Is the antenna going to improve on the iPhones ?
I have four iPhones starting with the 3GS to the 5 all have poor reception from AT&T. I'm a contractor and love the iPhone but I need a better antenna for it. I realize the market for smartphones is not suited for this request but a huge market is out there for it. The bars keep dropping as the data packages increase (3G to 4G to LTE) but if I can't get a better antenna for outside metro areas I'll need to switch phones. I DON'T WANT TO but business dictates. Please help.

Hi, I read a lot of tech news on Engadget and online and I don't really remember where I recently saw that Apple was going to give us iPhone 4S owners a $15.00 gift card or a free bumper because of the signal or antenna issues that the phone has, can anyone verify this? Does anyone know when Apple is going to fix the bug with transfering voice memos from the IPhone 4 to itunes on a computer. I waisted a lot of time trying to figure out why it was not working. Then I read some comments about other people having the same issues.

the iphone goes from recovery mode to some other mode where it keeps restarting with apple logo flashing on the screen continuously. and there is no error in itunes at all which stays in "waiting for iphone" status

I performed an iOS 7 software update on my iPhone yesterday, and now the phone is not working at all. The iPhone screen shows to connect to iTunes to restore. I've have done this, and still the iPhone is not working. What going on?
I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -

If the receipt says "unlocked" (and not "SIM free") then it will work anywhere in the world that there is a GSM network. However, if it ever needs repair you will have to take it back to France.

My iPad (3rd Gen) seems to stop charging if it is plugged into my MBP if either the iPad is closed or if the MBP goes to sleep. My iPhone charges whether the MBP is awake or asleep or even if the MBP is closed. There is a screen display that shows the iPhone is charging. The iPad only has the tiny icon at the top of the screen that show it is charging. However, the battery's % charged does not increase if the lid is closed when I am charging the iPad if the lid is closed on the iPad or if the iPad off after pressing the on off button. Is this normal?
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. I'm going to another country for a year and I would like to unlock my phone to take another sim other than my carrier. My contract with my present carrier is finished yet they still wouldnt unlock the iphone 4 for me. How can I be able to unlock it?t
Only the carrier to whom the device is locked can unlock it.
If you do not meet their requirements or they do not offer unlocking there is no official way to unlock the device.

I attempted to update my iPhone 4 from ioS 5 to ioS 6 from iTunes on my laptop using Windows 7 OS, I had downloaded the new ioS 6 and started the update on the iPhone 4 and everything seemed to be going routine until the phone had been going thought what I though was the update process, when an error window opened up and it said that an error had occured and the iPhone 4 could not be updated. I have never had a problem like this before and it caught me off guard and I did not note all the information in the error window, but it did not appear to indicate anything other than that I would have to abort the update and did not think it would be that big of a problem. I tried to disconnect the phone and was going to do the update at a different time when I could investigate what the problem was. However I could not get iTunes to recognize the iPhone 4 after this and still cannot. After rebooting the laptop a few times and also trying to reset the phone a few times as well, I just have a dead phone. The iPhone 4 just has the image of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon for iTunes. I have tried to get iTunes to recognize the iPhone, but cannot get it to. I am unable to do anything else with the phone. It seems like the phone is in a state where it does not have enough software loaded to do anything or I don’t know how to get it to. Any suggestions how I can get my iPhone 4 back into service. Note: iTunes still recognizes my iPad and iPods, so iTunes seems to be okay to me. Craig
I had this problem on my iPod Touch 4g. Just press the home and sleep button. Wait and it will give an iTunes and cable logo. Now you can put in DFU mode (Hold Sleep and Home button 10 seconds and then release the power button kand keep pressing on the home button.) Now you will be able to restore it in iTunes.

Just wondering when this was going to happen. My wife is due for an upgrade and I'd like t wait and get the iPhone 4 for free rather than paying 100 bucks right now and extend the contract for two more years.

While upgrading my iPhone 3GS to iOS 4.2 something went wrong and came up with the message "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred [1015]." Now it will not start at all. It just stays on screen with USB and the iTune picture. What can I do to get it going again. I only tried to upgrade because I was prompted to up-grade and now I am helpless. I did a backup before starting the upgrade. The error message did not tell what to do next. Any help is very much appreciated.
Usually that means the iPhone was hacked to unlock it from the original
carrier .
Updating the operating system locks it back to that original carrier

i tried to up date my i phone 4 to iOS 5 then it wiped my phone and now it tells me to connect to iTunes and that the iPhone is in recovery mode and when i connect it goes to preparing to install to iPhone but never goes any further how do i restore the phone
by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update. -
I switched from an iPhone to an LG g2, but now all my iMessages keep going to my old iPhone rather than the new one. I know the resolution to the problem is to turn off my iMessage, but I no longer have the iPhone because I sold it to the phone carrier.
