Is the Quickoffice editing version already availab...

Subject says it all really - I know the N97 comes with the Quickoffice viewers out of the box, but is the upgrade to a version which can edit Office documents available right now, or is it still in development? This is a deal-breaker for me - I'm moving to an N97 from a Palm Treo, and I need Word and Excel editing on the device.

OK.....so, I followed my own link and saw that I could get OfficeSuite for only 20 euros. So, I figured I would give this inexpensive option a chance. I purchased it and it onlycost me US$20 and not 20 euros (a savings of over US$7 over the 20 euro price!).
I think I still prefer QuickOffice interface. But since I don't know what the edit capabilities of QuickOffice are - since they don't have a version for me and there is NO WORD on when they will - I can say that OfficeSuite is very usable and not a waste at all. For only $20, you get the ability to create new docs (word, excel, etc) and edit existing docs. The edit interface is difficult, but on a small screen, can you expect better?

I solved my problem,
Definitely a bug in syncing through itunes.
- Connect Iphone with MacBook Pro through USB
- Go to iphone on itunes, photos, deselect photo synchronization.
- Sync (all pics will be removed from iphone)
- Close itunes, iphoto, disconnect iphone
- Select in finder: (home)-pictures-iphoto library.
- Sec click on iphoto library and choose "show package contents"
- Delete iPod Photo Cache
- Close finder
- Empty trash
- Reconnect iphone
- Allow photo synchronization again and everything works smooth.
After this, changes made in iphoto are instantaneously reflected in iphone photos.
Once every hundred photos, one gets detached from iphoto and then changes are no longer reflected (buggy) :-(
In this case I erase the photo in iphoto, sync, go back to iphoto trash, reestablish the photo from the trash and sync again.
Hope this improves. Still have to try cloud though.

Go to your purchase history, click on "report a problem" and report the problem. Apple will respond and they will likely provide a free re-download.

I cannot email my changed PDF file. It only ends the nob-edited version

How do I take a PDF doc I have edited on my IPad and email it WITH the changes I have made?

You're being misled by viewing it on the iPad with another app like Mail. When you make annotations, signatures, etc. iOS doesn't properly display them. But when you transfer them by email to a Mac or PC and view them in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat, they will display your changes.

IPhoto is not allowing the edited versions to be exported.

Apparently, there is a long-standing issue with iPhoto not keeping the edits once photos are exported. I usually don't test my exports to see if the edited version was exported correctly. I just assume Apple products are working as they should. But I tested today and discovered what so many of you have discovered - iPhoto is not allowing the edited versions to be exported. I can't see that Apple has addressed this. What is going on here? Side Note: I am also frustrated that Apple took iDVD out of their line-up of available preloaded software. Getting more disappointed with Apple all the time.
Has someone figured out how to easily get around this obvious flaw?
Could it have something to do with the preference of importing the photos into the iPhoto Library. Should I uncheck this in the preferences menu? I really only want to use iPhoto for quick renaming of files and simple editing purposes and then export them to my own method of organizing and back-up. I use Photoshop for more extensive editing. Would really like to continue using a simple method, but so far, this simple method is more work than is necessary for Apple's software. Come on guys!!!!!

1 - there is NO " long-standing issue with iPhoto not keeping the edits once photos are exported." If you are doing things correctly it is trivial to export edited versions (or originals if you prefer)
2 - it is strongly recommended that you do not uncheck the preference to copy imported items to the iPhoto library - unchecking this preference makes operation much more difficult and makes upgrading hardware or moving to a new system almost impossible
3 - you are doing something wrong - since you do not tell us what you are doing - or even what version of iPhoto you have - it is impossible to u hfigure out what you are doing wrong
exactly how are you exporting photos? Exactly how are you using PhotoShop for editing?
The proper way to eidt using PS is to set PS as the external editor, edit in PS and save (not save as) to return the edited version correctly to iPhoto? The best way to export is to select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export (file menu ==> export) - the default is you get the current (edited) version

Update:
Discovered that a specific sequence is required.
Column 1 must be set to slice and colums 2-5 pie -- then Preview
Then swap and it works.

I am trying to create a Pie Graph using Ring_Multi .
I created a database table with 3 rows.
1st column is a varchar2 that I want to use for no of Pies.
2-5 columns are number types.
When I assign column 1 to the pie and columns 2-5 to the slice I receive a error that states to add a numeric value to the pie. If a swap then the error states to add a numeric value to the slice.
When I added one of the columns 2-5 to pie it runs, but the result is useless.
I have tried this at least 50 times, and believe it or not on 3 out of the 50 tries the error did not occur and produceed the desired result.
I am using Vista 32.
By the way the Bar graphs work fine.

I have installed the Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.4.0 in my PC. But the Tutorial document I have with me, that was written for 11.1.1.2.0. This document I received from ORACLE during my ADF traing with Oracle corporation. Now I have a new PC and I installed the latest version of the Jdeveloper(11.1.2.4.0). This time when I tried to follow the document, I do not see the same screens as before. Sould I remove 11.1.2.4.0 version and install the version 11.1.1.2.0 to follow the training document?
Or is there any training document or user guide for this new version 11.1.2.4.0.
I just need to practice few ADF applications/examples with step by step guidance. Any link or document will be helpful.

That is Pages for iPad v2.0, which Pages '09 v4.3 can't read.
You need to either stick with the older version of Pages on the iPad or get Pages 5 for the Mac which is only available if you are running OSX 10.9 Mavericks.
Unfortunately that is not the end of your woes because Apple has made iCloud convert the files to Pages 5 now, and Pages 5 has over 90 features deleted on top of doing a shocking job of converting older Pages files.

But they no longer appear as a recent import. Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues. I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
