I want a PDA like device, but need it to interface to my Mini...but here's the wrinkle...my music is a playlist on my husband's windows based Itunes. I listen to about 10% of his music. So can I have my music from his I-tunes, and my contacts and calendar from my Mac Mini? Will the Touch function from both sources, or will it expect to find and use I-tunes (which is empty) on my Mini?

Well basically you can just go into your iTunes files on Windows, This should be under Music - iTunes - iTunes Music. If not search "iTunes Music" on your windows machine.
then simply copy and paste all your music onto a pen drive. unfortunately playlists are not displayed as a folder so you would have to just choose your albums etc.
After you have your music on your Mac, add it to your iTunes library, if you made purchases on iTunes using another iTunes account that's not your own, you can simply authorize your own account, iTunes will ask you if there are any.

Simple way to get a photo onto the Touch?

Is there any way--including 3rd party app--to get a single photo, or a few pics, onto the Touch? Sometimes I just want to get something on the Touch without the bother of adding it to iPhoto or creating a dedicated folder, copying the pic to it, manually designating that folder in iTunes, etc.
In this case, I have a picture of a menu I found online, and I want to be able to reference it to call in an order when I'm out. Since I can't count on available wifi to retrieve it, I'd like to easily get it onto the Touch for when I need it.

Does it cost money to use Safari on the Touch?

Hey guys, I went to the apple store and played wit the touch for a little bit and i tried out the Safari feature and it was awesome, i was able to go to any site i wanted to without a problem, it just seems like its too easy, i kno the wifi is free but does the Safari cost money when u use it, is it like a phone that charges u for bytes transfered or w.e?

Some access points do charge. Apple Stores provide free wireless internet. Some public places do as well. Some (e.g. Starbucks, many large hotel chains) charge for internet access. There is no charge to use Safari +per se+. In some cases (Starbucks is like this) you can connect to the wireless access point (i.e. your IPT or laptop will show you as connected) but you need to open a browser for a page to pop up so you can pay for access.

I have had to erase my disk since then with trouble with Apple Store not recognising my machine and the reload from Time Machine has given complications . Can you please cancel my trial and return my Trial money.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

The last add-on i installed for Firefox was "Fox Filter" so my kids couldn't accidentally stumble onto sites of immoral tastes. I can't see why that would have any effect, but it was the last update/add-on i installed to the browser, but even then,.......it was working fine for a week and a half afterwards until now. Please help.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
If you detect a faulty add-on, you should contact its author for support. You can also search for alternatives. Site filters are relatively common in the add-ons gallery: [http://addons.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org].

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

It might have happened when I was accessing my camera bypassing the lock screen!
All I know is that the thing is now useless and it looks like I will have to wait for the battery to run down to see if powering it back up afterwards will solve the problem.

I have since discovered the "hold down home key and power button" together for a few seconds and this seems to have worked .... phew!

I'm using iPod touch for a year now. It was doing fine this morning but in the afternoon suddenly when I took it out of my bag, the screen was just black and it wouldn't turn on and stuff. So I thought it didn't have battery so I charged it didn't work. I plugged to the computer and it said iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before in can be used with iTunes.
Maybe my bag was little wet today but i don't think that is why.. since it wasn't that bed.. just some paper was wet and stuff..
