Is the iPhone 3GS compatible with Motorola DECT 6.0 Bluetooth Home Phone?

I have reception problems in some rooms in my apartment. I know that other cellphones are compatible with this motorola's home phones, so you can leave the cellphone in the room that you have signal and use the bluetooth connection of the cellphone with the motorola's handset so you can have reception in the bluetooth coverage area.

If you are able to pair the iPhone at all with the Motorola, it is compatible. If you "have reception problems in some rooms in my apartment" note that Bluetooth "coverage area" only includes line of sight distance. Bluetooth is not rated to penetrate any intervening solid objects such as walls, doors or even bodies (living, dead or undead).

I resolved it. I had to put the Jawbone into 'pairing' mode, by holding down the Jawbone it two different places. So it is compatible.

As it is their product an no one on these forums could yet have used the device with an iPhone 6, you may just need to wait until they respond.
    Best of luck.

  • Can the iphone be compatible with my existing hardware?

I need to know if the iphone will work with my Powerbook G4 500. I don't believe it has a USB 2.0 port. Will the iphone work with my Powerbook USB port? At a slower speed? I do have a Firewire 400 port. Is there such a thing as Firewire 400 converted to USB 2.0? Thanks for your help.
    Powerbook G4 500   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

you should look into getting a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card for your Powerbook, you know the slot which you may not use at all? You can get them as cheap as $18!!!
Check out amazon.com or newegg.com or ask an apple employee at an apple store, etc.
Would be great for your situation, as it will help not only for the iPhone, but for cameras and the bunch of USB 2.0 devices that exist.

  • Iphone 3gs compatiblity with Tom tom sat nav

just got anew I phone 3GS - after checking it had bluetooth etc ; I assumed it would interface using bluetooth, with my Tom Tom not only for hands free calling but also to download up to date traffic information - as did my old Samsung SGH G600. The telephone calling is fine but apparently Tom Tom now tell me the sat nav units are not compatible with iphone for getting the traffic information downloaded via the internet.
I never dreamt (perhaps naively) that a major phone supplier like Apple would not automatically be compatible with Tom Tom.
Anyone come accross this problem and got a solution - other than buying a new sat nav or an additional sim card for my old phone plus a subscription or pay as you go cost of course!!

Thanks for info. I know there is/are an app(s) for this but not fully investigated it yet as I want to be certain I cannot just 'fix' my current problem and continue to use Tom tom with iphone as i did previously with Tom Tom/Samsung.
If I do look have to look for alternatives Tom Tom do a new satnav with 'hd traffic live updates ' which I understand does not need a phone connection at all - sounds interesting

  • Is the iPhone 5 compatible with Mac OS X 10.5.8?

I have a MacBook with Leopard 10.5.8, wondering if the iPhone 5 is compatible to sync with itunes10.6.8, because I tried to open .dmg 10.7 itunes says I need os 10.6 or higher to open the file , whats the deal, because it would suck to get my iphone 5 on release day and not be able to sync my media.

I haven't investgated, nor have an iPhone, but I doubt it, Apple likes to leave old things behind.
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 4GB at least, more if you can afford it)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
It's been pulled from the online store, so you have to call Apple to buy it, last I heard, but quick, call before it's gone!
    Call Apple 1-800-MY-APPLE
You have to get 10.6.8 first to go even higher to 10.7 or 10.8

  • Is the iPhone 3G compatible with Mac OS X Lion?

I heard somewhere that it is not compatible, but I am not sure as I cannot find that source anymore.  My dad has an iPhone 3G and he is afraid to upgrade to OS X Lion because he heard that they aren't compatible.  Thanks!

    Nathan-
Sorry, I must not have been clear with my question.  I am asking if syncing and other connections with the computer are compatible between OS X Lion and the iPhone 3G.  Thanks!

  • Is the iPhone 5 compatible with the Audi Music Interface (AMI) system in my car?

I have a 2011 Audi A4 and I'm wondering if the iPhone 5 will work with car's audio system if I use the 30-pin to Lightning adapter. Will I be able to control my music with the steering wheel and have visibility to tracks, etc. on the dash display as was possible with my old iPhone 4?

I have a 2013 S5 which works fine with the red cable and an iPhone 4. I can see videos, audio, video podcasts, and album art, but no album flipping as with the Jukebox items. Audio from other apps, such as Public Radio or Pandora works. When playing from Pandora, go to Functions and choose the Info option to display the track info and album art.
I tried my iPhone 5 with the red cable and 30-pin adapter, and the AMI did not initially recognize it. The device did show up for about one second, but then disappeared. I tried disconnecting the Lightning connector and then reconnecting. When the iPhoneshows up in the Source list immediately select it and it may load the info. If not, disconnect the Lightning connector and try again. It may take two or three tries, but it will connect and play audio, including the track info and album art. Other audio apps work as well, Pandora with album art. No video sources will play.
I use my iPhones with a 30-pin male to female extension cable so I can connect the red cable in the glove compartment and see it on the dash with velcro.

  • Why is the Iphone not compatible with Verizons 4G network?

Will Apple be coming out with an iphone4S that is compatible with Verizons 4G network?

Why? Because it does not have an LTE radio in it.
As for will Apple come out with one that is, nothing has been announced, therefore no-one knows. It's highly doubtful that there will be a version of the 4S that is LTE capable.

  • Is the Iphone 4 compatible with "Pay & Go" Sim Cards?

I'm thinking of purchasing an Iphone 4G, but I'm not old enough to apply for a contract, so there's no way of me being able to phone anyone. My question is if it's possible for me to:
    1) Purchase an Iphone 4G with a "No Term", meaning no contract.
    2) Then insert a "Pay & Go" Sim Card, which will allow me to pay a certain amount of money on it when ever i want, & then use my phone for calls, etc... until the money runs out?
Will this allow me to access the internet & call other phones?
    Thanks!
    Additional Details
One little detail. I might buy the phone in Germany and use it in Canada... Will the Pay and go sim work?

Unlocking & no contract are two entirely different things. An officially unlocked phone can be used on any compatible carriers network with the appropriate activated sim. No contract means that the phone is not subsidized, you pay full price, but are commitment free. No contract phones can still be carrier locked, I.E.- in the US you can purchase a no contract iphone at full price, but the phone is still locked to AT&T.
