or still we need to configure webutil in Devsuite 10g same like Devsuite 9i ?

Chrirag,
Webutil is not part of Developer Suite 10g. The plan is to support the WebUtil production release with Patch1 of Forms (which may be out soon for Solaris). This however can slip by a wee or two. The production release of WebUtil will be posted on OTN for download first and then bundled with the Developer Suite 2 in teh seocnd patch.

I am attempting to run the wu_test form, downloaded with demos for webutil 1.02.
Running wu_test or another form containing webutil functions results in
FRM-92101 in the form's window and the following error in the OC4J console.

I have scoured OTN & MetaLink & tried everything I could find with no luck. I
apologize for the length of this post, but I want to provide as much information
as possible re: what I've tried and my environment.
For instance, the remedy in Note 252600.1, which can cause these symptoms, did
not help.
This note states:
In webutil.cfg modify
install.syslib.location to an absolute URL, replacing the line:
install.syslib.location=/webutil
To an absolute URL like:
install.syslib.location=http://[host]:[port]/forms90/webutil
(replacing [host] and [port] with your own values) or
install.syslib.location=//../webutil
Other Information:
Other forms (ones that don't contain webutil functions/beans) run fine with the same
env and config used for webutil.
The wu_test form is already set up so first navigation item is not on the
webutil canvas, but on the "demo" canvas.

most of the time this means that your webutil.pll isn't good attached but it is very dependant on the versions you working on.
Post your versions of forms ias and webutil.
In older version it is sometimes necessary to first subclass the webutil group and then attach the webutil.pll. Other way around didn't work (was in beta version 1.02 I believe)

Problem while configuring webutil on oracle application server 10g(9.0.4)

I have configured webutil with oracle application server 10g(9.0.4).JInitiator 1.3.1.17 is installed.
I did everything according to webutil manual.Then i developed a form using developer suit 10g (9.0.4).
and successfully compiled and attached webutil library.then i subclass
webutil object group from webutil.olb into my form,that is also
subclassed successfully.Form has also been compiled and saved
successfully.
also configured my formsweb.cfg,forms90.conf,default.env according to webutil documentation.

Webutil Problem in Oracle Forms 10g

Hi All,
been reading various posts over time on the forums but this is the first time for me to post here.
My name is george an i am a novice forms developer.(very novice i would say )
i am in the process of altering an existing form, and i am trying to add webutil functionality to the form.
i am succesfull getting webutil to run but i get some weired behaviour from the form, and in more detail i get the 40200 error.
the error only appears after the usage of webutil in the form and this prevents the user from entering a query string in a text item (actually it is when the user tries to type in the text box that oracle throws the 40200).
i am able to get around this problem, by moving the WEBUTIL DATA BLOCK at the end of the DATA BLOCKS tree. The form once more works as it should (queries etc) only that the webutil window and canvas are displayed on the top of my form (i.e webutil about form) and the user has to click OK to get rid of it.
i have tried to hide the webutil window, the webutil canvas but i am unsuccesful.
any ideas of how to keep the webutil data block at the end of the data block tree but not appearing in front of the form ??

Oracle Forms is Heirarchical. It uses the order in which items appear in the Object Navigator as the "Default" navigation order. Items like WebUtil should always appear after other objects (such as Data Blocks, Canvases and Windows). Making sure objects are listed in the right order in the Object Navigator is typically all you need to do, however, you could use the Form Module First Navigation Data Block property to override the default heirarchy (as MLBrown suggests) as well as write code in a When-New-Form-Instance trigger to Hide the WebUtil canvases and direct the form to the desired starting point (first navigation block/item).
I personally, prefer to use the order of objects in the Object Navigator since this does not require any lines of code or the setting of properties.
On a side note, it is always good to post your Forms version (eg: 10.1.2.0.2 versus 10g) when posting a Forms question. :)

Problem after installing Oracle DevSuite 10g on Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi All,
I have successfully installed Oracle DevSuite 10g on Windows 7 -64 bit machine.
But when I open the existing .rdf file which is having around 3MB file... report builder is getting closed automatically. And the same is working for the .rdf file having just 100 KB file.
Can anyone please guide me thru?

None of these say windows -7 patch. Its only for windows 32 bit.

How do I make the webutil file transfer works correctly?

I've created a database user, executed the create_webutil_db.sql , and created a table as below:

I can upload the file to the database, and download the file.
However, the file being downloaded is corrupted. I don't know why this will happen. I've tried to rebuild the form, re-attach the webutil library, rebuild the database users and tables, but all these doesn't work.

1 Can u try running the sample form available from OTN (WU_TEST) and check whether it works

Webutil configuration for jre, Forms 10g in windows 7 application server

hi all,
we are recently upgraded the application server with new os windows7. and clients ae also upgraded with windows7.
we are using forms 10g(developer suite 10g). and installed jre6 instead of jinitiator and did the all needful changes in formsweb.cfg. and ialready installed ofiice-2003(for excel)
but we are unable to run reports in excel format*. while we select the repotr type is exel in list item
and click ok button the following error is coming

In webutil directory structure,there r four folders,
{color:#0000ff}doc
java
server
webutil{color}
and there are three files.
{color:#0000ff}webutil.pll,webutil.old and create_webutil_db
{color}
In webutil mannual,it is written that we should extract this folder to forms90.
But in forms90, there are {color:#0000ff}server and java folders.
{color:#000000}should i replace forms90's sever and java folder with webutil's server and java folder?
what should i do for this ?

They are some ole objects in the forms.
while migrating using form migration tool.... it is giving a message that OLE built in's are obsolete...
What i need to do in 10g to replace OLE's functionality????

Its not available any more. We are rebuilding this as part of SQL Developer and in the meantime we have withdrawn access to this.

I had a query that is Oracle application server a part of Oracle 10g installation? I get this doubt because isqlplus which runs on port 5560 by default has a web interface.

Hi, I bought the new Itouch 5 recently, i'm just wondering how can i delete the applications in the "Updates" tab at the lower right part when you open the App Store? I just want to delete the applications that i've already deleted but it seems that it is still posted at the "updates" tab ad i can't delete it. Please i need your help. Thank you for those who will reply.

Try turning off & on your iPod (sorry if that sounds dumb, but it might work)
Or, since that's a matter of not refreshing, turn off your wifi& reconnect

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

It's likely your fan, It always runs on a MBA. Mine is very quiet, others report some noise - here is one link. There are lots of others.
