Is the 5th Generation touch Considered 4th Generation?

I am looking to buy a 32 GB white iPod touch. On some major retail stores (such as amazon and target) they have the "White Apple iPod touch 32GB 4th Generation (current version)" -- Is it the 5th Gen, or 4th. Is the 5th just a copy of the 4th with white + costs less?
Put simply - I want a 32 GB white iPod touch 5th Generation, please give me a link to that very product from a major retailer (amazon, target, wallmart, etc.) -- also want questions above answered.

There is no 5th gen iPod Touch. The only thing that changed recently is the introduction of a white model.

Yes, there literally hundreds of video editing Apps for the iPod in the App Store if you want to edit directly on the iPod.
Alternatively, you can always download the video to your computer and edit it there with any video editor of your choice.

  • Brocken Ipod Touch screen (4th Generation)

I bought an IPod touch (4th generation) and after a really pathetic 4 days I managed to accidentally drop it and the corner of the screen cracked and it runs down to the touch screen slightly. It is still fully functional but I'm afraid the crack could increase and it just looks awful, so I was wondering how much it would cost to replace considering that it was still in the warranty. Because I recently forked out £240 on and IPod, I can afford anything too ridiculous on top of that.  Any help would really be appreciated.

A broken screen is not covered by the warranty. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store they will exchange it for no cost, especially for a new iPod.
If not Apple will exchange it for this price. Scroll to your country.

  • Restoring IPod Touch 3rd Generation Backup Onto 4th Generation Backup.

Now that I am getting a 4th Generation Touch to replace my three year and a half year old 3rd Generation Touch, I previously backed up my 3rd gen iPod which ran iOS 5.1.1. Am I able to sucessfully put this backup onto the 4th generation? And if so, will it make the 4th gen run iOS 5.1.1 or will it run iOS 6.1.6, the current iOS for that device.

When you restore an iOS device either to factry settings or from any backup, the retored iPod will have the latest iOS version for that model iPod. When you restore youyr 4G for the backup of the 3g the retored 4G will hae iOS 6.1.6

  • What is the difference in 2nd and 4th generation?

What is the difference in a 2nd generation iPod touch and a 4th generation? I want to know if it's really worth upgrading.

Definitely worth it. The iPod touch 4th gen has a front facing camera, which means it has FaceTime installed. FaceTime is an app that allows you to video call anyone else with FaceTime. Also, iOS 5, the latest operating system which brings features like iCloud and text messaging to the iPod touch, cannot be downloaded on the 2nd gen. So basically, you won't be able to update a 2nd gen anymore, and you won't be able to FaceTime. There are other perks, let me know if you would like to know more. But in my opinion, iOS 5 is reason enough to upgrade.

  • What is the difference between 1st and 4th generation wireless?

I see on my various airports there is 1st and 4th generation.  What are the differences?

For the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn):
    1st generation: 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports; non-simultaneous dual-band operation; 802.11n draft
4th generation: 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports; simultaneous dual-band operation; 802.11n final
For the 802.11n Time Capsule (TC):
    1st generation: 500 GB or 1 TB HDD, non-simultaneous dual-band operation; 802.11n draft
4th generation: 2 TB or 3 TB HDD, simultaneous dual-band operation; 802.11n final

  • Is the 5th iPod Touch worth it?

I own the 4th iTouch and i'm thinking about getting the 5th iTouch.
A few of the reasons why I want the new iTouch is because of the better processor, storage & camera. The storage is great for the starting price. I was expecting a $300 8gb iTouch. Other small things I like about it is Siri, the Panorama feature, and 3D maps.
However, it could have been BETTER. I feel there are a few things that have been left out on the new device.
-The 'improved' 5mp camera is....ok. Its not great but it works and the camera is already outdated. If the new iTouch came with an 8mp camera, it would have been an obvious YES to buy it. However, its a LOT better than using the 4th iTouch camera.
-The new screen size is good; perfect for watching movies. A sharper retina display would have been better. (if that screen technology is even out yet)
There were a lot of small improvements and a few big improvements. Everything has been updated. It might be better for the price to go down next year.
Do you think it would be better to buy it when the price goes down? or wait for the new model?

Good question! Glad you asked! I stuck with the iPod 4 for a few reasons.
-I was already satisfied with the iPod 4; It's still semi-advanced to this day. But not compatible with iOS 7
-It does pretty much everything the iPod 5 does.
-However, I tested out everything at the apple store and boy are they fast!!! (iPad and iTouch)
-I really want something new, but not until there's a significant change between the iPod 4 and...whatever comes out next.
-One more thing, I dropped my iPod 4 face first on tile last week. And yes, the whole screen is shattered So I'm definately buying either the next iPad or the next iTouch in fall 2014. New stuff always comes out in the fall.
-Oh, and my brother bought the iPhone 5s and its incredibly fast. Like some future alien technology compared to my iPod 4.
I think I made a good decision to stay with the iTouch 4.
