Is SWR10 still collecting data, when phone is not in range?

Just bought SWR10, but in manual can't find this very simple answer (as in title).
e.g. sometimes I can't carry phone with me at job, so then SWR10 is not in range with phone. When I come to luch or after job with phone in range, if Lifelog app I will see data (steps, calories etc)?

Location data is depended on phone GPS so it will not be logged.
Steps and calories are independend of the phone and SmartBand (as per user manual) can collect data for up to two weeks. When you connect to your phone again data will be downloaded from the band.

  • Does verizon selects collect data when using wifi ?

When signing up for verizon selects is states it collects data when using wireless service but does it collect data when using home wifi which is not verizon?

I'm not sure why one would want to participate in this program but if one is weary about it I for sure wouldn't use it.

HI, I need your help. How can I delete all data, when I do not have the special security code, which I didn´t remember ? I also think, that I never create this code before. But I cannot put my settings back.

You must remember the code, if you can't then take the phone and proof of purchase to an Apple Store.

  • HT201299 How do I use my cellular Data when I am not at home? ( at the Gym, etc)

How do I connect to My cellular Data when I am not at home, ( gym) etc?

You normally don't need to do anything special. Your iPhone should always be connected to the cell network unless you're in a building that blocks connection to your cell carrier's network, or you connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network. Are you having problems of some kind?

  • Collecting data to be compared in set ranges that would trigger the next step

We are collecting data from a pressure transducer that needs to be read by LabVIEW. The data needs to be compared to a set range (min/max) that would determine the following 2 steps: if within the range, keep collecting data OR if outside of the range, another action would occur. The following action is the control of the pump, so either the pump continues at set flow or LabVIEW tells the pump to increase/decrease flowrate. We are having trouble trying to analyze the data so that is can be compared so we know whether it is within the set range. Is it possible that LabVIEW can continously acquire data from the pressure transducer and also analyze it at the same time? Also, what is the best option/way to compare the data within the set range; an event structure, a comparator, so that the results of the comparsion can relay a signal to the pump?
Helpful links to tutorial sections would be very useful, if anything.
    Thank You!

Look at the in range and coerce function on the comparison palette.  It outputs a boolean which would drive a case structure.  If the action for out of range high and out of range low need to be different, you could do a couple of comparisons to see if the value exceeds the max or is below the minimum and act according in a case structure inside of the True case of the first case structure.

  • HT1430 How do I turn off the data when I am not in a WiFi location? I noticed that I am using data when the phone is "on" and I am not in a WiFi situation, but not on the internet. So, how do I turn off the data?

How can I turn off the LTE data when I am someplace where there is not WiFi and I do not want my LTE running up a bill? I have tracked my usage and realize that the LTE is being used even when I am not using it, just because the phone is turned on.

Merely being on should not use any data.  You must have something running - something using push notifications, or push email, prhaps?
So, you can either track down what is using the data and change it, or you could go in and disaple cellular data in your settings.
One other thing to check is
Settings -> General -> About -> Diagnostic and Usage data -> set it to "Don't Send"
Settings -> Restrictions -> Location Services -> System Services -> turn all these "OFF" (this will not affect how you use your phone at all, but will stop any outgoing location information being sent periodically back to Apple).

  • I can't join mobile internet and am being told I am out of data when I'm not?

I was hoping someone could help me. About a week ago I stopped being able to use roaming internet, sometimes the pages attempt to load for a long time before telling me there are connection problems and other times I am told that I am out of data and need to top up. I don't get why it would be either of these things as I've used the internet before in those locations and a signal is being picked up, and I just brought a new packet three days ago with 2gb of data which I've not been able to use because I can't access mobile internet and haven't come close to using the 2gb of data in any previous months. Any advice would be great, thank you.

  • How do I install apps CC thinks are there and up to date, when they're not?

I migrated to a different but hardware equivalent MacBook Pro from a Time Machine backup. For some reason many apps, including the CC apps I had installed did not migrate. The problem is that CC for Desktop thinks they're all installed and up to date. I see now way of changing this. There are no uninstallers in my /Applications/Utilities/ folder and uninstalling/re-installing CC doesn't help. Any ideas?

Adobe applications need to be installed.  Migration/traqnsfer seldom works.

  • SUS - Clients "up to date" when they are not

OS X Server 10.5.6 running on PPC is being used as Software Update Server. I have let it download everything (258 packages) to the local server.
All clients are "unmanaged." After a bunch of monkeying around I finally got my own client machine to see the server and find the 10.5.7 update.
Now trying to get the next batch of test clients to work. One is 10.4.11 PPC, another is 10.5..6 MacBook. Both indicate my server's IP address in the Software Update application title bar, but after considerable "Checking" they respond as being Up to Date, when clearly they are not.
    How I've set things up:
    Server Admin:
    - Web is on and active (only the default domain on this machine)
    - Software Update is on, port 8088, Automatically Copy is checked, Automatically enable is checked, Purge ischecked. No bandwidth limits.
    - all packages have been downloaded and are enabled
    - DNS is not enabled
    Clients:
    - I used Terminal in each client manually and executed this line:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL http://192.168.0.20:8088/index.sucatalog
While I can see maybe the 10.4 PPC system possibly being incompatible (though I have read to the contrary), I don't understand why the 10.5 MacBook wouldn't work.
I read other threads and google nuggets, but none seem to apply or help.
    Need some ideas. Thanks.

On your server, run this in Terminal.app:
    changeip -checkhostname
    It should return:
    Primary Address = 123.45.67.89
    Current HostName = server.domain.com
    DNS HostName = server.domain.com
where '123.45.67.89' is the IP address of your SUS and 'server.domain.com' is the FQDN of your SUS.
If it doesn't, then fix your DNS first. Then change the HostName in Server Admin to the FQDN of the server. Then, in Terminal.app, run:
    changeip /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 123.45.67.89 123.45.67.89 oldhostname newhostname
where '123.45.67.89' is the IP address of your SUS and 'oldhostname' is the 'old' name of the server and 'newhostname' is the FQDN of the server.
Then, on your SUS, check this file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/Preferences.plist by opening it in Property List Editor and looking for the keys:
    Root > System > ComputerName
    and
    Root > System > HostName
They should both be set to the FQDN of the machine.
Then on the clients, in Terminal.app, do (the line below may be wrapped because of length):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL http://your.SUS.com:8088/
where 'your.SUS.com' is the FQDN of your SUS.
This will set the global prefs for Software Update for all users.
Note that you do not have to include the 'index.sucatalog' as part of the URL, because if you do, Software Update will generate the URL as this: http://your.SUS.com:8088/index.sucatalog/index.sucatalog. Which of course will not point to the 'index.sucatalog' on your SUS.

  • Macintosh Clients keep saying that they are up to date when they are not!!

All My Macs keep saying that they are up to date when looking at the local SUS server. There not up to date and there are loads of updates that are downloading onto the SUS, do I have to wait for the updates to finish downloading before the cleints can get their updates?

    Hi
When inspecting the updates in the Service GUI do they have a light blue circle by the side of the update? If they don't they've not been downloaded yet.
Depending on your internet connection and bandwidth it can take up to 3 days (sometimes longer) to download them all. Once downloaded they should be available assuming everything else is configured as it should be. By this I mean, as a minimum, a correctly configured DNS Service that does not involve the use of .local for the domain suffix.

I started noticing over the last month or so, that my wife's line has been using triple the data I do.
She is not a data user as I am...
Looking at the data logs, I notice weird things like the below, usage in Megs:

What the heck is going on here?
    Can anybody help???

I am having the same problem.  Went to a Verizon store to see if someone there could help me.  While in the store another customer was in asking the same question.  We were both told by the Verizon store manager that she couldn't help us.  She told us to call Verizon to get it straightened out.  Tried to get through to Verizon on the phone and got tired of being on hold for 30 minutes.  Went online to try to "chat" with a representative and I couldn't get through to anyone that way either.  I have a shared plan with my husband and we have never gone over the 4GB.  Now it is continually sending alerts that we are going to get charged for overage.  The records show data being used all hours.  Even when we are asleep???  Hope Verizon gets this straightened out soon.

  • I was charging my phone overnight and when I woke up and removed it from the dock, the orage LED was still on and the phone would not unlock

I've tried holding down the power button, but it's completely unresponsive. The only thing indicating that there's any sort of charge is the LED at the top, but it still shows that it's charging, even when removed from the dock. I also tried plugging in the USB directly, but was faced with the same problem.

        liamarie,
We want you to be able to power your device back up. Have you tried holding down the power button and the volume down key at the same time? Let us know if this helps.

  • The time on my iphone 5C is constantly changing, regardless of me setting the correct time manually or automatically, all iOS is up to date and phone is not damaged, any ideas?

The time will stay correct for an hour or so, then jump backwards for no reason. I have tried setting the time manually and automatically and still get the same problem, and have tried with wifi on and off and it still does it. All my software is up to date and tried contacting EE who said to ask Apple. Phone is about 11 months old and have had no previous problems.

    Hi jennehbear,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Your time jumping backwards an hour sounds like an issue with the time zone. Take a look at this article to troubleshoot the issue.

  • To date when column is not always a date..

I know how to use the to_date function select to_date('1/1/2011','MM-DD-YY')
however there is a varchar column in a table we have that can have a date or string value.
I am wondering how I can do a to_date only on data that is a date?
I thought perhaps there was a way to do a case statement and if the to_date had an error then
show the data that is already there as string assuming it's not a date since it failed the to_date conversion.
I am not sure how I can accomplish that? Or if there is a better suggestion I am open to anything.
    Thanks

ThanksYou can use the suggestions given to find valid dates (it would be easier if you at least have a "standard" format for those values that are intended to be dates, however there is no way that you can display a date, and a string in the same column. Case can only return a single data type, which it takes based on the first expression:
    SQL> SELECT CASE WHEN flag = 'd'
      2                 THEN TO_DATE(str, 'dd-mon-yyyy')
      3                 ELSE str END converted

      5        SELECT 's', 'Some string' from dual);
                   ELSE str END converted
