Is the new release cycle really making Firefox faster?

The new release cycle of Firefox may help in increasing the overall speed and stability of Firefox and shorten the time, we have to wait for new features. However, at the moment this causes a lack in add-on support. If we gain speed and new features, but therefore abandon old features, that made us faster not by performance, but through a different style of using Firefox, then what have we won?
For example, with FF 5.0 - 7.0 the "Site Launcher" is not working anymore. Maybe Firefox is now loading pages faster, but I am at least twice as slow in navigating, because "Site Launcher" was - together with "All-in-one Gestures" - my most used Add-On.

The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

I can open Google Chrome and IE without any problems. My new version of Thunderbird won't let me see messages.

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

If your budget is unlimited, look at both the retina and non-retina and make a decision based on your preferences. If funds are tight, explore the options in the refurbished section. Unless you are dealing with courses that demand specific performance parameters, any one of these options will suffice.

What happened to the new releases alphabetical list? You used to get a list sorted by date when you click ALL in new releases. Now, they only list "featured" new releases with pictures of the artwork. Is there still a way to see the alphabetical list by release date.

yes - i have the latest version; and the change to their new releases occured over a month ago. A couple weeks ago, the old format returned briefly.

You used to be able to click on New Releases and get a line listing of everything that was added to iTunes for that week and the previous 3 weeks. What happened to that? The whole poing of going on iTunes was to click on bands I hadn't heard of and find out what they sounded like. Now you can't do that anymore. I don't care about the 20 CDs in the New Release link that are in the Best Buy and Circuit City Sunday Supplement.

It's not down, seems the link is missing. If you go to http://trailers.apple.com and then click on the link to Trailer in iTunes it will take you to the trailers page inside iTunes. It's being updated as there are new trailers showing there posted today (June 30).

AME will not update to the new release

AME will not update to the new release. Tried from the help menu in both AME and Premiere. It Fails each time I try. Is this a known issue. I was not able to update AE or Premiere from the CC app manager. I had to update those both from the update item in the help menus of each program. What is going on?

There are two steps in patching via creative cloud or from within the application.
1. download the patch
2 apply the patch

I did run into download issue yesterday where CC tried to download patches for a few apps at the same time and it failed to download. I suspect the servers that patches reside on were busy. When I tried it a few hours later, it worked.

After 5 days figuring out how to install Solaris on my new VAIO laptop, I ended up with a bug on snv_79 on having both Graphic and Wireless card from one vendor, http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=54263&tstart=0.
I have heard it has been fixed on later builds.
Kinda wondering if anyone can give me a hint on where or when to get the new release? Just sitting here waiting for it! :D

HATE The new Verizon front page on Firefox

WHY WHY WHY have you made it so I can't log in to my email account from webmail.verizon.net without having to go through this other page that makes me log in a second time???? I don't want to see this other stuff, I just want to go to my email account. And even if I want to go to my Verizon account to make a payment or something, I can't go there without logging in yet another time!! Can I undo the linkage? I really loathe this new set-up--it's messy, loaded with ads and **bleep** "headlines" I have no interest in. Please make it go away!!

I just went to http://webmail.verizon.net/signin/ and logged in. I then clicked on the Account button at the top of the window and was taken directly to the My Verizon page, no extra login or anything.
Re: the ads. Since you are using Firefox, I suggest you consider using Adblock Plus. It is a free Add-on for Firefox, will get rid of many, many ads on web pages. And it is customizable by web page and site; you can allow specific ads or scripts or block them. Works great, I have been using it for a couple of years I guess, and love it. Plus, FWIW, I found a couple of sites that the Verizon pages load stuff from that seemed to consistently take an awful lot of time to load, blocking those sites improved my Verizon website response times tremendously. ehg-verizon.hitbox.com is one of the sites, can't remember the other one right now, it is not included on this page where I am entering this response, but if you want to follow up you can send me a PM or ask here.
Anyway, I cannot reproduce your issue, assuming I am understanding you correctly.
