Is the wireless WoW Headset incompatible with a PC wired 360 Controller?

I recently purchased the World of Warcraft Wireless headset. While it's a great headset, and is pretty much what I was looking for quality wise, i've been having a problem with it that I can't seem to fix on my own.
Whenever I connect a wired PC type (USB) 360 controller to my PC, no sound comes from the speakers on the headset. If the headset is currently playing a song, or a sound, the sound will stop mid-file as well.
I checked the sound settings through the control panel, and the headset is listed as the output for all sound, however the headset is not outputting sound.
Disconnecting the controller appears to allow sound to continue playing from the headset, making me wonder if this is a driver or hardware compatibility issue i'm experiencing.
This is a problem since a few of the games I like to play are best played with the controller, and a few are pretty much unenjoyable otherwise. Any advice on getting this fixed would be greatly appreciated. I currently have a ticket filed, but haven't gotten a response back yet, so I figured i'd post here just to be safe in case someone had found a solution already.

Jeroen222,

    Hi,
From the 10.1.2 BI Beans Install Guide it says:
OracleBI Beans supports data stored in Oracle9i Enterprise Edition or Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition. However, only particular releases and patchsets are supported:
    * Oracle9i Release 2 Enterprise Edition, as follows:
    o 9.2.0.6 for all platforms.
o 9.2.0.5 with the latest OLAP patch for Windows-only.
    * Oracle Database 10g Release 1 Enterprise Edition with the latest OLAP patch.
From the error message it would appear that the Database is not one of the above.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please note that we have follwing versions of DB up and running:-
    1)Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options
    2)Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
With the Partitioning and Real Application Clusters options
    JServer Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
Pls let us know the solution to resolve this problem ASAP.
    Thanks.

You are not using a supported version of the database. BI Beans/OLAP only support the following database versions:
    10g - 10.1.0.3 with additional OLAP patch
    9i - 9205 with additional OLAP patch
    9i - 9206
I would suggest that you have not applied all the required database patches to your instance.
    Hope this helps

2009 MacBook Pro eh? It looks like your hard drive has failed. Three years is pretty standard. Often, then only hint you have is catastrophic failure.
If you put the old hard drive into an external enclosure or similar device, you may still be able to migrate your data from it. Just because it won't boot doesn't mean you can't still read from it. Still, I wouldn't keep trying it. As long as you are buying a new hard drive, may as well get sometime to use with Time Machine too.

  • Wireless wow headset

hello, bought the wireless headset, and got it today,
though, things do not work out the way i wanted them to go
after opening the box and installing the headset, usb port installed, headset on the charge cable,
went to the website the quick start manual told me to do, installed the required programs,
though, there is no sound at all from my headset,
it is configurated to my computer, even shows that sound is playing, it just does not give sound at all
I do like the shiny headset, dislike that i have to try and read up for a few hours already before getting here,
what to do with it, and in case this keeps going on, is there a way to get my money back?

  • Does The Sony Smart Headset Work With All Phones

Seeing as the Sony Smart Headset MH1-c is a CTIA based headset, it should work with all other phones right? I just want someone to confirm that it can work with the Samsung Galaxy S3.

That standard is for the headphone jack but as this is a Bluetooth device that is irrelevant when looking for handset compatibility. Please check the bottom of the page here for a full compatibility list:

  • Subroutine-the actual parameter is incompatible with the formal parameter

    Hi,
I have the following code that is outputting an error message during activation:
DATA: I_RESBB TYPE TABLE OF RESBB,
          WA_RESBB TYPE RESBB.
    PERFORM OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA
    USING I_RESBB.
    *&      Form  OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA
    *       text
    *      -->P_I_RESBB  text
FORM OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA  USING    VALUE(P_I_RESBB) TYPE RESBB.
    ENDFORM.                    " OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA
However, I am getting the following messages during activation:
In PERFORM or CALL FUNCTION "OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA", the actual parameter
"I_RESBB" is incompatible with the formal parameter "P_I_RESBB".
What am I doing wrong? I have checked through many different threads & sites but can't find a solution.
    Thanks,
    John

John, since you seem quite familiar with the ABAP help and obsolete statements I'm now surprised what you were initially asking for.. .
Anyhow, below a sample coding with the table being passed as a USING parameter. Avoid using VALUE on the parameter (i.e. pass by value) unless you need a copy of the parameter. Otherwise this leads to a performance overhead (requirement to copy the parameter), especially for large internal tables.
TYPES T_RESBB_TAB TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF RESBB WITH NON-UNIQUE DEFAULT KEY.
    DATA I_RESBB TYPE T_RESBB_TAB.
    PERFORM OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA USING I_RESBB.
    FORM OBTAIN_RESBB_DATA  USING I_RESBB TYPE T_RESBB_TAB.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <RESBB> TYPE LINE OF T_RESBB_TAB.
      LOOP AT I_RESBB ASSIGNING <RESBB>.
" Additional coding for evaluating/updating the table
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDFORM.
    Cheers, harald
P.S.: Update of my posting: Just read your one comment. Looks like your only problem was attempting to define the table type in the parameters section of the form routine. This doesn't work. If you don't have a type you could use a generic type (i.e. simply just say <i>using i_resbb type table</i>), but in general I would stick to strong typing unless you have a generic routine that must handle different table types. So simply refer to a table type from dictionary or that you defined in your program.

  • Problem with the wireless speed on windows with bootcamp

I've got a problem with the following:
the wireless card of my mac pro is very slow when i run windows on my mac pro with bootcamp
When i just run OSX everything works fine, but in windows, when I connect to the wireless my wireless speed
    drops to 11-18mbs.
First I thought that it was a drivers issue, but after the update of bootcamp drivers 1.4 the problem still exist.
First I had a Topcom wireless router now I've bought a Apple Airport Extreme, but the problem isn't solved yet...
The router isn't 2 meters away from my mac.
And the wireless speed is fine when i connect with my dads windows laptop...
Does anyone has a solution? using a cable isnt a solution for me because in September I will move with my mac pro one floor down.

You might want to ask this in the Boot Camp forums. As your wireless work fine under Mac OS X it sounds to be a software issue as opposed to a hardware one which means as Windows users they'll better be able to help.

  • Why is the new Firefox upgrade incompatible with my Mac now??

I love using Firefox, it's by far my favorite browser. But when I opened it this morning, it says I am no longer protected because of the older version I'm using. • Is the MSI NX6600LE TD256E incompatible with MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard ?

    Hello people,
I have a very ugly problem here. I have an MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard here, that with PCI Express and AGP slots.
It was working fine for a while, so I dont think the mainboard itself is bad.
Originally, an Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache, was installed on that computer. However, in the past week the owner buyed a copy of Battlefield 2 to have some fun, he also buyed an MSI NX6600LE TD256E PCI Express graphic card to replace the Inno3D Geforce 6200 with Turbo Cache.
I got that PC here today, in order to install the new MSI Graphic card, and also install the game. Now comes the ugly part: I cannot get that card to work in that computer, and I don't know why.
At first I thought that the card was defective, so I took it out of that PC and installed it on my own PC, and the card works in my PC (see signature), and my PC's graphics card works fine on the other PC (the K8N Neo3). Even the old Inno3D card works fine.
Since the card works fine in my PC (I've used it while writing this post), and my PC's graphic card works fine in the other PC, as well as the old Inno3D card, the only thing left for me to think is that the NX6600LE TD256E card is not compatible with the K8N Neo3 board, but that seems too strange for me.
Can any one here tell me if there's some kind of compatibility problems between the MSI K8N Neo3 mainboard and the MSI NX6600LE TD256 Graphic card ?
    Any help is welcome,

    Update:
The card is compatible with the board. What was incompatible with the card, was a little chip in the board (fried) which I didn't noticed during the first inspection of the board.
Curious thing is that it accepted other cards and not the NX6600LE, but in the end, not even my own NX6600 card, or any other PCIe card worked at all. I guess the little chip suffered some kind of damage due to power problems in the place where the computer was. With this in mind, an electrical technician will be sent to the place to verify the electrical installations for problems of any kind, so we can correct them and prevent future problems.
Back to the board thing,  a new K8N Neo4-F board has taken the place of the semi-toasted K8N Neo3 board. Also, and thanks to the hibrid design of the K8N Neo3, we will still be able to use it. The PCIe slot is dead for sure, but the AGR Slot still works well, so we'll use it for traditional desktop aplications, such as word processors, internet surfing, e-mail, document scanning and printing, etc, etc, etc...
Well, that's all. I just wanted you guys to know; so no one keeps looking for an an answer to this (now solved) mystery. For me this case is now closed, so if no one is interested into it, Admins... feel free to delete the entire thread
    Be well you all,
    Edwin

  • Why are Sony headsets incompatible with Apple hardware?

    Hello,
Close to one year ago, I had to get my iPod touch 2G replaced due to a defective headphone jack. One staff member at the Apple store told me that Sony, Skullcandy, and some other brands of headphones have a slightly larger plug which wrecks the jack on iPods over time because Sony and Skullcandy (among other brands) have headphone jacks that are just slightly larger than the others. This seems like a reasonable explanation to me.
What I'm wondering is: is this slightly larger jack size exclusive to only a few brands, or does it extend to all brands except Apple's own earbuds? (which would be ridiculous) Secondly, why does this problem occur with ALL Apple hardware, including their computers? (My iMac G5 has the same issue my old iPod touch did.) Do the engineers at Apple not realize that Sony headphones are the choice of not only many home users, such as myself, but also many respected creative professionals around the world? Seeing how Apple hardware is used extensively by these "creative" professionals, such as musicians and music producers, what exactly is the reasoning for making Apple hardware incompatible with these jack sizes? Is there any work around for this incompatibility, such as some kind of headphone adapter I can pick up at Radio Shack?
Since I know that some users here will inevitably believe that I am thick-headed enough to confuse 1/4" jack with the 3.5mm variety, allow me to make it explicitly clear that I am not trying to somehow use a 1/4" jack with my iPod! (that is not even physically possible...)
Also, if anyone knows where I could contact Apple for some sort of official statement of this matter, I would be quite grateful.

    Well it doesn't to me.
What I'm wondering is: is this slightly larger jack size exclusive to only a few brands, or does it extend to all brands except Apple's own earbuds?
In which case, that would suggest that the Apple jack is smaller than every other make, not that everyone else has a larger "plug". But I don't accept "a difference in size" as any sort of explanation. In fact, I think such an explanation is complete rubbish!
Other than that, I agree with Kappy, why would you post a problem about a Sony product on an Apple forum?
What can happen though, is that the back end headphone plug (the bit you grip to remove the plug) can be pushed against other objects when the iPod is in your pocket or bag and then the business end of the plug (the front bit that goes into the socket) is levered over, pushing the headphone jack over as well, and that causes the connection between the socket and the circuit board to break. Hence the problem.
The solution (to minimise the risk of broken headphone jacks) is to ensure that the plug cannot be pushed over while it's in your bag or pocket. I purchased a right-angled 3.5mm adaptor (http://www.keene.co.uk/electronics/multi.php?mycode=KA178) which reduces strain on the socket. In additon, do not leave the plug inserted with the headphone cord wrapped tight around the device when you're not using it, because once again, that will strain the connection inside the iPod.

  • I have a Airport Extreme that is dropping the wireless signal alot (several times a day). The green light will go amber but the internet service (ethernet cable) will still be fine. The wireless icon on devices with go away.

I have a Airport Extreme that is dropping the wireless signal alot (several times a day) The green light will go amber, but the internet service is still ok if your using an ethernet cable directly plugged in. When the light goes amber all devices that is using wireless will lose there wireless icon. The only way to get the green light back is to unplug the Airport device and replug it back in. I tried the reset on the back but still no luck. What is the fix?

Let's see if I can get this straight.
You have an Airport Extreme base station that is set to "Create a wireless network" and you have the box checked for "allow this network to be extended"....
Then you have an Airport Express that is set to "Extend a wireless network" which you selected the name of your network in the box...
    Correct?
    See this Apple document:

The wireless unit on the right of the diagram can be either of the newer Apple base stations.

I can't seem to get Lookout to work using a COMM RS232 connection to our Dart controller. When using a term program, i'll send the command RV1,0,6 and get the response 1000,0005. I set up the ASCII object in Lookout with the following:
    SEND=Pb5
    RequestFormat="%s"
    ResponseFormat="%s" (and many other combinations)
    RQV1.TXT=TextEntry1
for TextEntry1 I enter RV1,0,6 and I always get that dang response format error!
    Any suggestions? Obvious goofs?

What's the Expression you're inserting to read back the response? If you're using just RSV1, you'll get the error. Try RSV1.txt.
For troubleshooting purposes, delete all RSV expressions and the ResponseFormat connection and insert just an Expresssion on ASCII1.Response (where ASCII1 is your Object). This will give you the raw ASCII frame coming in. Then you can start formatting this raw response with appropriate ResponseFormat and RSVs.
    Hope this helps,
