Is the iTunes App store the only place to get apps?
Not that there is a problem with it, but was wonder if or when it may be opened to other sites for downloading to your ipodtouch. I don't see any place where this could be done.
I have a Gen 1 iPod iTouch, updated to 2.2. I can't seem to get apps on it like facebook that i have downloaded through iTunes.
What am i doing wrong?

I tried it this morning to download Twitter and it worked just fine. I also was able to download other apps before school. Now I'm trying to download a few Christmas apps and it won't work at all. I tried other apps thinking maybe it was just the certain app and none of them are able to be downloaded. I cannot figure out what to do. I have restarted my phone, changed my password, logged out and back into my account and nothing is working. What do I need to do to get it to work?
I went into settings, iTunes & App Store and tapped on my appleID, then signed out. I went back into the App Store on my phone and tried to download the app and then signed in again, and it worked!
Apple is looking into the issue> as I was told by the tech support! -
After reinstalling pc the itunes wont store the apps
hello,
after reinstalling my laptop, i had to reinstall itunes, and after reinstallation for some reason, itunes wont let me to store any apps, it shows the apps on my iphone but in it wont keep them in the itunes, and the apps that there was in the itunes before the reinstallation are now gone, i've syncked the phone numerous times, but it wont do anything...
Please advise.
Also is there a way of backing up your contacts?

I received an ipad with seminar materials on it at a recent seminar. Now I want to add apps, using my app account. But when I try to do that, the app store says my ipad is registered to the person who put on the seminar. How can I fix this so I can use my ipad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap on the previous user's ID and sign out. Then tap sign in and enter the information for your ID and password.

I am in the US, but need to download an app that is only available in the iTunes Australia store. How do I do this?
Move to Australia, get an Australian credit card with an Australian billing address then change your iTunes address to your physical address in Australia.

Somehow I tapped the wrong button and ended up in the Spanish App Store. I got a message saying I can only purchase apps in the American App Store. How do I get back to the American App Store? Thanks in advance. Btw, I use an iPad 3.

Have an iphone 3G and wen to install the Facebook app from the app store. Wen I selected install app, it said that the iphone requires IOS 4.3.
I then plugged the phone into itunes and it said the phone was up to date (IOS 4.2.2 I think it said?). How can i install these apps, the same happened and other apps i tried to install. Any advice would be much apprecaitedUnfortunately there is nothing that you can do and you CAN'T install these apps becuse your phone is too old. A 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2, which is the most it can support and these apps need iOS 4.3 or above to be installed and there are no versions of these apps available.
Developers have to place a cut off somewhere and keep developing for the most recent software that does not now include the 3G.
If you want to install these apps on your phone, then you will have to upgrade to either an iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, 4s or 5. That is all you can do because you won't be able to download these apps on an iPhone 3G - just not possible any longer. -
My Apple ID is only limited to Indonesia iTunes Store. I would like to buy some music from iTunes USA Store. How could I use my Indonesia-based credit card in order for me to buy music from another iTunes store? The iTunes Indonesia store is very limited as it only sells apps and books products.

Did the update to OS 5...synched all my apps..then only 11 pages of apps are visible..the others are invisible..If I move an appfrom the 12 plus pages in itunes to a lower page...It becomes visible....WHY?..How can I get all 20 plus pages visible?
OK....First,you are right, OS 5 has the 11 page limit....you must create folders of Apps until you get below 11 pages of combined folders and apps...NOTE.....the upgrade to OS 5 killed all of my old folders and folder organizations...this may be an issue for all????.....I have over 300 apps so when the old folders went away...I was left with 20 plus pages....only 11 visible....It took me awhile to find out what happened....Since I have 64G it seems that 11 visible pages is a silly limit since the apps are on the machine...

When I press the iTunes button on my ipod touch I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store' . My wifi is working fine, I can connect to safari & you tube, no parental setting in place, and time and date are correct. Can anyone help please? I have restored my ipod to factory settings and rest it.
I also tried moving the date forward by a year and then moving it back to normal and it still doesn't work. i can't find an automatic update of time zones on my itouch to turn this off.

Itunes 11.4.0.18 crashing when clicking on app store
Itunes is getting crash when clicked on app store. I tried to get some information for this crash and got the above message in debugging mode. Please fix this if required but i am unable to open app store.Click here and follow the instructions to change the iTunes Store country.

I downloaded Piezo to my iMac about a month ago. Now I can't download it to my laptop even though I have authorized the MacBook Pro in iTunes. When I open the App Store, the Piezo app indicates that I have to pay. How do I download Piezo to my laptop, which I am entitled to do?
I'm running Snow Leopard on my iMac. I have a heap of documents that were created using an old word processor application called Apple Works and it wont work on Lion or Mt Lion. So I'm stuck with Snow leopard for the moment. I guess I can't use the new iPhoto either then...

Can anyone recommend a duplicate file finder application for OS10.6 systems? All the apps I find on the App Store are only for 10.7 and later. I don't know how to filter a search on the App Store by operating system (if this is even possible). I currently have a MacBook running OS10.6.8. If you can recommend an app, please post the URL. App Store: Account only valid in US iTunes Store (in US!)
Odd problem. All my apps from the app store are crashing at startup. I didn't do anything other than connect to a new wi-fi hotspot.
I tried shutting down the booting up again. No luck. Then I tried to delete an app and re-install to see if that helped. When I got to the app store, the content of the featured page for example was different. Then I noticed that the prices were in Euros (a c with two horizontal line through it). Of course, when I tried to re-download the free app with my US AppleID it failed. The error message:
"Your account is only valid for purchases in the US iTunes Store."
NO WAY! Had no idea. It's not my fault that it's not letting me browse the right store.
Any ideas? I've seen this three times on other people's phones.
(iPhone 3G 16GB, OS: 2.1 (5F136))On your last sync, it appears you were not logged into the iTunes store on your computer....when you sync it gets your account info from your computer if you are logged into the iTunes store, thus knows where you are and what you can get.
Try logging into the iTunes store on your computer then resyncing. -
After trying to update all in app store the icons are just staying on waiting position and noting happens
I have posted this quite a few times and some of these suggestions have worked for others in the past. See if anything works for you.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. You can also dete apps in Settings>General>Usage>Storage.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

On Export, seprate folders for different ratings?
Is something like this possible now in Aperture? In the export window I don't see an option for it. It would be great to use the ratings system to offer the exported images sorted by ratings. My choices in one folder, out takes in another....
