Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Since I primarily use Google Calendars, I need to see my Gcalendars on my IPad and could until I added the most recent update of IOS6.0.1 and now they are gone. I was told by Apple sales people when converting to Apple products IPHONE, MACBOOK PRO and IPAD that they were competely compatible with Google calendars, contacts and mail. It seems there is a push to force people to use ICloud which I for many reasons won't use. Primarily, I have eight calendars in my Google account that I need to see on my IPAD and IPHONe for business. Why would this not be available to google users anymore? Also not being able to invite attendees when creating calendar events is also very limiting. Come On Apple, give people free access to their information from all their devices.

I'm starting to serihously think this phone has been jailbroken... I've got a senior technical support advisor at Apple who is working on the case. He has gone through everything he can possibly think of, but won't take "no" for an answer.
At the moment, he has logged everything with the Engineering Department, who is going to look into it further using the IMEI number and see what they come up with. If worse comes to worse, Apple will apparently replace the phone for a fee. The problem is that it is 800+ days out of warranty...
Anyway, we'll see how we go. If anybody has got any ideas about this, please continue to provide answers. I appreciate all responses -
I can no longer manually select podcast episodes to download. It automatically downloads the most recent. I have been downloading a few past episodes at a time due to limited memory of my Shuffle. Is there a work-around for this?
Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall. -
After updating itunes to 11.1 and phone to ios7, I lost more than 3500 songs from my library. My ipod has 4185 songs less the most recent I purchased.
Is there no way an ipod can be used to restore the lost music? Yes, some of it was from cds but were done a long time ago. Obviously it was acceptable for me to compile this music then, now they want to say since it all wasn't purchased, I can't have what was already mine? Plus I do not use nor want to use the cloud, but it keeps creeping up even though I don't want or use it. HELP!See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Why are my pics not showing up as the most recent pics uploaded? I can find them but have to search
I'm using PSE7 and first off, the program has been letting me upload pictures directly from my camera. I now have to load them from my computer then from my computer to PSE7. Once uploaded they used to pop up as the most recent loaded, now I have to search for them. Any suggestions?
In the organizer there is a option to change the view by Date (Newest First) or Date (Oldest First), you can change the settings inside the Organizer to change the view.

Do I need all the updates, or just the most recent?
I'm in the process of cleaning out my hard drive to free up some extra space. In my add/remove programs menu I have "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0" updates 3, 4, 6, 8, and 9. Do I need to keep all of these, or only the most recent one? I could free up almost half a gigabyte if I delete the older ones, but I don't want to do so and then find out that I screwed up my computer. So my question is, do the new updates simply compliment the old ones, or replace them entirely? Can I safely remove updates 3, 4, 6, and 8?
Just one's enough. Get rid of the old ones.

How do I configure my phone to the most recent sync in iTunes?
I am attempting to set up a temporary replacement phone and my attempts to restore my phone to the most recent backup (completed earlier today) are not working. Instead, my iTunes only recognizes the most recent backup from 1/22/13.
Is there any way I can change my most recent backup so that my iTunes will acknowledge it? If this is not possible, how can I sync the new phone so I don't lose almost three months of text history, photos, notes, etc?
I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8, and both the original and replacement phone are the 4S.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Itunes only keeps one backup and every time you make a new backup the old one is overwritten. If you still have your old phone then make a manual backup of it (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766). As to the replacement phone and the three months of messages etc you might use a program likeiphone backup extractor to retrieve and keep information on it and also do a backup but remember you can't merge the two backups and if you restore from a backup the information that you get back is per whatever was on the backup you used for the restore

After the most recent FF update, FF 3.6.6 will not load, citing the error message: "XULRunner / Error: Platform version '1.9.2.3' is not compatible with minVersion>=1.9.2.6 / maxVersion". Tried updating XULRunner with no luck. Downloaded fresh copy and installed. Still no luck.

Running Firefox 3.6.3 on my aging machine, I got a dialog telling me that I should upgrade. I did. When the update was complete, and the application restarted, I was running Firefox 3.6.24, and shown a page saying:
“Thanks for downloading Firefox, but this version is out of date. Unfortunately your computer's operating system isn't compatible with the most current Firefox learn more, but you are encouraged to download the most recent version that is compatible instead.”
Clicking the link to the “most recent version” took me to a page which said:
“Firefox 3.6.x will be maintained with security and stability updates for a short amount of time. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox.”
There was no other suggested version linked to that page, and the latest version of Firefox is, of course, NOT compatible with my machine.
Mozilla is confusing me here. Why did Firefox drop back within v. 3.6.x from the version I was already running? Why does the site suggest upgrading to an apparently non-existent “latest compatible version” without providing a link to its suggestion?Other browsers that you can look at:

I just downloaded Firefox 6.0. The web page asked if I wanted to upgrade. What is the most recent version of Firefox and why can't I get it denoted in the propperties link? Also why is it not compatible with AVG Tool Bar?

I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

FF 7.0.1.4288 intermittently uses 97-100% of CPU capacity for a few seconds, alternating with a few seconds of normal idle usage; this can continue for long periods. During these periods the computer responds very slowly. I can terminate it (temporarily) by rebooting.
FF 7 occasionally uses 97-100% of capacity continuously for several minutes; my impression is that it would continue indefinitely if I did not reboot. When I try to reboot in this condition, FF does not respond, I have to click End Now, in which case previous sessions are not saved.
Norton believes this is due to an interaction between FF 7 and Norton 360. They say that 7.0.1.4288 is a beta version. Norton tells me that 360 should become compatible with FF 7 in a month or two. In the mean time I need to reinstall FF 6.
I cannot see how to do this on your website.

You may need to update Norton. A patch for their toolbar to make it compatible with Firefox 7 was released on the same day that Firefox 7 was released. You may need to run Norton's "Live Update" several times to get all that is needed.

You have multiple old Java Console extensions that Java did not clean-up during updates. You need Java Console only if you do Java programming/development or debug Java applets on web pages. You can see them in Add-ons > Extensions, '''''but you can not remove them from there'''''. Removing them will not affect the functioning of Java on websites. You can '''''manually''''' remove them, '''''if you do not do Java development work''''' to avoid future, possible problems/conflicts:
