I can't get my squeezebox to wirelessly connect to my WRT400N on the 5Ghz band. Is this possible, or does the Squeezebox not support the higher frequency.... Thanks,

    Hi,
Can some one help me with this issue.

I tried creating a playlist using phone and editing the same by music manager but still not able to play it dont get error message but nothing happens.
I can just put songs in the favorites and thats atmost i can do...
Please help me with the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mohit

STEP1:- You have to empty favourites first as follows:-
MUSIC LIBRARY > MY TRACKS > FAVOURITES > CLEAR TRACK LIST
( Now favourites is empty )
STEP2:- Select your desired songs and fill them in favourites as follows:-
Browse Artists or Album or Genere or Most played or Recently Added or Recently played or Never played -- and -- Select song and Add to favourites.
( Now favourites is filled with your desired songs)
Step3:- Save your playlist as follows:-
OPEN FAVOURITES > PLAY (songs) > OPTIONS > SHOW TRACKS > OPTIONS > SAVE AS PLAYLIST > Name your playlist > save(ok)
( Now your playlist is saved in "My Tracks" )
To play your playlist, you go to MUSIC LIBRAY > Track lists > My Tracks > NOW PLAY your playlist
( Now your playlist gets loaded in 5 seconds and starts playing )
(Note:- Kindly fill your desired songs not more than 25 to 35 in each playlist otherwise it will take much time for loading when you play. These playlists are advandced .m3u file playlists. .m3u file playlist is nothing but a kind of playlist consisting of mp3/acc/etc., format songs)
If you want to CREATE another YOUR OWN PLAYLIST, kindly do the above said 3 STEPS . You can create lots of playlists now. I hope that you are happy with this details.

  • Radio and music player switching with ipod nano 5G

With nano 5G how can i listen to the radio and then back to the music player where i have stopped before, without having to start all over again

I had the same issue with my 5g video awhile back. The computer wouldn't boot with the ipod connected as it was recognizing it as a HD and looking for an OS to load from it.
I solved the problem by going into my BIOS and removing "boot from removable media" from the boot list. I'd give that shot, though not all BIOSs have that as a change able option independently.
    -edit-
The specific computer I was having an issue on with this was an HP pavilion a1340n, but the BIOS I had installed was a custom cough*hacked*cough version I was using to install Vista and later 7.

  • Music player widgit with shuffle

i'm looking for a flash music player widgit that does the following:
    1) will shuffle songs, so that everytime someone visits my page with the player, the exact same song doesn't kick in.
    2) music will automatically start when you go to the page.
I have been using Nimbit's software widget as flash music player for my home page (folks can also purchase songs in the player). However, the fact that I can't reorder tracks without spending time making a whole new project for sale, or shuffle the songs is driving me nuts.
I've searched this iWeb message board, and found a variety of flash player widgets, but it is not clear if any of these shuffle tunes in the way I am desiring (i.e. new song from playlist with each visit).
    Thanks in advance.

The enhanced version of the JW player should be able to handled shuffle by adding - &shuffle=1 - into the code. I haven't tried it in this mode.
The player has a user selectable shuffle button also.
    See...

... where I am illustrating the autoplay function and also the much request autoresume function.

  • Looking for a Music Player App with FTP

I've been looking for a App that will play/stream  music files from
a FTP site (or personal cloud)
anybody seen an App  that does this?
    thanks!

Most cloud music players will only access their cloud folders, not
    an indépendant FTP folder.
I did find one that kinda works - DeadOn Player.
    but it's buggy and crashing.

  • Classical music in new iTunes

    Hello,
I like to buy classical music. But with iTunes 9.0, when I look at a titel, it is impossible for me to know the artists. As my English is catastropic, I'll give you an example: I just looked at "Requiem" by Verdi with Antonio Pappano as conductor. It is impossible for me to know who sings...
    What can I do?
    Sincerely
    Peter Weber

I can no longer sort by release date, which is about the only way you can find new albums from classical artists who have dozens of albums.
Try searching on "Marc-André Hamelin". You'll see he appears on ten different "Rarities of Piano Mu..." albums, but there's no way to distinguish them except by opening up each and every album. You can't sort the list by date.
Long winded and not obvious (iTunes, not you) select by Artist at the bottom of this list, after using the search box to find everything:
    !http://idisk.me.com/colinrobinson-Public/iTunes screen shots/Select Artist first.png"!
Then you can sort by Release Date:

Please send feedback to Apple about this:

  • Music Player S^3 artist&album

I recently got a C6-01 and am very happy with the phone overall. There are a few questions I have about the way the music player deals with the library though.
    1) Why do songs get categorised in the (Unknown/Unknown) category when the artist is known but the album isn't? This is rather annoying because there are quite a lot of tracks in the library that only have the artist information set, but they don't show up in the artist listing.
    2) Can I select to play all the songs from a particular artist (without creating a playlist out of them) regardless of the album info? Again this would be very helpful since some of the tracks won't have the album info, and sometimes I just want to listen to a particular artist and not care so much about which album the tracks are on.
Neither one of these should be a problem technically, so am I just missing some menu item to get it done or is it not possible?
    Thanks.

There are two "Artist" fields in the ID3 information in each track - a track artist and an album artist (this allows for compilation albums where a single singer or group did not make all of the tracks on the album), if some of these fields are not filled in, you may see strange things like this when viewing the tracks in the phone's music player. You can edit the track details in Ovi Player (they need to be copied to your PC, amended then compied back).

Presently, no. This is an omission from the S^3 music player that needs to be put right.

  • E7 Symbian Anna music player vs N8 PR1.2 music pla...

Does anyone here happen to have both the E7 (with Symbian Anna), as well as an N8 9with PR1.2)?
If so, can you do a comparison of the Anna music player compared to the poor default player of the N8?
Are there any noticeable UI differences at all, or have Nokia plainly just neglected the music player entirely with the Anna update? Are we destined to continue using such a broken piece of music software until further updates? Have Nokia ignored all feedback relating to the N8's music player, and failed to rectify the problems which plague it currently?
I think many people will agree that the music player on older Nokia handsets is far superior than that of the N8, so I am wondering whether they have listened to complaints and fixed the problems which were reported (Ie, a major gripe was having the Artists and Albums combined)
Any heads-up of what to expect with our N8 Anna update would be very useful!

Well for starters, how are songs organised on the E7? Are artists and albums still grouped together, or have Nokia split them up as they should be?
One of the main problems of the N8 music player is that multiple artists who share an album name (Ie, "Greatest Hits") seem to get grouped together under just one album title. Is this still true on the E7?
Also, how are compilation albums displayed? This has also been an issue on the N8, mainly because artists and albums have been grouped together, rather than separately as per older Nokia devices such as the N91, N82, N95, and N96
Does Anna on the E7 feature a graphical equaliser? This was something else which was missing from the N8, but present on previous handsets.
Have Nokia added an alphabetical search field for the music player, as promised? With split-screen QWERTY text entry, there is now no reason why this should not have been added
Little things like these. How does the E7 Anna software compare to the N8 PR1.2 software? Or have Nokia just blatantly ignored the music player entirely?

  • Skins for music player

Hey guys can i get any skins or visulisations for my music player??
And also is there any 3rd party appl for WMP11??

The "skin" on the n series music player changes with your current theme. It''s not possible to set it independently of that.
It is not possible to add your own visualisations.
It is not possible to put windows media player on the phone.
Other alternative players are available, like this one:

  • Am having problems with my Zeppelin music player and iPod classic. The Zeppelin, bought Dec '12, and the iPod, bought same time, used to work fine but now when I attach iPod to Zeppelin I get a message that says the iPod doesn't support the accesory!

I bought a Zeppelin music player and iPod classic in December 2012, and all went well until I last synched the iPod with iTunes, and now I get a message saying that the iPod doesn't recognise the attached accessory when I try to connect it to the Zeppelin. I did recently update to the latest iTunes version-could this be the problem, and if so how do I cure it? All help appreciated.

It's still charging when you plug it in. That just means it won't play music out the speaker. If that's what you were looking to do, they have speakers for iPods.

  • HT4972 Has anyone had issues with failure of the music player to launch after updating to OS5? My Gen 3 will no longer play music!

Has anyone had issues with failure of the music player to launch after updating to OS5? My Gen 3 will no longer play music!

    I think a few have.
    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

    Hi deamayfield,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your Music app is unresponsive, try restarting/resetting your iPhone:

  • I'm looking for a music player with the following features:

    Hi everyone,
I'm setting up a linux desktop for the first time. I'd like some directions on finding a music player. Here are my criteria, in order of importance:
      - Can play (at least) ogg, mp3 and wav
      - Prefers a 'playlist approach' (m3u) to a 'media library' approach
      - Can play songs without breaks in-between
      - Fast startup
      - Simple interface (ex. VLC beats mplayer)
My window manager is pekwm. This is for usability reasons, not performance reasons - my comp. can handle all the bells and whistles you throw at it (actually, I tried with my doorbell, but I wouldn't recommend with the church bell). (sorry for the bad humour). Crazy visualisations and features whose sole purposes are to eat up CPU cycles are O.K.
Good support for keyboard would be appreciated - I am a pekwm user.
    So what have you got?

MPD rocks, runs here for months without major problems.
The client side is very flexible, you can choose many players:
    http://www.musicpd.org/clients.shtml
    For X, for console, etc..
    Edit:
MPD supports Icecast also, to create streams.

  • Having problems with my music player on my iPad with the new io7

Downloaded the new io7 on my iPad mini. Now I have problems with the music player not letting me download songs onto my iPad, then closing out the app. Then on iTunes it shows up in the downloads tab and comes up as an error and still won't download. At this point I'd rather have the old io6. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Did you install the latest driver set for the device?  there is a new release on motu.com for mavericks.

  • Problem with the Ipod Touch Music Player

Hi, I recently got an iPod touch 3g (8 gig) around christmas, and its been a truly great buy and worked flawlessly. However just recently I started having issues with the iPod's music player.
Ever since last night, I noticed that when I use the music player, and try to move 'FORWARD' a song (IE the double forward arrow button) the arrow would stay white like I was pressing it, NOT move forward a song, the screen would be unresponsive as the current song played, and then after 2-3 seconds the music player would crash and go back to the home screen.
I know it was a crash because when I went back to the music player, it was reset back to the 'Shuffle' option with the list of songs below it (usually, it leaves off on the last song you were listening to.)
I also noticed, that even if I just listened to a song completely without hitting forward, it would STILL freeze up and crash to home screen once the song was finished, even if I DIDN'T press anything.
But apparently the double back arrow (rewind/back) works without crashing it.
So my question is: what can I do to fix this? I already tried restarting my iPod (by holding the top and home buttons for 10 seconds) and it did not solve this. I always keep my iPod charged up, and I can't think of ANYTHING I did yesterday or recently at all to cause this problem....I generally only use the iPod touch for music or internet browsing.
    any help appreciated..
    -Ben
