.10/24 and another host B with 172.16.1.5/24 connected to one switch (or in one VLAN, which would give the same result).
When you f.e. ping 172.16.1.5 from host A, it will first consult its internal routing table ("route print" on a MS host). As the destination address is not local it would not send any packet unless there is a default gateway, because otherwise no route to the destination is known. The same applies to host B, when you try to reach host A. So one possible solution is installing a router and setting it to be the default gateway. Example config:
    host A
    IP 192.168.1.10
    Mask 255.255.255.0
    GW 192.168.1.1
    host B
    IP 172.16.1.5
    Mask 255.255.255.0
    GW 172.16.1.1
    interface FastEthernet0
    ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
    ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0 secondary
The router will get the IP packet from host A and forward it to host B and vice versa, which results in connectivity.
Another possibility is to modify the routing tables of host A and B.
    host A
    IP 192.168.1.10
    Mask 255.255.255.0
    GW 192.168.1.10
    host A
    IP 172.16.1.5
    Mask 255.255.255.0
    GW 172.16.1.5
The small trick here is that both hosts have their own IP as default gateway. This will result in host A sending an ARP for host Bs MAC, when you execute f.e. ping 172.16.1.5
As long as those ARPs are successful - and they finally should, because the switch would deliver them being OSI layer broadcasts to all ports - connectivity should be given.
Regarding your specific network problem with timed out connection attempts, I do not know your specific configuration (hosts, router), so it is hard to tell, what is going on. If you can reveal your settings it should be possible to find a solution.
Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

  • Network Mode Switch No Longer Possible After Upgrade

Hello. I can't switch from 3G/H+ to 2G any longer. I could do this when I still had the OS 7.0 running on my Torch 9810 (AT&T). This changed after I upgraded to the OS 7.1. Now, when I go to the "Networks and Connections" option, all I see is "Manual and "Automatic"...I don't see any options to switch between 2G or 3G/H+...Even when I try switching manually to 2G (selecting 2G from the list of available networks), it still stays on 3G/H+...I have just upgraded to the latest official release: OS 7.1 Bundle 1997 (7.1.0.694 , Platform 5.1.0.507) but still, there are no changes on that. I need to have this feature because staying put on 3G/H+ means faster battery consumption and I don't want that. Please, your assistance is needed. Thanks.

  • Is it possible to switch my processor from one laptop to another

i have 2 laptops, both are toshiba's, my old laptop runs better than the one i got for christmas becuase of the processor, my new laptop runs slow becuase the processor is a single core with 1 GHz my old one is dual-core 2.00 GHz, i want to switch them, they are both AMD so i am wondering if it would be possible to switch them
    Here are the processors specs:
    Old one:
    AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-62 2.00 GHz
    New one:
    AMD C-50 Processor 1.00 GHz
so please, is it possible to switch them, and how would i go about switching them if possible.
    thanks,

It sounds like a good idea, but it is a total non-starter. Sure, both CPUs are from AMD, but they have different packaging, different voltages, different Level 2 cashe, different thermal outputs and the connectors are different too. All of the circuitry around the 1 Ghz CPU was designed to handle that speed of CPU. If it could be done, you'd overclock the existing circuitry and burn out the system board.
Unlike a desktop computer that you can put in a new system board, CPU and video board, a laptop is pretty limited on what can be done as an upgrade. Your best option would be to find a computer that has the CPU that you'd want and buy it.

  • Is it possible to convert text captions to Smart Shapes?

    Hello,
I have a collegue that is using Cp 5 to record software simulations which then need to be brought into Cp6. The problem is that our standards (for software simulations) employ Smart Shape call outs (not the Cp 5.5 and earlier text captions).
Is it possible to convert these text captions into our themed Smart Shapes either automatically inside Captivate 6 or by modifying the content within the CPTx file?
    Thank you,
    Shawn

    Hello Lilybiri,
As always you are awesome! :-)
    >I don't believe an automatic switch will be possible, because smart shapes are totally different objects.
I understand because there are a huge variety of shapes in either format. But I suspect that it should be easy to convert a text caption from any style to one specified smart shape style.
Actually, I am asking before the simulations get started. So nothing has been done yet. I am unsure what you are suggesting I should do in the preferences under Cp 5.5. Are you suggesting that there is a way to convert 'some format' of text callouts, in a Cp5.5 demonstration simulation, to Smart Shapes in Cp6?
    >but since you already have created the simulations, it has to be done manually. Hoping for you that
    >someone has a bright idea, but I do not see one immediately.
For anyone else in this situation, it would be handy to have a solution (rather than painstakingly convert each manually).
I am wondering if this might be a relatively easy search/replace within one of the xml files within the CPTx file. I'm going to look at this tonight.
    Thanks for your assist.

  • Can i use labview to capture and process images from ip cameras connected to a switch.

    Hi,
i have more then one ip cameras conneted in LAN by a switch. i have a PC conneted to same switch. is it possible to capture images from these ip cameras and process them(for example performing simple barcode scan or QR-code scan or OCR)?  Which IP cameras will be supported?

There is functionally no difference whether the camera is connected directly to the system or via a switch. Both should work the same. The only real requirement that you'd need to care about is whether the switch can pass multicast UDP traffic correctly (this is used for network discovery of IP cameras). Generally all unmanaged switches (probably what you are using) will treat multicast traffic identical to broadcast traffic, but some managed switches/routers may need to be configured to pass multicast.

  • 802.1x per host authentication under one port with multi-host access by switch

In the situation with multi-host access to one port of Cisco 2960 Lan Lite by another simple L2 switch, is it possible that we could control per user access by authentication for each?

What happens if I connect to the switch (which already has some untrusted device) a trusted device?
If I use "authentication violation protect" traffic will be blocked only by an untrusted device or all devices connected via a simple L2 switch?
I read the manual, but it is not made detailed clarity.
Please tell me the right way.
I will be very grateful for your advice!

    Hello,
In the situation with multi-host access to one port of Cisco 2960 Lan Lite by another simple L2 switch, is it possible that we could control per user access by authentication for each?
Yes, that's why multi-host mode exists
What happens if I connect to the switch (which already has some trusted devices) a untrusted device? If it's on single host the port will go into error-disabled as the violation of just one client per port has been triggered.
What happens if I connect to the switch (which already has some untrusted device) a trusted device?Same thing than before if being on single mode.
If I use "authentication violation protect" traffic will be blocked only by an untrusted device or all devices connected via a simple L2 switch?
Only for the unknown client MAC address, the trusted devices will be able to comunicate.

  • Virtual IP for two redundant PCs in Cisco Switch

    Hi Team,
We have redundant Computers connected to Switch . There is the third  system also connected to the switch.
We want the two redundant PC ethernet to look like one for the third system. We want a virtual IP for the third System to get connected to any one of the  two PC’s.
we have a Cisco Small business switch. Is that possible in this switch to create a virtual IP for redundancy ?
which cisco switch supports this functionality ??
Attached is the diagram of the setup.

    Hi,
That is not possible with just a switch.  You need some sort of load balancer in front of the switch with a virtual VIP.  So when a packet comes from SCATA to PC1 and if PC1 is not available it will send it to PC2. A10 makes pretty good load balancers.

  • Which server is connected to a switch interface

    Hi all,
We have a few switches in our company and we wanted to know an easy and quick way to find out which servers are connected to that switch (even if possible on which interface).
    For example:
    Firewall ->      Switch1 interface Gig 0/1
    Mail or 10.10.10.10 ->             Switch2 interface Gig 0/3
I'm using at this moment the following command:
    show cdp neighbors
It gives me all cisco device connected to that switch.
Is there an other command that does the same? Displaying the DNS or IP of a server that is connected to that interface of the switch.
    Kind Regards

    Hi,
    a) there are some free tools available to track the end devices.
SolarWinds User Device Tracker might be an example (not tested personally).
    b) If you want to run a CLI command, you usually need to take an opposite way: find out the device IP or MAC address and track to which switch port it's connected.
So you can list the FW ARP cache in your case.
And then to use  "trace mac ip ..." switch CLI command, e.g.

    Thanks,

Partition switching is only possible when all indexes are placed on the partition scheme. Or at least a partition scheme using the same partitioning function.
The reason for this is simple to understand. Say that you have table that is partitioned on OrderDate. Then you have an index on CustomerID which is placed on PRIMARY. Now you want to make a partition switch to get rid of the orders from Dec 2013. But if
you were permitted to this in this situation, the index on CustomerID would still have pointers to the order from Dec 2013. This may sounds benign it isn't. This query:
       SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Orders
would return different results, depending on which index the optimizer decides to use.
In your case, it is the other way round, it is the index that is partitioned, but the table that is not. That is a little, well, unusual.
But if you want to be able to do paritition switching to age out old data fast, you need all indexes to be aligned, and the table you switch with needs to have the same set of indexes. Only when this is fulfilled, you do a metadata-only operation like a
    partition switch.
