Is the iPad mini refurbished non retina running iOS 7 or iOS 6

I didn't know the refurbished iPad mini black and slate is it running iOS or 6 and it is released October 2012

Go to settings> general> about> version and it will show which IOS you're running. Even if it is running IOS 6 it can be upgraded to the most recent IOS 7.1.1.

does the safari app on the iPad mini crashes a lot running on iOS7? Because my dad's ipad mini safari app crashes alot.

Try closing all apps in Multitask Window
    1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
    2. Swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.
    3. The app will fly off the screen

  • How comes the Ipad mini isn't Retina Display if it has the same resolution as the New iPad?

How comes the Ipad mini isn't Retina Display if it has the same resolution as the New iPad?

The iPad mini doesn't have the same resolution as the "new iPad".
    iPad 3 & 4 (retina) = 2048x1536 pixels
    iPad 1 & 2 (original) = 1024x768
    iPad mini = 1024x768
Apple likely didn't put a retina screen in the iPad mini to keep cost down and to have an option to upgrade the iPad mini to a retina screen down the road, in a year or two.  It could be however that the pixel density of 2048x768 at 9" poses a problem for the viewer, in that text and features might be rendered too small or too thin for the average buyer/consumer.

  • Will the ipad mini 2 have retina display?

will the ipad mini 2 have retina display?

    Hi sbyrne94,
We don't know that yet. Apple is scheduled to make an announcement on September 10th. Apple will talk about their new products. Maybe something will be annouced then about a new iPad Mini. Stay tuned!

  • Does the iPad mini have a retina display?

Is the iPad mini have a retina display, just as all other apple products? If it doesn't, please tell me what resolution it does have! Thank you!

The iPad Mini does not have a Retina display.  Visit the Apple store for specifications.

  • Hi, does the ipad mini have a retina display?

Hi, I would like to buy an Ipad mini or Ipad retina display for my son going to 8th grade. School administration recommends that. So I am wondering which of the two Ipads is better for him in school. Is there a difference in the display as well?

No, the iPad Mini doesn't have a retina display. It has the same screen resolution as the first two iPad models had i.e. 1024 by 768 pixels, which on the Mini works out at 163 pixels per inch - the iPad 3 and 4 which have retina displays have 2048 by 1536 pixels, which is 264 per inch
If you will be using the on-screen keyboard, as opposed to a bluetooth keyboard, then the larger iPad would be better suited - but due to the larger screen I would probably suggest the larger iPad anyway (e.g. you will be able to view more of your documents on-screen, and webpages and ebooks will also fit more on the screen). Are you near to a store which has both in so that you can compare the sizes of the iPads yourself ?

  • Is the iPad mini (version 2012) a decent ereader

I've read some reviews stating that the iPad mini doesn't do well reading outside in sunlight. I'm moving up from a Kindle Keyboard which gave great results in sunlight to an iPad mini (2012 non-retinal). Any comments from iPad mini users? Also, the Kindle was not lighted so I had to purchase a lighted cover to read at night. Hopefully the mini has enough of a lighted screen to make night-reading easy.

Night time reading will be easy, just like looking at a laptop screen in the dark.
Reading in direct sunlight will be less easy. You'll most likely have to take some steps to avoid reflected glare, because in very bright conditions, at certain angles the iPad screen can look almost like a mirror.

  • Just got the iPad mini. Why can't I view my Facebook profile? (I'm using the Facebook app) I can open my News Feed but when I go to my page, it comes out with a notice "page doesn't exist, or you don't have permission to view this page" HELP!

It's frustrating to not be able to view my own Facebook page using the iPad mini. I have the iPad 1 and the Facebook app works fine there, I can see my personal FB page with 1. Is this characteristic of the iPad mini only?

    Try this:
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If none of those work, delete the app and install it again.

  • Can I use Final Cut Studio 3 - notably FCP 7 - on the lastest MacBook Pro (non Retina) (Z0MV-27-4GB-512-HRA Apple 15" MacBook Pro/2.7GHz Quadcore Intel Core i7/8 GB) running OS 10.8?

Can I use Final Cut Studio 3 - notably FCP 7 - on the lastest MacBook Pro (non Retina) (Z0MV-27-4GB-512-HRA Apple 15" MacBook Pro/2.7GHz Quadcore Intel Core i7/8 GB) running OS 10.8?  If not, is there a work-around if I have to revisit work done in FCS 3?

I have it running on the latest NON-Retina MBP. And a good friend of mine has it running on his Retina model. Works fine.

What if I have to revisit any one of them?  What if I try FCP X and find I prefer FCS 3?
If you need to revisit them...that's why you install FCS3.  That's really the only reason I have that on my system, to revisit old projects, and to deal with clients who still use FCP 7.
You really should look at moving on though...not sticking with FCP7. It's 4 years old...two years since it was EOL.  Adobe Premiere Pro CC is a very good FCP replacement...although I don't like their "rental" method of paying a subscription to use it.  Or you can buy Adobe CS6...but that just lacks enough to make it not quite tempting for me.  Premiere CC is spot on...but **** if I don't hate that subscription model.  But there's also Avid Media Composer.  But that doesn't do a lot of things that I used FCP and Adobe for...

  • What is an ideal case for the iPad mini with Retina?

    Hi all,
Yesterday I broke down and finally decided to buy one of the iPad Minis' with Retina on the refurbished site.  It was a good deal!
I have an iPad mini 1st generation that I will be selling to my brother, so it's an even better deal!
Anyway, on my 1st generation  I am using an Otterbox Defender case which I like, however it does add some bulk to it and also the screen gets very oily and riddled with fingerprints from all the touching (even with cleaning).
I am wondering if there is another case that offers as much protection as the otter box (and has the screen protector layer) but that's a little leaner and the screen doesn't track fingerprints as much ( although it is inevitable)?
    I appreciate all your input!
    Thanks

  • When  is the ipad mini with retina display coming out?

    Dear people of Apple,
I was wondering if any time soon there will be a ipad mini with the screen updated to retina display coming out soon?
If you have any guesstamate answers please write back!
    thanks,
    Keroparakeet

Apple has not announced any new versions of the iPad mini. And we, your fellow users, are not allowed to speculate in these forums. We'll just have to wait and see.
    Regards.

  • Will the Tech21 Impact Mesh for iPad mini fit on the ipad mini retina

I am wondering because I am thinking of buying a new ipad mini retina but the case I like the most is only the original ipad mini. So will the small thickness increase make it not useable.
I know about the microphone issue on the retina ( there is also one one the back where as there was not one on the back of the ipad mini original.

For sure? No. Seeing as how no one has seen a new mini in person. However checking the specs there is a .3 millimeter size difference, there shouldn't be a huge issue.

  • Can you add 3g to the ipad mini later if you purchase the non cellular model?

I am interested in buying an ipad mini but I'm not sure whether to get the ipad mini with cellular data. So does anyone know if I can add the 3g later to the ipad mini if I purchase the non cellular model?
    Thanks,
    Emily x

No you can't, and the ipad mini is 4g LTE. It doesn't come with the hardware to enable cellular if you don't buy one with cellular

  • Is the resolution on the iPad mini retina better than any other retina?

The 1st gen iPad mini had the same resolution as ipad 2. Becasue the mini is smaller than the 2 the pixels were denser.
So my question is... Is the resolution on the iPad mini retina better or denser than other retina screens found on other devices?
    Thanks
    Lionel

Try resetting the iPad (hold the home and power buttons down until the Apple logo appears).
