Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

The landscape and portrait mode when AirPlaying your iPhone to the Apple TV will depend on the app you are in on the iPhone.
For example, the home screen on your iPhone is in portrait mode even if you rotate the phone, so if you are AirPlay mirroring this, it will show in portrait mode on the TV. If you have photos taken in landscape mode and rotate your phone or watch a video in landscape mode, then the video should appear in landscape mode on the TV.

If it is second hand, try putting it in recovery mode, and restoring it with itunes on a mac or pc.

Hi i just got a new Iphone 5c and my itunes says i need 11 to reconize the iphone , of course having a powerbook g4 i can not upgrade to itunes 11 .

There's always a solution for a problem. So don't worry about what's going on withyour iOS device. Just follow these steps. I hope It will help you.
Setp - 1.
First of all, make sure that you're device have at least 50% battery. If not, charge your device properly to 50% or higher battery percentage then continue to step 2.
Download a latest version of your iPhone firmware from here:

IIRC the sim from another phone can have data on it but the iPhone will only copy it into contacts if requested
but leaves the data there so you need to have it the other way round ie data on a phone sim that is iPhone compatible used in Nokia or what ever and also in iPhone with sim accessed in Nokia but not in iPhone

To enable imessage on ipad check that imessage is enabled in settings>messages but note that any message that you send from your ipad will be from your email address as you dont have a mobile number linked to imessage.
With everything enabed you should just be able to add contact into your contact list and then message them from there

I have had a couple of accidents with my iPhone 4 - mostly with it slipping out of my hand while rushing to get it out of my pants pocket to answer a call. Once I tried to block the fall with my boot, but unfortunately this backfired on me and I ended up kicking it rather hard against the wall. Fortunately, other than some fine hear line cracks in the back glass panel, wall paint and shoe polish marks on the outer bezel, it still works fine.
I subsequently decided it be wise to look at some practical solutions to help me extend the usability and prolong the life-cycle of my iPhone 4 so I went about evaluating all the facts and concluded that since the phone is most vulnerable when I rush to get it out of my pants pocket (it's primary residence) to answer a call in time, plus the fact that I hate holding any phone against my noggin to have a phone conversation, plus the fact that I cannot stand having anything in my ear for anything longer than 15 minutes, plus the fact that I dislike cables attached to me, oh yes, and the proximity range issue thing... Well, after all these considerations, I concluded that the most practical solution for my needs would be to go out and buy a decent Bluetooth ear-piece, which I did.
I paired my new ear-piece with iPhone 4 -- all good. I can use voice dialing to place a call -- all good. I can keep my ear-piece in my shirt pocket and yank it out only when I need it to answer a call -- NOT good. For some really stupid reason that I fail to understand, iPhone 4 will automatically decrease the ringer volume and still indicate full volume in settings when one has a Bluetooth ear-piece connected!!?? And there is no setting to disable this! So now I cannot hear the phone ring most of the time. Such a little limitation, but such a huge inconvenience to me. Or, is there something I have overlooked?

Thanks, I know it rings in the ear-piece. I don't want to wear the ear-piece all day just to know the phone rings. My gripe is that full volume should not be indicated in settings when my iPhone decided for me to reduce my ringer volume with the ear-piece connected. It must be my choice for my needs to turn the volume back up so I can hear the phone ring without having to wear the ear-piece.
