Is the screensaver turning off the iTunes player?

I can't keep adjusting screensaver timing every time I want to listen to music, but I can't listen to my iTunes library longer than 5 or 10 minutes without it shutting off. The answer has not revealed itself to me yet! Would a nice person please suggest the answer?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

My phone is doing the same thing. My computer acknowledges that I have connected my iPhone 4, however, iTunes will no longer connect or sync to my iPhone 4. I have uninstalled iTunes, Bonjour and all Apple products from my pc. I have re-installed them back on. I have reset my phone. I have emptied my temp folder. I have done everything. If my iPhone cannot update and sync with iTunes then I may as well get another phone from somewhere else. I am disappointed that I cannot resolve this issue.

ITunes crashes when my screensaver turns off

iTunes crashes whenever my screensaver turns off. Quicktime crashes too if it's open. Nothing else seems to crash though. Has anyone encountered this?

Same here but only when resuming from a locked screen (CTRL-ALT-DEL). If my screen saver is on (I do not have "Require Password on Resume" turned on) the problem does not happen but if I leave my desk and Lock my screen, when I return, iTunes will have crashed.
This only started happening after I upgrade to iTunes 10.

Itunes store does not display with in the itunes player, why?

I have latest iTunes download. I have PC with Windows Vista. My system requirements are what they should be for the iTunes player. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting that i am willing to go through to make this work - Can someone !! Tell me why does the iTunes store NOT DISPLAY with in the iTunes Player?
I click on the iTunes Store from the iTunes player...center screen with in the player shows that its "Accessing iTunes Store" when its finishes - the screen remains blank! and stays like that...
Again why does the iTunes store not display with in iTunes?
Also , my Safari acts the same why...i open the browser and the Screen just sits there never finding, opening, or access anything from the web...YES I am connected to the internet? SO why does Safari sit there...

You'll have to put your phone in DFU mode and restore. Search this forum to find instructions on placing your phone in DFU

Thr screensaver turns off the music even when I Set it as yes, screensaver with music. I have restore the appletv, but it still happens.

Try manually connecting the device to your PC in Disk Mode and then restoring it iTunes.

Putting iPod devices with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode
If necessary, verify that your iPod has a Click Wheel.
Before placing the iPod into Disk Mode, verify that it is charged.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least six seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.
Connect the iPod to your computer; the screen on the iPod will should say "Do not disconnect".
If you are having difficulty putting your iPod into Disk Mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center. If you are still unable to put your iPod into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.

When updating to the new iOS my ipod died and now I have nothing but a white screen that won't turn off and itunes now doesn't recognize it

When I was updating my ipod touch to the new iOS last night it died and now I have nothing but a white screen. iTunes no longer recongnizes the device and it won't turn off when I hold the power button or when I hold the power and home screen button.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

How can I get the iTunes player in the taskbar?

I've tried to find an answer to how I can do this in Windows 8 however there are no answers. I don't want the icon where I have to click and select what I want iTunes to do. I've done the thing where I add the toolbar to the taskbar and allowed iTunes to minimize to the tray but all this does is give me the icon. I want the player in the taskbar so I can just click play/pause and such. I've got the newest version of iTunes.

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Sound output turning off in iTunes

When using iTunes on my macbook pro and connecting to AV amplifier with miniDVI-HDMI cable, the sound output turns off after some minutes. apron touching the trackpad, the sound turns on again.this does not happen with VLC. any help?

Since asking the question, I have established the following:
The sound output stops when the display goes to sleep. Note that only the display sleep mode affects this, not the computer sleep mode. Also the screen saver does not have any affect.
So, does anyone know how to stop this from happening? It does not make sense to me that iTunes ouput should stop when the display (not the computer) goes to sleep ...

Match turned off, non-iTunes artists have cloud icon

On my iPhone there are artists with the cloud icon next to their name.
I have Match turned OFF on the iPhone.
I have not purchased songs by these particular artists from iTunes.
Why are the clouds there?
(I do have Match enabled on the Mac this iPhone syncs with.)

Turn Off View iTunes Store & iTunes Sharing?

How can you turn off viewing the iTunes store & the sharing folder/"Home Sharing" in iTunes 9.0 for Mac OSX?
I keep access to these features and viewing theses features off when not using them to gain an uncluttered view of my playlist window.
The new version allows me to disable access to these features in parental controls and also select that I don't want to view file sharing. However after I disable it and say I don't want to view it right now, file sharing still is viewable.
Also noticed: version 9.0 doesn't even allow you the option of temporarily turning off iTunes store. (Yuck.)
If these aren't fixed in future updates, is it possible to go back to better versions?

Not only for the iPhone reason but iTunes 9's wishlist is so crazy ugly and un-sortable. I miss the playlist style shopping cart a la iTunes 8. Is there anyone who has thought of any way to view that wishlist from the outside? Via the web, via an AIR app, etc?

MBP keyboard backlight turns off when itunes changes songs

Anyone else encountered this? I turned off all of my iTunes related plug-ins and add-ons and it still happens. Whenever the song changes or I play/pause iTunes, my backlight goes off. Is this a 'feature'?

That sounds rather odd. I always have Itunes on and it never happened to me, are you sure that it is not some weird coincidence? Is it only happening when you have iTunes on??

Screensaver turns off randomly

I have a problem with the screen saver turning off for no reason. I have a hot corner set and sometimes, not always, but sometimes when I come back in after turning the screen saver on, my desktop is up like I moved the mouse or something. I know I didn't since I hadn't been in the room. This doesn't happen all the time. Is there anything that would cause the system to get a signal like I moved the mouse to kick it out of screen saver mode?

If it is a BT mouse or an RF mouse, yes, it's possible.
Microwave Ovens, some cellphones, other RF devices use frequencies in the same range as BT devices and RF mice and keyboards.
Also be sure nothing is plugged into any USB of FW ports that might trigger the computer. A transient from a nearby vacuum cleaner or other similar device with a large motor might also be the problem. Not necessarily, but these are some of the possibilities.
Be sure you have all the wakeup items unchecked in Energy Saver prefs.
