Is the Apple touch ID disabled on IPhone 6 ? Was working before, now it won't work.

Question

Was wondering if Apple disabled the touch ID.It was working before on my I phone 6, not it no longer works. I rebooted my phone and updated to the latest IOS but still not working.

I'm glad you got things sorted out, but I wanted to make a quick comment on the link you provided, in case someone else found this thread via Google.
The link you provided was for a generic story written in Sept. 2013, over a year ago. If you read the article, it talked about the beginning of the fingerprint technology and the fact that Apple was using technology over and above what most fingerprint readers were using. It also said that something could happen, but does not indicate any evidence that it has. The only evidence it cites is a Mythbusters show where they try it on a fingerprint scanner, not a iPhone, so the comment that Apple was having security risks is a conjecture on your part. Understand, I'm not trying to chastise you, just to let others know that this really isn't a problem where Apple has made a decision to disable the technology based on this article. The article does say that Apple is using a better technology than most in developing their fingerprint scanner. So the statement that Apple was having security issues is not true.
