Nothing. The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life. If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod.

As far as I know, Sony Ericsson Z520, like a lot of the other cell phones, doesn�t support bluetooth serial communication.

If you ask me, we have done similar project.
We are working on hobby project � our robot use J2ME cell phone as on-board brain.
And there is connection between this small robot and Linux-based PC.
Communication was done via BlueTooth (in reality we use Linux implementation of BlueTooth stack and obexftp).
BUT (!) We use Siemens S75 for this communication.
I�m afraid that Siemens is the only manufacture, which implemented serial communication over bluetooth, embedded camera and non-usb socket.
Also there are some Motorola phones, which implement serial communication over bluetooth.
But � note that all Motorola phones use USB sockets and it will not be easy for you to make connection between such a phone and the robot.
If you need just connection between cell phone and PC, then may be USB is OK too.

Apple provides no downgrade path for the iOS. You need to check your setting and do some troubleshooting (do a search of this forum for suggestions). I have an iPhone 4, and I am running iOS 7.1.1 with no issues.

Ios 6 is not available for all iphones. Original Iphone and iphone 3 are not supported.

This is common for most any device/computer. Not all iphone/computer/device models can handle all of the new features. Like any device, hardware is limited and cannot always support all new features and software.

i have had apple tv since last april and i could play films from dvd player from mac book but for some reason this has stopped working from dvd player when i put the dvd player on apple tv i get a black and white screen i can hear the film but i cannot see it, i went to my local store and they but vlc on for me but its terrible the film always jumps every time.

This is supposed to happen, licensing issue mean that Apple can't AirPlay protected content to other devices. You might try VLC instead of Apples built in DVD player.

I am putting an email on my ipod for people to contact me for iMessage and FaceTime but when I put the email in, it gives me an error saying that the email cannot be veirified because it is already in use. I just my two phones to act as two separate entities and not being linked together and I don't want to create 2 apple IDs. one is for work and the other private, I don't want my private phone to get work related material and vise et versa.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
