For recording video , the 720P HD video camera at the back is amazing quality when their is enough lighting. You would be pretty amazing what a little device such as the iPod Touch can do.

Camera works, with the side buttons it takes pictures.
Although I'm not able to see on the screen.

First try a restore from backup
If problem still occurs try a restore to factory defaults/new Pod.
If still occurs likely a hardware problem and an appoitment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can't use the camera function in my ipod touch 4s while updated to iOS 6.0

I can't use the camera function in my ipod touch 4s while updated to iOS 6.0.
There is all black screen when I turn on my camera.
I open the restriction setting already.
    thank you.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • New iPod Touch Sound Quality

I am really interested in comparisons of sound quality between the various generations of iPod.
Unquestionably, compression method and headphones play a critical factor, but taking these aside, I would be interested in people’s comments on particularly the 2nd Generation iPod Touch, and if anybody is aware of any technical analysis to compliment their listening views.
Has the sound quality changed over this last year with new software releases for the iPod touch in general?
I am aware of Mark Heijliger’s excellent analysis up to the 6G iPod at http://homepage.mac.com/marc.heijlig...surements.html, and was wondering if anybody was aware of a similar analysis for the iPod Touchs.
Finally (sorry!), with the new 120GB iPod Classic, does this have the same Cirrus Logic audio codec chip as the older 80GB and 160GB versions. I.e. can I presume that the sound quality (which has been questioned by a number of posters on this forum) is going to be the same?

Well I don't have time to experiment in detail with and document technical analyses about the device but I will say that I did briefly compare it to the 2nd generation Nano as well as my home stereo using the same files (a couple of 256kbit AAC files ripped by myself in iTunes 8; one rock and one hip hop) several times and I enjoyed the resulting similarity throughout the various sources.
I'm quite content with the sound quality coming from this device... and I'm pretty anal about these things generally.

  • New iPod Touch, audio quality really noisy.

I just recently purchased an iPod Touch 4th generation in white on Boxing Day. So far, I'm enjoying my product, however when I try to listen to music through any earbuds the quality of the audio becomes distorted and noisy. I've tried the earbuds on other devices and the audio quality was also poor. I've tried using different earbuds with the iPod and the quality remains poor. I think there has been a manufacturer flaw in the product.
Do I return to the store in which I purchased the iPod and demande for an exhange? And if I do, would it be exchanged at none of my expense?
    Thank you in advance.

  • All the apps on my new iPod touch 5 are messed up.

On Instagram I can't post videos or pictures and it keeps telling me that all the posts are from 2h ago but when I look on my phone it says 1sec.It is doing this with Twitter and Vine app. I just got this iPod for my birthday so it's strange that my apps would be doing this. I have shut down my iPod multiple times and uninstalled the apps and turned off and on the wifi and nothing worked. I thought it was just an app problem but since it's happening with all of the apps I'm thinking it's my iPod can anyone help?

  • My new earpods that came with my new iPod Touch 5 does not plug in?

My NEW earpods do not plug in all the way! There is static when I plug it in! It won't let menplug it in all the way no matter how hard I pushed. When I plug it in (as far as it goes) all I hear is static! And then it stops. But sometimes it works but then the sound starts to go out from the speakers.

Definitely sounds like a hardware problem, probably with the jack.  Set up an appontment at the the Genius bar of the Apple Store.

  • How do I keep the music from my old 1st gen mini and put it on my new ipod touch without loosing it. the computer I used to load the mini was stolen quite some time ago????

How do I keep my music from my old 1st gen ipod mini when the computer that I originally loaded it with was stolen more than 5 years ago and transfer all the music onto my new ipod touch? My fear has always been that plugging my mini into another computer and attempting to download more music onto it or take what's on there off will end up erasing all of it because of file sharing regs. I would really prefer not to have to repurchase several hundred dollars of music as many of the original cd's that I used to download have been either lost or damaged over the years. Is there anything I can do????

  • Old Computer - New iPod Touch

I'm considering the purchase of a new iPod Touch. The Apple Store website says I need a Mac with a USB 2 port. Does this have to be a factory installed port? Specifically can I connect the iPod Touch to either of these:
    1. G4 DP 800 QuickSilver Mac with USB 2.0 PCI card installed running OS X 10.4.11.
    2. G3 Pismo Laptop (Firewire ports) with PC USB 2.0 card in the slot. The Pismo is running OS X 10.4.11.
    Thanks for your help.
    Ralph

I have connected a number of ipods to a 733 Mhz Quicksilver G4 Tower with an aftermarket USB2 PCI card - no problems. The last time I tried it also worked on the native USB 1 ports as well, just very slow when syncing large amounts of data.

  • Transferring songs from older IPOD to new IPOd Touch

I have an IPOd Mini and I want to transfer the songs to my new IPOd Touch. Any idea of how to accomplish this?
    Thanks

You can't transfer content directly from your Mini to the Touch, if the songs aren't in iTunes on your computer you'll have to copy them back and load the Touch from there. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
