Is the Idoc no generated in SAP R/3 is same as in SAP XI

Hi Experts,
I have a query about communication through Idoc.
1. Is the Idoc no generated in sapr/3 is same when we see that idoc in XI?
2. Suppose we have a segment/field of an idoc with a certain number 'XX' in r/3, will it be same when we check the same segment/field in XI?

1) Yes(For Outnound interfaces). You can verify this using IDX5 transaction of SAP XI system. YOu can use the IDOC number of SAP R/3 system to search for the corresponding XI message.
2) yes. (Exception: Control record values in case of Inbound scenarios. If you do not check the option, Apply control record values from paylod in ID, you will not see the value that is assigned in IR).

Please keep in mind that the idoc no generated in PI will be different than the one generated in SAP...for idoc...
the correlation between the idocs in both systems is the message id...

IDOC Error - Error Passing the IDOC

Dear Experts,
             I had a <removed by moderator> problem while saving the invoice.
            In my case, IDOC is created and Status is shown as 03 (Data Passed to port OK), But the file is not written in Application server. In the status record of the IDOC its showing as 02 (Error at OPEN '/usr/sap/invoice/20110616_125040 with operating system error msg.: ' (check path name) Message no. E0099) .
              I search some of the Answers in SDN but unable to find the Exact Solution. Some members get the same problem, But the status shown to them is 02(Error passing the data to Port) - for me its shown as 03.
              But Some of the IDOC are generating without any error, I can the view the file in Application Server. But some idoc are getting status as 03, but unable to view the file in Application Server while viewing from AL11.
            Please help me to solve this problem. <removed by moderator>.

                But his happen only for few IDOC,, For first time it is generating without any Error, 2nd time its generating IDOC, but file is not written.

IDOC Segment is missing in the IDOC even though I have populated values

Hi Experts,
   I face a problem in the IDOC processing.
   I have a custom IDoc type with 2 segments in the same Hierarchy.
   In the Z program I populate both the segments and send the internal table to the MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE Fun.Module.
   When the IDOC is generated, I see the IDOC with only one segment and the 2nd segment is missing.
   When I debugged the program, I see the 2nd Segment also getting populated.
   Can you give some info that can resolve my issues.

Check the below points,
1. Check the internal table IDOC_DATA in MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE in debug mode whether the segement with values are populated.
2. Are you populating the parent & hierarchy level in segment, if yes check whether the values are right one.
3. There may be a possiblity the std SAP code would delete the custom segment if its any syntax error in segment defenition.
Check this and if you still have the issue come back.

IDoc type could not be determined for the IDoc

I am trying to Post the payment run through the transaction F110.
In the payment run log i get the following message:
"IDoc type could not be determined for the IDoc"
But in fact the IDoc is generated and it is displayed in We05.
I have configured the Message type PAYEXT-PEXR2002 and EUPEXR-IDCREF01 both for the partner.
Has anybody Idea about why this error is coming and how i can resolve this?
This is important because in Payment run log, they need to know the IDoc number generated for that run, else it may become difficult for user to identify which IDoc was created for a particular payment run.
Would appreciate if anyone can please help on the same.

If you are paying the payment through F110, if the payment exceeds the limit what you are spefied in available amounts in FI12 screen. First Please check this screen.
still if you are having any problem
Check in the below path:

2. Assign Release Approval Procedure for Release for Payment

In DOM (or EOM) scenario, no IDOC is generated for XIF_IDOC site type

Hi friends,
I have a problem with an XIF_IDOC site in the Distributed Order Management (DOM).
We are using DOM scenario to separate and distribute CRM sales order
items to different sites. Under the tcode SMOEAC, I defined a new site
called "EKSIRLANDA" whose type is external interface for IDOC
(XIF_IDOC). I made a subscription of "DOM items" (DOM Order Split
(MESG) ) for the EKSIRLANDA site. After that, (under the tcode WE20) i
defined EKSIRLANDA logical system partner profile with the outbound
message type "CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M". I saved a new order under the tcode
CRMD_BUS2000115, but no IDOC generated. After checking all the related
customizing and the CRM_DOM_ITEM_DISPATCH method implementation of
CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI everything seemed all right. By the way, we are
using CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI badi to separate the related items to the
related sites. Anyway, i added another subscription called "All
Business Transactions (MESG)" to the EKSIRLANDA site and saw that 2
IDOCs are generated. I investigated those 2 IDOCs. One of them is what
i want. In other words, it contains only the related order items that
are separated from the others in the CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI
(CRM_DOM_ITEM_DISPATCH method). The other IDOC contains all the order
items. I do not want this second IDOC. If i remove "All Business
Transactions (MESG)" subscription and leave the "(DOM Order Split
(MESG)" subscription alone, no IDOC is generated. This is the problem.
Why does not "DOM Items" subscription alone generate any IDOCs? IDOC
settings are not wrong because when i add "All Business Transactions
(MESG)" subscription to the EKSIRLANDA (XIF_IDOC) site, the IDOC is
generated, but this time an extra IDOC containing all the items is also
generated. What is the problem?

When i am running the RBDMDOC it will not genarated the idoc for the infotype 0105

               Hi experts,
                        I am run a pa40 action and change the record of 0105 infotype, in bd64 as part of data filtering I am also mentioned 0105 . but when I am run the RBDMIDOC the idoc is not generated of the infotype 0105 .

1.   I am created record for the infotypes i.e :0,1,2,6,105.
2    In bd64 I done a data filtering for above infotypes , its fine , but when I am running the bd21   Tcode the idoc is generated for    0,1, 2,6,. it is not generated for p0105.

File to IDOC:how do i relate inbound idoc with generated idoc in the R/3

can any body tell me how can i relate the IDOC number genrated in the PI with the generated IDoc number in the SAP R/3 system for file to IDOC scenario?
in SAP PI for tcade idx5, idoc no is:12002
but in SAP R/3 in tcode WE05, idoc no is:846915
how can i know a particular message (in SAP PI) created a particular idoc in the backend SAP R/3 System.

Hi Kumar
at the time of testing you have to note down a time at what ur file got picked up ok
then go to we05
-> give the date on CREATED ON field.
-> then in BASIC TYPE field select your particular IDOC CREMAS05 or whatever, see the TIME field that you have noted down at the time of testing, if that is matching means that is ur latest IDOC you have tested.
-> one more thing, tha last IDOC showing in the list means that is your latest IDOC you have tested.

Use multimapping in message mapping. Then map the Idoc node to the Message Type of File.

Generating the IDocs for some particular segments only......

I have activates the change Pointers for generating the IDocs whenever the master dtaa is changed.
Is there any technique so that I can recive the IDocs containing only those segment's data which is relevant for me.

The question I have asked is not related to Inbound I Docs processing.
Actually I am sending the IDocs to Non-SAP system whenever any change is made to the master data, using the Change Pointers.
Now, the situation is that the file that is getting generated contains the data corresponding to many segments. So, is it possible to restrict the segments/fields for which the data is generated.

In MIGO you can go to service of object(Just above show overview) and check 5th option workflow you will find the idoc number.

Inbound IDOC error (Name MARA is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects)

Hi everybody,
we are currently having some issues with importing idocs into our ERP DEV System and i cannot figure out what the problem could be.
I am trying to import an IDOC Type ARTMAS (5) but i keep getting the following error "Name MARA is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects"
The system is a ERP only system with no BI content activated at all.
I don´t find any more errors nor any dumps or SLG1 entries related to this issue.
Did someone already experienced that kind of problem, or do some of you maybe have an idea where to have a deeper look.

Hi Shabbirmdpasha,
If you know the user name then you can find the idoc numbers created by that user. But the problem here is it not only gives the material it gives all the idocs created by that user. Go to SE16 --> table name EDIDS --> here you can fill the approximate date and in UNAME give the userid and execute. This will give all the idocs created by that user. I know it is only a partial solution.
