Is the App Store broken? More than usual, I mean.

I noticed last night that according to my iTunes, there had been no new applications or application updates in the iTunes App Store all day. It's still that way this morning - not even any changes to the various featured/recommended applications advertised on the App Store home page.
Also as of this morning, clicking "Check For Updates" on the Applications page in iTunes causes a brief flicker of progress bar but that's all - no pop-up to advise me that I either do or do not have updates available.
Now, given the way application updates wipe out data and cause the iPhone to go into permanent "broken-apple-logo" mode requiring a time consuming restore, this is not necessarily a bad thing. But I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing the same thing?

The "iTunes is temporarily unavailable" is nothing new, I've had this message many times in the past. It's probably because there's something happening at the other end. If you keep checking, you should eventually be able to get through to the store. As to the no updates, perhaps there just aren't any updates available. I've got a long list of apps already but I don't get updates for them every day.

Can't login to App Store on more than one device

Since resetting my Apple ID password I now cannot fully login to get downloads for apps etc in the App Store. I have to revert to downloading on my PC they syncing, very frustrated with this one, I've tried everything including doing a full power down and restarting, resetting my password again, checking the time is correct, all the crap that the apple cust services suggested. Absolutely drained with it all!
both are running latest ios
on the phone I tap settings/itunes & App Store /Apple ID sign out, then tap password to sign in, so far so good.
GOto to the App Store and tap any free app, click install and then all I get is the blue spinning circle

when I do the above on my iPad it's slightly different
tap settings/itunes & App Store. I don't have the option to sign out because it never is signed n. I tap the password and enter it, tap the sign in and the sign in text goes from blue to grey, then back to blue. That's all it does, keep tapping away at sign in but it won't.
Apple customer services are taking me on a long circular journey of despair and quite frankly they hadn't got a clue how to understand my issue nor resolve it.

trying to log in to itunes on either computer I get a 1008 error message.
on machine runs sophos antivirus, the other avast. disabling antivirus has no effect.
no 3rd party firewall is running.
repair disk permissions had no effect.
removing ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes* and com.apple.mobile.iTunes.store.plist* had no effect.
changed computer name in Computer sharing, no effect.
any ideas?
got the 10.8 update from the app store when it came out though i hadn't applied it, catch 22 prevents me from updating the system to see if that helps.

Iphone5 - Downloading application from app store takes more than 24 hours to download and install, even if the memory size of app is very small about 2 MB. WIFI connection seems to works well - because the webpages browsing using safari is very fast.

I face problem with downloading application from apple store.
It took more than 5 hours to install google maps application and many other application took more than 24 hours.
It is very worst to see such downloading performace with my new bought iphone5.
My WIFI connections seems to be very good. As I can able to open many webpages at very high speed.
I can able to see my many HD videos open and play immediately once I touch.
Though i cannot able to test the speed, as the www.speedtest.net also not working in my iphone5.
When i launch speedtest.net app i get the message "Finding closest server" forever and it is never showing the speed details.
My laptop shows the 10Mbps speed with speedtest.net on the same WIFI network

Not showing up on App Store with more than 200k downloads in last three days?

My app Flying Bieber HD has gotten more than 200k downloads since our launch on Saturday, but we are not showing up on App Store ranks at all. We got so many downloads through social media promotions and we got Bieber's entourage to promote it. Are we too new to show up in there? When will we be up there?

ITunes 8 keeps closing whenever i open the iTunes Store for more than 5 min

Whenever i access the itunes store after 5 min. it crashes or something and the images get distorted, sometimes it happens immediately i open the itunes store, then i can't access anything in itunes; which results to me closing itunes and restarting it and yet again the same thing happens when i go to the store.

How do I set up the app FindMyiPhone on more than one phone when all phones have the same Apple ID?

You could look at using a template. Create your master template, create editable and non-editable regions, then use this template create all the child pages. IPad Air is shipped later than announcement on the Apple Store Website (more than 24 hrs) and there is effect my holiday plan

I plan to go to my native place on 10/04/2014 and I would like to buy the iPad Air for my mother.
I accessed to Apple Store Thailand and found that there are announce on the website as "Shipping within 24 hrs".
So I decided to place the order for iPad Air on 2/04/2014 at the night (Thailand Time)
after all process was completed there are mentioned the Delivery Date is 10/04/2014
but in the today evening 4/04/2014 the process is just changed from "Preparing for shipment" to "Shipped"
and the Delivery Date is postponed from 10/04/2014 to 11/04/2014.
So the main point is I am plainning to take the iPad Air to my mother and I will leave from the place that I mentioned for deliver the iPad Air.
How can I do for received your product before 11/04/2014?

IPhone 4 battery draining more than usual? Maybe because of 6.1.3?

Hey, I have noticed that ever since I have updated to my iPhone 4 to iOS 6.1.3 the battery has drained more than usual. My battery drains about 1% per minute. Sometimes it drains even when I'm not using the phone? Is there any solution to fix this problem? I would REALLY appreciate it!

The battery drains on every phone when not being actively used. There are processes going on in the background such as an email account or accounts being checked for new messages depending on your Fetch setting for email. Depending on the cellular reception at the time, more battery will be used when reception is lower regardless if any calls are being placed or received. If you have any push notifications enabled, those are being received. when not actively using the phone.
Have you changed anything such as screen brightness?
Are you accessing an Exchange account with your iPhone?
Any change after powering the iPhone off and on and/or after a reset which is similar to a computer restart?

"Unknown Error" in the App Store on my iMac.

I get an "Unknown Error" when trying to purchase an app in the App Store on my iMac. I do not get this error in iTunes on the same Mac and using the same username/password or in the App Store on my iPad. Very frustrating. I've read some other threads and tried to delete the networkinterface.plist thing, but that didn't work either.

Google Earth is made by Google and they choose not to distribute their app that way. The App Store is convenient but by no means compulsory for developers.

Now only the problem...
I'm no newb to technology so I'll do what I can to explain this. It's an intermittent and unusual issue, basically, and what happens is that for most of the day the app store looks like a broken web page (like CSS and images aren't loading), and I can only access it normally every now and then. But here's where it gets weird.
The PC iTunes is fine (both web and application) and loads images, behaves normally, and so on. No issues there. All sites are accessible, and I have no trouble reaching Apple servers (I've run latency checks).
What I've also tried:
- Rebooting my router (multiple times).
- Closing all apps on the iPad (including the store) then trying the app store (as the only app open).
- Rebooting the iPad, then trying again.
- Signing out of the store, rebooting the iPad, and signing in before trying again.
- Doing the above step but with all apps closed first.
- Browsing on the iPad (via Maven and Safari), both are fine. No weird Internet issues.
What boggles the mind is that the PC iTunes and web version of the app store works. I mean, if I go to the web app store and look at the page for a game, I get images of the game. If I use my iPad, I get the border of the image with a [?] icon in it. (As I said, it looks like a broken web page where CSS and images just aren't loading.)
Sometimes, but more rarely, I'll have trouble connecting to the store.
And occasionally (but even more rarely) it behaves just fine.
If it wasn't for the intermittent nature of it I'd be convinced that I'd somehow corrupted the app store on the iPad somehow. But the more I think about it the more I wonder if this is my ISP somehow being ridiculous despite the web/PC application working. And currently I'm really at a loss. It's worse because when I want to sit down and browse the app store to buy some things, I can't. So this is stopping me from giving Apple money.
It might just be my ISP though. My ISP is Surfwise, if it helps. As I said, no other Internet issues at all.

This error means that your hard drive is badly corrupt and cannot be repaired by Disk Utility. Since you say you don't have backups, this is very bad news. You may already have lost data irrevocably.
First order of business needs to be backing up whatever you can, but this may be difficult to do if the machine won't start up any more. See step 1 of the following post:
