Is the inline view functions causes more ?

Hi,
I am getting ORA-07445 CORE DUMP ERROR...
IT IS COMING ONLY SOMETIMES WHEN EXECUTING A STRORED PROCEDURE
WITH 10 STATEMENTS.
OUT OF THEM ONE REFERES TO REFCURSOR FOR OUT PARAMETER,
THAT QUERY IS LIKE
SELECT * FROM(SELECT * FROM (SELECT * FROM(.....))));
So is this inline view statement causes for such errors?
Please help me.
thanks in advance,
khaleel

Probably regular FFT functions from Labview Signal Analysis and Processing Pallete can be used as well. In this case the following articles are worth reading:

Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data.  (I have a screen shot to show this.)  CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong.  I could also send screen shots of this data.
At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR.  This is not normal.  I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution.  If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

  • What happened to the " street view " function in the maps app in iOS6?

What happened to the "street view" function in the maps app of iOS6?

Gary ~ It's now available via a browser:
Street View for Google Maps web app goes live

  • I am unable to use the Live View function when working with JavaScript in Dreamweaver.

I am currently trying to set up my own website with dreamweaver and am very familiar with Java and JavaScript. However, whenever I try to use the Live View function it never lets me. Additionally, I am unable to preview my work in a browser as the option to do so is greyed out.
However, I have noticed that when using html in a project, all these functions are available. Any ideas how I can be able to use these functions?

Is it possible you meant to say you were "very unfamiliar with Java and javascript" in your initial post?
Javascript doesn't do anything without an html page to affect.
Java and javascript are not the same thing, they're really not even related other than browsers can be made to render both. Java is its own programming language while javascript is basically html's helper monkey. I don't think it's even feasible to "understand javascript" without knowing html. My last post still stands, if you are coding javascript, you need an html based page to turn it into anything but plain code to a browser, so the option to view it will never come up. When you preview the page it's attached to, it will function correctly (as long as it has been attached to the page correctly).
Java on the other hand can create programs that run without a browser at all and I've never gotten close to touching that monster.
You may need to explain what you're trying to do and post the code here to get the help you need.

  • What is the best way to replace the Inline Views for better performance ?

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle 9i ,
What is the best way to replace the Inline Views for better performance. I see there are lot of performance lacking with Inline views in my queries.
    Please suggest.
    Raj

WITH plus /*+ MATERIALIZE */ hint can do good to you.
    see below the test case.
SQL> create table hx_my_tbl as select level id, 'karthick' name from dual connect by level <= 5
    2 /
    Table created.
SQL> insert into hx_my_tbl select level id, 'vimal' name from dual connect by level <= 5
    2 /
    5 rows created.
    SQL> create index hx_my_tbl_idx on hx_my_tbl(id)
    2 /
    Index created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(user,'hx_my_tbl',cascade=>true)
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Now this a normal inline view
    SQL> select a.id, b.id, a.name, b.name
    2 from (select id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1) a,
    3 (select id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1) b
    4 where a.id = b.id
    5 and a.name <> b.name
    6 /
    Execution Plan
    0 SELECT STATEMENT Optimizer=ALL_ROWS (Cost=7 Card=2 Bytes=48)
    1 0 HASH JOIN (Cost=7 Card=2 Bytes=48)
    2 1 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    3 2 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
    4 1 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    5 4 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
Now i use the with with the materialize hint
    SQL> with my_view as (select /*+ MATERIALIZE */ id, name from hx_my_tbl where id = 1)
    2 select a.id, b.id, a.name, b.name
    3 from my_view a,
    4 my_view b
    5 where a.id = b.id
    6 and a.name <> b.name
    7 /
    Execution Plan
    0 SELECT STATEMENT Optimizer=ALL_ROWS (Cost=8 Card=1 Bytes=46)
    1 0 TEMP TABLE TRANSFORMATION
    2 1 LOAD AS SELECT
    3 2 TABLE ACCESS (BY INDEX ROWID) OF 'HX_MY_TBL' (TABLE) (Cost=3 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    4 3 INDEX (RANGE SCAN) OF 'HX_MY_TBL_IDX' (INDEX) (Cost=1 Card=2)
    5 1 HASH JOIN (Cost=5 Card=1 Bytes=46)
    6 5 VIEW (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=46)
    7 6 TABLE ACCESS (FULL) OF 'SYS_TEMP_0FD9D6967_3C610F9' (TABLE (TEMP)) (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=24)
    8 5 VIEW (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=46)
    9 8 TABLE ACCESS (FULL) OF 'SYS_TEMP_0FD9D6967_3C610F9' (TABLE (TEMP)) (Cost=2 Card=2 Bytes=24)
here you can see the table is accessed only once then only the result set generated by the WITH is accessed.
    Thanks,
    Karthick.

  • How can I revert to the prior version 9pre-3.6.13 update of firefox, as the new oone is causing more trouble than it's worth?

The 3,6,13 update has disabled real player and occasionally locks up my mouse while in firefox. I don't see the advantages of the update if it's causing this much trouble with other software.
    ''locking as a dupe - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/771591 ''

Changing versions often does not cure problems, but it does increase risks.
    * ( Do Not ) [[Install an older version of Firefox]]
The search options will not be changed by downgrading, but there is a method of changing that without downgrading.
    * See Ed's [/questions/1044599#answer-685295]
I am not sure the changes in Firefox 35.0.1 would cause your audio issues
    * https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/35.0.1/releasenotes/
The first step in troubleshooting that may be to identify the tab or page involved, then try Firefox with only the newtab page and the problem page open.
IIRC Firefox is intended to continue streaming audio even if a tab does not have focus. That enables users to stream audio in the background whilst browsing. What you hear may be intended behaviour.

  • What is going on with the zoom / view function with 13.0.3?

I just installed 13.0.3 upgrade for 64 bit and now when I resize an image to, say 800 x 600 pixels, the resulting image is very small. To get the image to display in the window at the same size (100%) as before the upgrade I have to zoom to 200 - 300%, and get the associated pixelation. Nothing else on the computer has changed (i.e., display preferences) to my knowledge. I am using a rMBP running OS X 10.8.2. Very frustrating because this is a change in behavior after the upgrade. The screen shot below shows what 100% zoom looks like now, which is about 1/3 the size an image like this used to be prior to the upgrade.

You're on a retina-equipped Mac.  The change was done on purpose, to fully support your high density display.
Now when you view images at 100% zoom, it literally is using each pixel of your display to show one pixel from your image.
Earlier Photoshop versions were running in pixel-doubling mode - using 4 pixels (2 by 2) on your display to show one pixel in your image at 100% zoom.
If you want to view it as it was before, try 200% zoom.

  • Does an inline view execute before the rest of the select?

    Hi,
The O'Reilly book Mastering Oracle Sql defines an inline view simply as a
subquery in a select FROM clause. This conforms to the definitions in
the Oracle 9i and 10g docs.
But unlike the Oracle docs, the O'Reilly book says the inline view is,
like a WITH clause, executed before the rest of the query. I can't see
how this can be done unless the inline view makes no reference to
other tables joined in the FROM clause.
Is there a species of inline view in 9i/10g that IS restricted as above -
no refs to other tables in the FROM clause - and what is it called?
    Thanks for any help.
    Ken Quirici

As explained above, Oracle can choose to merge the query if feasible to do so. Look at the two queries and their plans below. The plan in second query changes to creating a temporary VIEW since in that case, Oracle is unable to perform the merge:

  • Inline views and parallelism

On Oracle 11.2, our application uses a "lot" of inline views.
Not knowing much about the benefits or advantages to using inline views, I wondered a few things about the use of them.
First, When I look in OEM, SQL Monitoring, I noticed that queries on inline views that have tables with parallelism set, the queries on inline views do not appear to be using parallelism on the inner query. Or, perhaps they are, but I'm not able to see that they are. How can I tell if they are?
If they are not, would it be necessary to use a hint to use parallelism?
So what are the advantages of using inline views?
I would assume they would use more PGA and/or temp tablespace, but that doesn't seem to be the case in our database (or at least it is not causing any impact that I can tell).

I would assume they would use more PGA and/or temp tablespace, but that doesn't seem to be the case in our database (or at least it is not causing any impact that I can tell).A critical point is whether the inline view can be merged into the calling query. As a general rule, if the view can be merged then the query will be more efficient than if it cannot be. A non-mergeable view has to be instantiated as a memory structure before the calling query can run against it. consider these examples:orcl>

If there are no duplicates or no nulls, tell Oracle this. And one of my pet hates: lazy programmers who use aggregations or distinct because they don't know if there are duplicates, and so don't bother to handle them properly.

  • Missing 'open view' functionality in 0ADHOC_TABLE (0ADHOC),  web template

Hi - it appears that the 'open view' functionality is missing as button in web template 0ADHOC_TABLE (0ADHOC), despite there is 'safe view' functionality (button).
Did someone add this button/functionality to 0ADHOC_TABLE?
What is the correct Javascript coding as we already tried to incorporate the 'open view' Javascript from template 0ANALYZER what does not work in this matter!
    Thx for any hint!

    Hi,
as described in the documentation you have to add first HELP_SERVICE and HELP_SERVICE_CLASS to your Web Item
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/53/295640a2f78437e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
This is done in Template 0ANALYZER with the TITLE Web Item. Just copy those 2 parameters from 0ANALYZER to 0ADHOC Template, then it should work.

  • Passing a value to Inline View  WHERE clause through JDev...

    Hi ,
I need to pass a value to inline view which is mentioned in below VIEW query.
That view is created inside a view using jDev. Note that there are two WHERE clauses one in the Main query and the other in the Inline view.
How to set the value for the innerView.
    //copied the code from Java
    view.volAlertsHistroyView.setWhereClauseParam(1, new Integer(clientId));
Gives an error Missing IN or OUT parameter at index:: 1
    SELECT Alerts.SEND_TIME,
         Alerts.STATUS,
         Alerts.TEXT ,
         Groups.NAME,
              VolRoles.ROLE_NAME,
                   VolRoles.ID as vid,
                   Groups.ID as gid
FROM ALERTS Alerts, ALERTS_GROUPS AlertsGroups, GROUPS Groups, VOL_ROLES VolRoles,
    --Inline view starts
    (SELECT GRP_ID, VRL_ID FROM vol_groups WHERE cli_id = :1) user_group_role
    --Inline view ends
    --Actual WHERE clause starts
         WHERE ((Alerts.ID = AlertsGroups.ALT_ID)AND (AlertsGroups.GRP_ID = Groups.ID))AND (AlertsGroups.VRL_ID = VolRoles.ID)
         AND AlertsGroups.VRL_ID = user_group_role.VRL_ID AND AlertsGroups.GRP_ID = user_group_role.GRP_ID
Please get back to me .
    Regards

What happens when you change your Java code to:
    view.volAlertsHistroyView.setWhereClauseParam(0, new Integer(clientId));
The ":1" does not directly relate to the where clause param index you use in Java. In your query you could also use a ":2" for example. In BC4J you still use "0" for the first param.

  • How do I insert Greek characters from the character viewer in Lion?

In Lion, the Character Viewer shows many more options for different characters than SL.  Of course, it displays Latin, but, as I scientist I often need to insert Greek characters, but I cannot find Greek characters in the Character Viewer.  I don't otherwise need to select Greek as a language.  Inserting Greek characters from some applications like MS Word still works.
And ... while I'm here ... what happened to the "insert" button?  -j

Click the gear icon to edit your list:
    Select Customize List:
    and check "Greek"

  • Can You Explain This SQL Query - Inline View Included

The query is taken from "Oracle Database 10g: SQL Fundamentals II" page 3-7 (chapter 3)
I do not fully understand the following query:
    SELECT a.last_name, a.salary, a.department_id, b.salavg
    FROM   employees a, (SELECT   department_id,
    AVG(salary) salavg
    FROM     employees
    GROUP BY department_id) b
    WHERE  a.department_id = b.department_id
    AND    a.salary > b.salavg;
The inline view can return several records. Can you please tell me in step by step how does this work. I understand the concept of join tables and aliases, etc. I just need to know the mechanism of this code.
    Thanks

The query is returning the last name, salary , department and average salary of all the departments where salary is greater than the average salary.

  • How to set the JavaHelp viewer

    Hi,
Robohelp 7, Windows XP, installed with the TCS
How do you point RoboHelp to a different JavaHelp viewer
instance after it has been set initially? I was first using
JavaHelp 1, but then installed JavaHelp 2, and I want to switch
between the two for viewing, as I compile for the different
versions. The only way I found to do it was to change the path to
the active viewer which causes RoboHelp to lose it and to ask you
    again where it is.
And by the way, I looked in the help for this and I got some
whacked out non-scrollable window that seemed to search the Adobe
website, rather than provide help. Am I doing something wrong? It
didn't look like a help system at all.
    Thanks,
    Russ

Hi Russ and welcome to our community
Fellow Adobe Community Expert Peter Grainge has info on
JavaHelp that may help. Not sure about switching viewers.
For the help, click Tools * Options * General tab and choose
the “Use offline help” option. Then close and restart
RoboHelp to see the offline version of the help. It should be
    better.

  • Improve performance of  an inline view query

    All,
I have a unique situation where I have to limit the number of rows based on group. so I created an Inline view and applied a limit on it.
    ex:
    SELECT col_A, col_B FROM ( SELECT col_a, count(*) FROM tab_a WHERE col_a = 'XXX' GROUP BY col_a) ROWNUM <-10.
but this design was rejected, because it seems to have a great impact on performance due to inline view.
Also I cant set a rowlimit directly on the query because GROUP BY clause is used in the select.
When the rownum is directly applied in the WHERE, first it limits the rows and then it makes a GROUP, so when user asks to retrieve 10 records, it may show less than 10 rows because of the grouping.
please help to find a alternative solution which helps to get the expected result set and same time without loosing performance.

    Hi,
The sql you gave us is not valid. There is no "col_b" in your inline view, there is no "where" before "rownum<10", and the inline view returns only one row.
Try to produce a reproducible scenario with scott.emp and scott.dept generated by $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlsampl.sql
