Is the charger/sync cord covered under verizon warranty?

Had some problems, i dont have the money to buy even a cheap one, and my phone has died. i have a kitten who likes to chew on cords, he chewed on this one, but it kept working until a few days ago even after it had been chewed on and been that way for quite some time (about 2 or 3 weeks now), but it just stopped charging the other day (about 5 mins after i plugged it in to charge). I know it's pulling some sort of electricity because the charger still gets hot, even tho the phone isn't being charged, so i guess it ended up not making a connection anymore. (the charger has always gotten hot so hot that if it's in for a full charge from dieing on me, that i can't touch the charger without unplugging the iphone, and waiting for it to cool down, it gets extremely burning hot. but no sparks or anything so i just assume(d) that was/is normal. but that's how i know it's getting some current of electricity because the charger part is still getting warm to the touch, but the phone isn't getting anything on the recieving end.
(another question, i've search a lot, and found answers for this, but all were "no" and a few ended up stating things as facts as to why it was a "no" but their facts weren't facts at all...
can i use my ipod shuffle charge/sync cord to charge my iphone 4? it's the headphone jack one. (and people say the reason it's "no" is because the headphone jack is only a output and not a input... my thoughts are they are wrong because if that was the case, then you couldn't use the mic on the headphones through the headphone jack. The mic is the input, while the headphones are the output. so there is a two way connection of some sort there.. ))
My iphone 4 charger and charge/sync cord are the ones that originally came from the phone back in January 2013 when i got it.
(if i were to try the other charge/sync cord that came from the ipod shuffle, it's the one that orignally came with it, back in 2008-ish . (but i dont want to break my phone in the process. so i'm just trying to find other options and make sure that it wouldn't short it out or kill it in some way (the charger, the charger/sync cord, and/or the phone)).
I have the 1yr warranty, but i've never had to actually use the warranty on this specific phone, so i dont know if this is counted with the phone, since it is the item that came with the phone from verizon. (a few years back, the charger on my motorala phone just stopped recieving charge (there wasn't any explaination as to why, other than it stopped working, and when i took it in, they tested to make sure the phone wasn't the one not recieving the charge, and when it was the charger cord they traded me a refurbished one. (just the cord not the charger that it plugged into (Because it was the cord not working))
thx!

Okay, I tried really hard to excise out the facts of what exactly you are talking about.  Very difficult to understand.
1. Yes, the charger that came with your iPhone is covered under Apple's 1 year warranty ... but it is only covered for manufacturer's defects.  It's not covered if your "kitten chewed on it" ... if that's what you were saying at the top ... not exactly sure.
2. You need to use a 30 pin cable to charge your iPhone.  You cannot charge it by something that plugs into the headphone jack ... if that's what you were saying is how the other charger works.

Did you purchase Apple Care prior to your 1 year warranty expiring?

Is it normal for someone to have general diffuculty charging an ipad?  I see the "not charging" message even when I am using the charger and cord that came in the original box, plugged into a wall socket directly.  It is normal for me to plug it in overnight and to see no charge whatsoever the next day.  I have never had so much trouble using a friggin charger in my life.  It just seems to be exceedingly finicky.  What am I missing?

Charging your iPad should not be problematic. It should be an easy thing to do using the charger provided with your iPad connected to a known good wall outlet.
The charging problem you are experiencing is most like caused by:
    1. A faulty charger
    2. A faulty cable
    3. A bad wall outlet
    4. A problem in the iPad.
The first three of these are easiest to eliminate. Try a for ends charger and cable. Make absolutely sure your outlet is good. Try other outlets.
If the charger, cable and outlet a proven to be good then the problem lies in the iPad.

  • Can I use the same sync cord for my 1st Gen and 2nd Gen iPod?

I have to replace my sync cord (house fire) and I wondered if I could buy just one cord to sync both my iPods? I have a 1st Gen and a 2nd Gen.

If they both use the same type of cord, 30-pin or lightning, then yes, you can. There is no difference to the internals of the cords, just the connectors. Just match what you need.

  • I Dented my brand New Ipad, n i'm really upset, is it covered under Apple Warranty?;(

i dented my brand new Ipad, will Apple cover this under its Warranty, I found on You tube that Apple replaced the dented Ipad of a user with a brand new Ipad

I would think so. However, if Apple doesn't, you can pay for them to fix it. It should not be too much. I'd also like to recomend the Otterbox Defender case for your iPad if you have been known to break things. I have dropped my ipad in this case, and my iPad is still flawless.

  • Does Apple make a 6 ft charge/sync cord for the iPhone

  • My lightning cable is not longer charging are they covered under warranty

My lightning cable have stop charging my phone are they replacement cover under 1 year warranty???

All Apple products that came in the box are covered by 12 months warranty
All Apple cables etc purchased seperately also come with a 12 month warranty

  • How can I disconnect the charging/sync cable if it's stuck?

The housing came apart -- lost a button and the other is askew. Now the phone won't release.

Some cables have release tabs on the sides, if present press these inwards, then just pull the cable out. I would just try to pull on one side first, get it to release. Then out it comes.

  • Charge / Sync fault

Good evening, I have just opened my new iPad 4 and it does not charge or sync. The device came out of the box with 81% battery. I decided to plug it in to fully charge it but there is a fault. It makes the charge / sync beep every 1-2 seconds but will not do either. (It seems to be a sort of on / off /on /off thing). Would anyone know if this is a cable fault or a fault with the device itself?  Thanks in advance!

Hmmm... the Droid Charge manual isn't any help, neither is Samsung's website.  Tried a Google search which primarily indicates you need third party software by CompanionLink.
    http://www.companionlink.com/android/outlook/
On a side note, I too use Outlook at home and have been thinking about syncing to my Thunderbolt. The manual specifically states you need HTC Sync software (http://www.htc.com/us/support/thunderbolt-verizon/downloads/)
