Is the iOS 6.1.3 update worth it for iPad 2?
I have iOS 4.3.2, so it would be a big jump. I don't like the fact that I'll lose the YouTube app (I use it, I've never really used Google Maps app, though), but it's nice to be able to update my apps and download apps that require a higher OS.
However, I have heard/read a lot about connection issues for the iPad after updating to iOS 6.1.3. For me, losing the Wi-Fi would be like losing the iPad. I've also read that it "breaks" the ability for the device to connect to the Internet? I don't want permanent damage...
Do you think there will be an update 6.1.5 that will fix the Wi-Fi bug before iOS 7 comes out?
Many people using iPad 2 have the Wi-Fi problem: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5014501?
I would just like to know if they were unlucky or if you were lucky...

Unable to Update or Restore
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097 -
I recently did the iOS 7.0.2 update, now I'm unable to purchase apps. "App could not be purchased at this time. Please try again later. ". I have tried a few of the suggestions and nothing has worked. Reset, change auto lock time on main screen, change language setting. Now what???
This sorted it for me:
Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).
To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up. -

I followed the directions to install the IOS 7.0.6 update to my Ipad Mini, but when I click on install and agree to terms & conditions, it says it is unable to verify the update because I am no longer connected to the internet. Not true. Help.
Ok, got it now. I turned the Mini off and rebooted. Seems to be working fine now.

After doing the IOS 7.1.1 update on my iPad 4 the screen just shows the iTunes icon and a cable with an arrow. I can't get the device to open. Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks!!
Yes. The phone will be back to default settings.
Once the phone is up and running you can try and restore your backup again.

I completed the iOS 7.0.2 update and now my screen is locked in the Connect to iTunes position. I am not near my home computer so I cannot connect to iTunes. Please let me know if there is a way to recover this without connecting to a computer.
Use iTunes on any computer to restore your iPhone. Your data
will be gone, but your iPhone will be functioning. You can restore
when you get home.
You may wish to look into iCloud to prevent data loss in the future:

Can't restore iPhone after turning off while doing the iOS 8.0.2 update
I wanted to do the iOS 8.0.2 update. This didn't work and my iPhone 5 turned off. Now it says that I have to connect ti iTunes. I tried to restore it but it always says that a mistake appeared. Now i can't use my iPhone anymore and i don't know what to do
it took me 5 hours to get iTunes to sort my phone out!!
I have an iphone4 I updated to iOS8.2 this ruined my phone. The bloke in Apple store told me to reset my phone. Whilst it was in the reset mode it froze meaning it was a brick! I couldn't get rid of the apple logo and iTunes was not recognising my phone!!
I changed the USB ports and that appeared to work. BUT once my phone was on it did not ask if I wanted to restore from icloud ...... So I've lost all my settings and text and have no clue how to get them back. My iPhone is like new, which is rubbish coz it took me over a year to get it how I liked it!! -
After the iOS 5.1.1 update,I can't connect to Bluetooth on our iPads
SInce the iOS 5.1.1 update I can no longer connect to our Bose Sounddock via Bluetooth on both of our iPads. I can still connect to the Sounddock via bluetooth with my iPhone as I have not completed the iOS upgrade. The speaker still works because i have obtained a hard line connection to the iPads and via bluetooth to the iPhone as discussed. Any suggestions?

I finally loaded the iOS 8.1.2 update to my iPhone 6 yesterday. I've noticed that my battery seems to be draining faster and my phone is getting really hot if I use it for any length of time. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix? Thanks!

Hi why does my itunes always say "error contacting server" when i update my iPhone 5 (iOs 6.0.2) with the iOs 6.1.3 update?
Hey Tigergirl17,
Thanks for the question. If you haven't already done so, you may want to update iTunes to v11.1 (released on Sept 18th). After updating iTunes, you can then update your iPhone 5 to iOS 7.

HT5295 I can't download the iOS 5 to make updates
I can't download the iOS 5 to make updates
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Last night I tried to upload the ios 8.1.3 update to my Iphone 5. There has been a black screen with a blue itunes symbol and plug-in picture for 12 hours now. I've repeatedly tried a reset by pressing and holding the home button and sleep button. Screen goes black, apple symbol appears, same itunes/plug-in picture comes up.
Greetings jacbak79,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you attempted to update your iPhone to the latest iOS version and now you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone. In this situation, it may be necessary to place your iPhone into recovery mode manually and perform the restore and update. To complete this process, please follow the instructions located in the attached article.
