Is the BPM Counter Plugin ever going to work?

I just tried it again in version 8.0.1 and it still doesn't give me a tempo. I do a lot of two track stuff that I have to find the tempo and it's a very important plugin for me!

it only works for me on drum loops or very beat driven audio. it did work better in 7

Downloaded Mt Lion. Now my facetime launches then quits with message that there is a problem with the C_L Kernel Plugin. Everything else works just fine. I can get on line etc.

I have have an early 2008 imac 8,1 It has been a good machine no problems. UNTIL we downloaded Mt Lion. We can no longer use facetime. We click on the icon it comes up, tries to connect then it disappears with the message that there was a problem with the C_L Kernel Plugin. We can go on line without difficulty, everything else seems to be working. Searching the internet shows that others have had the same problem with Mt Lion. But so far I haven't found a solution. We have wiped the drive reloaded snow leopard then downloaded Mt Lion again. We put in a NEW hard drive and reloaded snow leopard then Mt Lion. We have changed out ram using apple ram. But we still get the same result. Everything works except for Facetime. Is there some patch we have missed? Facetime DOES work on our ipads without a hitch so I doubt it's the internet connection. We've tried the imac both wirelessly as the ipads run and hardwired and get no where fast. So any help at all would be appreciated. We live in the boonies, the nearest mac repair is over 150 miles away so this is pretty nuch a do it myself affair. We know the machine is old by most standards today. But we pretty much run our machines until they can't power up. So we'd like to get this one back on its perch so to speak with its face time working.

Is the Burning Speed Issue Ever Going To Be Fixed?

Used to burn a CD in 3 minutes, now 18-20 minutes. Like a lot of people, it will now only burn at 4X speed. Have seen a lot of posts on this, but never a response on what is going on. Don't have the burner or music on external, so it eliminates that issue. Somehow something forces the speed down, and I have tried all kinds of different cd's and they all behave the same. Has anyone been able to pinpoint or fix this problem?

The difference between USB 2 and USB 3 is mainly one of supported data transfer rates, the basics of the protocol (identifying devices, bus arbitration, etc) are the same. The differences don't impact a keyboard at all, since the fastest data rate a keyboard is capable of generating under normal use (~150 words per minute by a phenomenally skilled typist) is many orders of magnitude slower than the average USB data transfer rate - probably quite literally a million times slower.
Most keyboards actually negotiate the port they are using down to USB 1.1 mode, as they make best use of that particular data transfer scenario (less data more often with less latency on the initial packet of a transfer).
Generally, when people ask about a keyboard being "updated" to USB 3, they mean they want the additional USB ports on the keyboard to support USB 3, not that teh keyboard itself use USB 3.
In any case, your situation sounds more like a bad keyboard to me...have you tried using a different Apple Extended Keyboard with the iMac?

Hello, I have contacted apple customer care and they said - wait for it! " FaceTime does not work anymore on io6 because you are trying to connect to a device that uses ios7 at the other end " . I said , no, I was using FaceTime with afriend of mine in the USA that has a DESK MAC !!! oh, ok, then, they replied, but you steen need to upgrade, becaus e Facetime uses very different protocols compared to ios6. funny... it didn't a week - 10 days ago??? not a such a clever ideea to force people to upgarde, I can see loads of lawsuits coming apple way.... and lots of customers switching to Skype and NOT buying anymore apple products... mmmh?

Right click print function quit working when I updated to Firefox 4

Firefox has never had a right-click Print menu item by default. If you had that with an earlier version of Firefox, it was added by an extension that you installed and isn't 4.0 compatible right now.

That extension also allows you to edit what is going to be printed, so you can get rid of advertisements, empty multimedia boxes (Firefox won't print Flash or WMP content), and other stuff you don't want on the printed page, to save ink and paper.
That may not be suitable to you as a replacement extension for what you had been using before, but I never print anything from Firefox before using Print Preview. I am tired of wasting ink and paper with Firefox not being able to correctly print web pages that every other web browser can print correctly. If the Print Preview doesn't look correct, I open that page in IE8, Opera11, or Safari 5.0.1 - all of which will print it correctly 99.9% of the time.

Audigy 4 and windows 7 x64 ever going to work together?

?for 2 weeks i've tried every combo of drivers. and bios updates for my mainboard.
Can i get my once so reliable audigy 4 card to work on windows 7 ? No.
my mainboard is asus p5kpl-am. disbaled on board sound and no joy.
I had trouble even in windows 7 finding the audigy card before i had to do a full REinstall to my annoyance!! of course It found it then. But it never worked with the latest drivers. get no sound out put and worse it crashed my system and wouldnt repair. so had to revert back to onbaord sound and reinstall again.
the card is fine i know this as i have chekd in otehr systems on XP. but is anyone else having similar probs with a similar system as me?
And yes I have 4gb Ram, why should this make a difference. and i have tried it with 2gb. No joy!!
Please help creative and shed any light on this issue . If i RMA my card will gjust get a new or refurbished Audigy4?

Is two-finger swiping on Magic Mouse ever going to work in Boot Camp?

I recently installed Boot Camp w/Windows 7 Enterprise (64-bit) on my Macbook Pro. Everything works great, except two-finger swiping on the Magic Mouse in Firefox 4.
Do you think that Apple will address this in the future, or is this a Windows limitation with no solution? The Magic Mouse is pretty sweet, but I got used to using two-finger swiping, and it's driving me nuts not having it.

If you have not made any disk partition changes or resized windows or used OSX Disk Utility after Windows was installed, you are in a relatively safer position. I would highly recommend backups of both OSX and Windows with the ability to rollback, before you attempt the upgrade.

Ipod 30g with os 9 ever going to work?

So I plugged in my video ipod to my pc at home and it was slow but worked. Now I want to get all the songs from my mac at work onto the ipod. I am running os 9, with itunes 2.0.4 not recognizing it. There is no icon on the desktop either. I have done countless downloading and haven't gotten anywhere. any suggestions?

How can I make the fittext.js plugin work?

I'm a newbie on Edge, so please bear with me.
I've been trying to make the fittext.js plugin (http://fittextjs.com/) work on my project but is not doing anything in preview.
This is what I have on my Stage on creation complete:

I have my text elements as h1. I tried doing it with ids ( $("#title").fitText(); ) instead and I still get no result.

BPM in iTunes - How Does It Work?

Hey people,
i was wondering if anyone could help me with the BPM Function on itunes.
i have it in the bar at the top, but how do i get it to read the bpm of all my songs? do i need to play all the songs all the way through? (9000+ tracks will take a long time!)

Hm, I just checked my files in iTunes (116 GB)
And aprox 95% of them have the BPM value. Wow.
I noticed that the iTunes store bought DRM protected 128kbps .aac files - did not have it.
I've applied iVolume on all of the files. Maybe it is that program that have calculated the BPM?, cause it didn't work on the DRM protected iTunes files.

ITunes is putting strange numbers in the BPM & play count

I've noticed that iTunes has been putting odd values in the BPM and play count fields. They almost always seem to be some multiple of 64. I found a bunch of songs with 256 or 512 play counts added to them. I have also had iTunes put 192 in the BPM for all the songs on 4 different CDs. I think it happens when I update my iPod. Both iTunes and the iPod Video are up to date. Any ideas? I plan on taking the time to complete the BPM field and i don't want iTunes messing it up.

I've been having a similar problem with the iTunes play count. Instead of 256 or 512 or anything like that, though, it says I've played Stormbringer (by Deep Purple) -1090303414 times. I don't know what's going on.

One of the main reasons for excluding flash on iOS devices is due to the amount of processing power and therefore battery power required to run the plugin.
The Adobe flash plugin is power hungry, inefficient and problematic.
We're now beginning to see HTML5 develop but it will take time for it to rival flash. The means to show movies on websites without using flash, or using fallback, are there for us to use but a lot of webmasters seem to ignore or be ignorant of these.
