Is the canon eos rebel t3i compatible with Mac osx 10.9.1?

Is the canon eos rebel t3i compatible with Mac osx 10.9.1?
I am trying to transfer my photos from my camera to my Mac.
I have downloaded the software for the camera to my Mac BUT it cannot transfer the photos.
EOS Utility states that it cannot be used with this version of the operating system.
I am running on OSX 10.9.1
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I would try uninstalling the canon software and then just plug your camera into your Mac. iPhoto should be all the software you should need.

The editor will work, pretty much, although you can't easily update the camera raw plug-in. The organizer will not even open.

What are some of the best & compact fax/printers compatible with Mac?

Most any All In One printer/fax/copy will work with a Mac running OS X.
The best thing you can do is pick one out based on cost and features then check whether there are drivers for it or if it is AirPrint compatible.

You need Snow Leopard at least.

  • Is Adobe CS4 compatible with Mac OSX Maverick?

    Hello,
Is Adobe CS4 compatible with Mac OSX Maverick?
    Thk

I just upgraded my OS to Mavericks X, and my previously installed Photoshop CS4 failed to run when I tried to launch it.
I even downloaded a brand new version from a link here that was in a "Mavericks X" column, giving me SOME confidence that it might just function on the new OS.
So far, I've been down 3 days since upgrading my OS. I cannot get Photoshop CS4 to run, no matter what I've tried!
Yes, I've uninstalled the prior version before installing the new one. I entered all of my serial number and registration information, and still NOTHING! Bridge appears to work fine, but Photoshop CS4 is just one big crater right now!
I'd like to just talk with a human at Adobe on the phone for a few minutes, which should be all that's needed to get it resolved, but they do NOT offer phone support for Photoshop products!!! And, I'm unable to locate how to even become a "Premium Member" (paid) that will allegedly provide phone support!
    HELP!
    Bob

  • Canon EOS Rebel T3i 600D Video Problem

    hello there!
I've been using my DSLR for about a month ago, and I love that it shoots full HD 1080p in 24 frames per second which commonly used for film-making. My Question is, when I browse videos on my computer (.mov files), it's resolution is always 1920x1088. So, it's not exactly in 1080 in height, is this fine? or others do have situation like this? And lastly, if I upload a video on Youtube, does the quality of the video will be remained? Thanks

    Hello francoambatali,
The video recorded by the EOS Rebel T3i is 1920 x 1080, so I am unsure where you see it listed as being different than that.  From what you describe, your saying it has an extra 8 pixels on the vertical side, which makes it over HD if nothing else.  But again, we do not think what you are seeing is accurate, instead the program is probably reading the specifications incorrectly.  It will not harm the integrity of the video though.
If you upload a video to Youtube, the quality undoubtedly will be compressed as a result of being uploaded.  Youtube's compression methods are not determined by Canon, so we can't say for certain how much of a quality loss there will be, but it will undoubtedly be lower quality than the original source file.

  • Is the camcorder JVC GZ-EX210 compatible with mac and imovie?

Is the camcorder JVC GZ-EX210 compatible with iMovie?

I should add, my answer above is for "intermediate" or editing codecs. These are high quality codecs that preserve as much quality as possible in the editing process. Once you have finished editing, you would convert (or compress) to a delivery codec. THe intermediate codecs are too large to stream over the internet, or to play on your iphone, so you would convert.
The best codec for this purpose is h.264, which provides a really good quality at a relatively low data rate, This means good quality with a relatively small file.
h,264 is a subset of the MPEG4 standard.
A h.264 movie can live in a MOV container, an MP4 container, a M4V container, and perhaps others, like AVI.
By default, iMovie creates h.264 files in the m4v container for LARGE and smaller. For 720P and 1080P. it creates h.264 in a MV container.
You can tweek the defaults by SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME
