Is the intel celeron 900 good for gaming

i got a toshiba l455 and it has intel celeron 900 and it is for world in conflict

Nope.  It's barely capable of web surfing, e-mail, and word processing.  Celerons are at the lowest end of the laptop processors.   I seriously doubt that the graphics chipset in that system will handle gaming either.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • I will get macbook air soon , 13" maybe 11". now is the intel hd 3000 good for gaming ?

i am playing this Game Dragona PH , is the system requirements match up ? in MBA ?
can i play it smoothly ? can the intel hd 3000 manage the game ?
    heres the system requirements .

13 in MBA (and MBP for that matter) has only "integrated graphics".  The graphics chip is part of the CPU, and shares memory with the system/CPU.  When this integrated graphics chip heats up, the CPU sometimes has to throttle-back ALL operations to reduce damaging heat.
15 in MBP uses "discrete graphics".  This means there is an additional graphics card separate from the CPU, with its own heat-sink and memory (it *may* share share *some* system memory).  The heat from a discrete card has far less effect on a CPU so the entire system can stay running at high processing loads.
Games tax the graphics chip, so slow-down the 11/13 MBP/MBA in more because it must throttle back under heavy graphics load.
Regardless of the 11 or 13 system's ability to keep up with today's games, future games will likely tax/heat-up the system in the future.
This in not a "final" answer, I know.  Just some facts to consider.

  • Is the 802.11 ac good for gaming?

we have 3 xboxes in my house and I was wondering if this device would be good for gaming?

If you are trying to run 3 xboxes at once to online games you will find it well neigh impossible without a router that is fully Microsoft Vista UPNP spec and above.. due to the nature of NAT routers each xbox will need the same ports opened .. this is not possible.. only using upnp can xbox negotiate a different port.. and apple did not include upnp in the apple router.. so I think you are going to run into big problems.. you cannot simply use port mapping..
I would strongly recommend a router on the xbox compatible list.
here is the comment about apple routers for mulitple xbox connection.

  • Is the mac book pro good for gaming?

Is it good for heavy minecraft work? And which core should I get?
    Thanks

Minecraft does not have heavy system requirements, so any of the current models will play minecraft just fine. Either the Core i5 or Core i7 will do for what Minecraft requires, so if you are only interested in Minecraft then I'd go for whatever fits your best price (the 15-inch will ultimately do better than the 13 inch because of the dedicated graphics card). If you are looking to extend beyond Minecraft and do heavy graphics processing in games or otherwise, then go for the Core i7 and higher quality dedicated graphics card.

  • Is the MacBook Pro with retina display good for gaming?

I was looking at the MacBooks and I was thinking about the one with retina display.  I wanted to know if it was good for gaming also. Just something like skyrim or maybe WOW.

If you're not a heavy gamer, then yes it will be great.
I play WoW at full retina display with the performance I noted above - if you have trouble, you could always revert to 1440x900 just for WoW and Skyrim.
I know WoW lets you choose a resolution within the game so nothing wo worry about outside - not sure about Skyrim but maybe so?
I am a light gamer. I used to have a 2011 MBA, just an off the shelf model with no upgrades, and it played WoW very well for its size etc.
An iMac would be great too. For the price of a rMBP you could go for an iMac for games/home use and a base spec MBA for working on outside...?
However iMacs are pretty outdated atm - not allowed to say much on here but might wanna wait for something to happen...

  • Just purchased the new Macbook Pro 13-inch: 2.3 GHz, Is it good for gaming?

Right, so I just purchased the new Mac Book Pro 13-inch: 2.3 GHz, Is it any good for gaming, On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) how good?
Can I run games like The Sims 3 flawlessly? Will I have problems with lagging and speed .etc?

Sims 3 will run on medium setting with approximately 33 fps (which is ok).
Most other games will run on low settings, some on medium. Its definitely not a gaming laptop but it can handle some games.

    Single Core celeron at 2.2ghz?
Not even 3GB of ram is going to save you from this situation with the way the Intel HD graphics card is stealing your memory.
The first thing I would do if you have the time for it is get a nice drink and set it next to your computer, you are going to need it.
And remove all the try me and buy me stuff. Its going to take you at least 20 to 25 minutes to do.
After this, your computer should be speedier.
Some more things to consider. If you run MSCONFIG you can control on your computer the things that load up in the system tray. Be only sure to mess with the Start Up Try and not the other options.
A through explanation of how to use MSCONFIG can be seen on this page: http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/index.html

  • 15" Macbook Pro i7 4GB Ram good for gaming?

Hi, I'd like to know if the 15" MBP i7 4GB Ram good for gaming? I'm not gonna be an intense gamer I would just like to play games during my down time. All I will be playing is like 1 MMORPG and maybe 1 or 2 FPS games. I will not be doing this all at once. I will be using bootcamp. I have some friends tell me that they wouldn't play games on the MBP because it could ruin it? Is this true? They tell me that it's not wise to play games on this laptop.

It would depend on the games and how demanding they are, but generally laptops make for horrible gaming platforms in general. Apple laptops in particular tend to be among the thinnest of the bunch. A MBP can be thinner than plenty of netbooks out there while packing considerably more punch. That doesn't leave a lot of room for any excess heat that may be generated while gaming.
If we're talking older games, that probably aren't all that demanding, then maybe. If we're talking newer games that are pushing the limits of the laptop's specs, I'd recommend against it.

  • Which notebook model is good for gaming?

    Hello!
Prompt me please what better to take notebook for games from your firm?
    In advance thanks!

    Hi Dmitriy
Well, it's not easy to say which notebook is good for gaming.
A friend of mine has bought a Qosmio notebook and was satisfied with the performance. Also the newer Satellite notebooks are pretty performance strong.
In my opinion if you want to play only the games and the portable factor is not very important for your so I would recommend to use the desktop PC.
The desktop PC is easier for device and part upgrading. You can change the CPU and the graphic card. The notebook upgrading is not very easy and some parts like graphic card or CPU cannot be changed.
Also the graphic card drivers are very important for the gaming. Notebooks manufacturers use not original graphic card manufacturer's drivers. They design own graphic drivers because of the graphic card overheating protection. Sometimes such drivers are a little bit older then newer original graphic card drivers and not compatible with the newer games.
    It's your choice.

  • It's the Mac book air good for graphic design and video editing ?

I'm into graphic design for clothing logos etc. and I'm a photographer my question is, is the Mac book air good for these things?

ideally a 15" would be best for same, as referring to the 15" macbook Pro.
For a photographer, which I used to be long ago, either the Air or Pro are close in form factor for travel with only one moving part, and SSD.
The retina display in combination with the 15" would be idea as best choice for photo editing and graphic design.
