is the Charge missing a hole for cell phone straps? (yes, as in Hello Kitty cell phone straps)
my previous phone, the Fascinate, had a hole for this purpose, but for some reason I cannot
find it on the Charge.
The VZW rep told me that the Charge is a phone made for Americans in the US market, so
Samsung left out the hole.... seriously?

If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).

I have a Macbook 2.1 that runs 10.5.8. I cannot get it to start on battery power. It will run for over an hour on the battery, if you start it with the charger, but even then it shows a 0% charge! I've tried pulling the battery out while it's booted, pulling battery out and discharging the system by holding the power switch, nothing seems to make it work. any ideas? It has all the updates Apple offers, too.

Try resetting the SMC
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Your credit card is only linked to one iTunes account, and you've checked the purchase history on it via your computer's iTunes as per the page that you posted from ? And you don't have iTunes Match or any auto-renewing subscriptions (I'm not sure if they show on the purchase history or not, I don't have any so I can't check) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
And you haven't added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? Each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so. If you can't find anything on your account's purchase history then you should probably contact your card issuer and get the card cancelled and replaced. Want to reorganize/customize the name of "directories" options for 79XX phones

Is ther any options to modify when press the directories button. I am trying to change the order the missed call, received call, etc, also rename the directories options too.

This is fairly easy to do. Note that this will only work on the 79xx phones. The other phones all handle missed/placed/received calls differently. (There's no commonality at all across the range with this. Thanks Cisco. Grrr...)
You'll need a webserver which the phones can talk to.
Create a file on your webserver called,say, directories.xml (It must be an XML file) In it place:

This will give you a basic directories list which I hope you can work out how to change.
Then, go to ccmadmin -> System -> Enterprise Parameters (or for testing, you can set this on a device) and set the URL for the "URL Directories" (& Secure Directories) to the above XML on your webserver. e.g.
http://SERVER.example.com/directories.xml
If you want to be advanced, you can then use a script to dynamically generate the XML and customise it per phone. The phones add the URL parameter "name=XXX" where XXX is the phone's device name. e.g. SEP112233445566.

I spoke with Microsoft Customer service, and the agent specifically said MS already pushed Cyan to Verizon, and he, as a WP owner on Verizon, was also frustrated that the updates haven't been rolled out by VZW.

Unfortunately the answer is unknown. The majority of the Windows phone threads here are about this exact subject, and that says a lot about Verizon and their ability to communicate on a basic level. You might get your update, you may not. Verizon is in control and doesn't really care.

Yes. However, the output of the iPad's wall charger may be a little less than what it would be if it were an actual iPod wall charger, so it may charge a little bit slower. I'm not 100% positive though.

My ipod 4th generation has been uncharged for almost 2 months...I plugged it in the charger and now a black screen appears with a yellow horizontal line at the top and 4 yellowish greenish spots at the corners of the screen.Battery trouble?

So the ipod has been working working fine. I left it for almost 2 months and when i charge it again this is what i see!! It has not been dropped!! The Ipod still works ...when i connect it to itunes it responds normally. Also the ipod produces the charging sound and sounds for notifications!! i tried guessing where "slide to unlock" is so that maybe the touch screen still responds but yet it was useless!! what might be the problem!!

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Newbie question -- charging cable same as for ITouch ??

I bet this is a no brainer --- but: Is the charging (and Sync) cable the same for the iPhone 4 as for the old iTouch Ipod ??
Also, is the charger that I use for my old iTouch the same as for the new iPhone 4, e.g. can i use it as well as the charger socket that came with the phone??
On the other hand -- I have had NO, I mean zero, problems with my iPhone 4 ... no dropped calls, no death grip, no proximity detector problems, no yellow spot on the screen... Mark me down as a very satisfied customer.

But -- both iPhone and iTouch chargers really just USB connections and therefore equivalent makes sense..

Yes. So that the size of the internal iPhone components can be reduced, and so that the new iPod nano could be made smaller, and so that the plug can be inserted either way up, and so that all the latest announced products share the same connector (and therefore chargers).
This is the first time in a decade Apple have changed the connector.
How many different chargers would you have had if you had purchased devices by Samsung, Nokia, LG. Motorola etc. etc.
