Is the trial version reflective of the real application?

I have downlaoded the trail version and find that the application is VERY SLOW at undertaking commands and not in the same league as the speed of Excel for Mac. Is the poor response time I am experiencing (major) because I am don't have an Intel processor or is it refective of the application that the response time is just pants?

The trial is all the software, no difference. If you buy the CD later just enter the License number, no need to reinstall.
Undo is a feature of the software including Numbers so save regularly if making many changes to lower the memory use. Closing then reopening the program also frees up memory.
I'm using iWork on a PPC G4 iBook without a problem as long as I remember to save often.
Keep playing and have fun with it. There's far more to the software than expected so please give yourself time to learn what is possible.
Last but not least Take off your Word and Excel hat first.

  • Can PSE 13 be installed over the trial version or should the trial version be uninstalled first.

I have just completed the trial version of PSE 13 and in the fulness of time I will be purchasing the boxed version of the software. When it comes to installing it do I need to uninstall the trial version first please.
Sorry if this seems a dumb question but the only way I will know is by asking.

    Hi,
You can convert the trial version to a licensed version by just supplying the serial number when you buy it - no need to uninstall/install.

  • How do I add my serial number to the trial version?

How do I add my serial number to the trial version?
Downloaded the trial version of CS6, purchased it, and now I'm trying to add the serial number, but don't know where to enter it.

On the Trial page , where it shows "x" days left.
On bottom you will find a button "License this software " , click on that and follow the onscreen instruction.

  • CS6 has been converted from the upgrade I bought to a trial version.  What the heck is going on.

I upgraded from CS5 to CS6 for my IMac.  I downloaded CS6 and out in my serial number and it worked fine for a number of weeks.  Suddenly when I went to use it it said it was a trial version.  I had to register it to use my CS6   I registered it and it worked,  but only as a Trial Version of CS6 Extended. I do not want CS6 Extended.  I deleted the trial version of CS6 Extended from my hard drive and once again downloaded my upgrade of CS6 and put in my serial number and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Today, once again, it tells me it is a trial version and will not load unless I register the trial version. What the heck is going on? This is crazy.  I simply want to use CS6, for which I paid. Help!

    Thanks!

Its a bug that came with the latest update. The developers know about it and will fix it as soon as they get back from christmas vacation. Lots of us (inluding some of the developers) are suffering the same problem.

  • I just bought CC and the trial version of LR5 asks for a serial number...?

I just bought CC and the trial version of LR5 asks for a serial number...?

If you mean will you lose the work you've done in the trial version: no, you shouldn't.
Ideally, before you remove the trial version, back up the catalog.  Go to Edit menu (in LR), Catalog settings... and click "Show", which will take you to the folder containing the catalog (for Windows, don't know about Mac).  Make a note of that folder location, and preferably take a copy somewhere.
When you've installed the CC version (as BKKDon says), if the CC version doesn't open the existing catalog, go to File menu, Open Catalog... and take it to the existing catalog.

  • Does the trial version of photoshop elements 12 let you process multiple pictures?

Does the trial version of photoshop elements 12 let you process multiple pictures?

Do you mean Process Multiple Files? The trial version is exactly the same as the regular version, only it stops working after 30 days.

  • Can I use the trial version commercially?

I've been hired to create illustrations for a book that will be published by a large publisher (who of course have a license themselves). I, however, only have a trial version. My questions are:
    1. Can I create the illustrations and have the publisher legally use them commercially "through their license", or do I need to purchase a license myself?
    2. Do I need to purchase a license in order to legally use the trial version commercially in the first place?
The person I spoke with from the publisher knew surprisingly little about this, and I want to make sure.
    Thank you for your time.

Actually that's not entirely true - it depends on what you want to do with it.  Per Adobe's CC Terms of Use (the software licensing agreement):
    (a) Evaluation Version. We may designate the Software or Services as “trial”, “evaluation”, “not for resale”, or other similar designation (“Evaluation Version”). You may install and use the Evaluation Version only during the evaluation period and only for evaluation purposes. You must not use any materials you produce with the Evaluation Version for anything other than non-commercial purposes.
(It was also that way for CS6 and before.)

  • Abap trial version - see a web dynpro application from an external network

    Hi gurus,
I'm testing web dynpro using SAP Netweawer 7.01 trial version.
I would like to show a web dypro application to someone that is not in my local network.
    If the URL generated is
    http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<zapplication>
visible from my notebook, what should be the URL visible from someone that is not me?
Is it possible? Or I'am too optimistic?
    Thanks
    Guido

    >I think you can not run the Application of trial version from other Systems .
Sure you can.  The URL that gets generated is for localhost.  This allows for access to the trial system from the local laptop only - but bypassing the Fully Qualified Domain Name check. You can alter this setting by changing the icm/hostname_full instance profile parameter. You should change this to a fully qualified domain name that is registered for the machine that the system is installed on within your DNS.  The rest is up to how you have your machine configured on the network. In some networks, workstation names are not registered into DNS and you would have to setup a hosts file entry for the IP address of the trial version system onto the client you want to connect from.  Other networks do allow the hostname of all client machines to register into their DNS.  You would have to check and see how your particular network is setup.

  • Because of the trial version of Photoshop CC my laptop crashes, will this also happen with the "real" version?

    Hi everybody,
Before I'm going to install Photoshop CC, I decided to install the trial version first. But my laptop became very slowly after that and even crashed ones.
I really liked working with Photoshop CC, but I'm afraid that this will happen with the real version as well.
    Do you think it will?
    Thank you for your answer!

    You can also try :
    Photoshop CC crashes on launch...
Re: Why does Photoshop CC keep crashing when I select save or save as?
Photoshop CC is crashing a lot on my system
CC Applications crash immediately after launch
    It has valuable resources.

Transitioning from the trial version to the final cut version. Does the trial just turn into the final cut pro real version? I want to download it before the 30 days are up but I dont want to lsoe my video? HELP!

Yes! As long as you don't delete your project files/library, you'll be fine.  When you install the full version, it might create a new library, go to your movies folder or wherever your current library is and just double click it to open it.

The current version being sold is 10.1. It is substantially different from your trial version. Read here to get started with the new version

  • Installing the Trial Version On vista

I cannot get the trial version to install on vista..
What should I be doing to get it to work..?
    Thx.

    'Fraid not.
Your best bet is either to "Downgrade" your VISTA system to XP  or install XP (or even windows 2000) as a Virtual Machine.
If you decide to "downgrade" your system to XP again ensure you have the correct Disk drivers before you start as newer machines (and laptops) will have SATA controllers so Windows XP install will give you a message "No Hard disks found". You can load the driver by pressing F6 at Windows Install Time  but only if you have a floppy drive.
You'll get a message like please press F6 if you want to add a Storage controller. You'll then get prompted to insert the floppy disk containing the driver.
Too Bad if you haven't got a floppy drive.
On some machines a USB floppy drive will work but why go and buy a piece of obsolete hardware when you don't need to).
The only way round this problem if you don't have a floppy drive is to "Slipstream" the SATA drivers on to a Windows XP CD. This will then load the correct drivers without prompting for a floppy disk.
How to do this is beyond the scope of this post but Googling for "Slipstreaming Windows" will find you the answer.
You can get FREE software for creating Virtual machines either at http://www.virtualbox.org or download the vmware server from the vmware site.
The Abap Trial version works  quite well on a 512KB Virtual machine running Windows XP.
Incidentally OT but I think VISTA is a real pile of dog poo. I've gone back to W2K3 server. A much better product all round IMO even on a laptop.
(You can usually pick up a student edition of W2K3 server Standard Edition somewhere at low or zero cost so it's a better and cheaper bet than Windows XP Pro).
You can make W2K3 server "work station friendly" including installing acceleration, multi-media, games, themes etc quite easily by following the instructions at this link
    http://win2k3.msfn.org/
    Cheers.
