Is their a way to log whether interactive logons have taken place

Hi Gurus,
We need to change the service userID to System type, and ensure that all functionality continues to work in Production systems. (The userID embedded into RFC connections)
Before changing the user type for the userid I would like to know if there is any way to log whether interactive logons have taken place for the Service user.
We need to ensure that everything works when the userID is changed to System.
Please let me know if there is any to see the log for the service user which had interactive logons.

Yes salman, you need to create profile and then activate it.
In SM18 you can define the days for which you want to keep the logs it depends on the company policy and size of log
In SM19 Activate the profile required for audit log like for all users you can activate only critical events while for critical users select all events.SM20 you will just use for the reading the logs. (if required)

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes and make an new library. Will it open then? If so, you have a bad library. With the new library import the library.xml version of the file in your iTunes folder. This will make it 90% like before (some metadata are not identical, but I don't know which ones).

No. It can only be tracked with Find my iPod.

Our MDT task sequence prompts a user to enter their credentials to access the deployment share and see the task sequences to choose from.
Is this already logged somewhere, or anyone have any clever ways of producing that information?

Is there any way to log in to active directory from a mac without joining the AD domain?

I am looking for a way to log in to active directory without having the Mac join the AD domain. Basically i have not been able to understand all the ramifications of joining the AD domain. From what I have read in various documentations on the apple site and some of the AD plug in sites, it seems that if the mac joins the domain, all kinds of group policies get 'transfered' to the mac experience. How exactly does that affect the privileges of the local mac user on their machine? do they need to change their mac password? what happens to their existing home directories? what happens when they have their laptops at home?

Unfortunately, the source for answers should be your IT department. I can tell you how my machine works. I have a personal machine with no restrictions and a work machine bound to an Active Directory domain. Even my work machine has few restrictions compared to normal. I have a privileged account I can use if necessary. Also, I'm pretty much a goody-two-shoes so I don't try to circumvent restrictions.
Basically, the Mac uses a system called Open Directory to manage user accounts. Every Mac comes with its own miniature Open Directory server. If you have a network with MacOS X Server, you can use the server's Open Directory. You can also use Microsoft's Active Directory to perform all the same tasks. The user's logins and passwords would be whatever is on Active Directory. They can change their password on the Mac and it will change the Active Directory password. Active Directory can enforce passwords expirations too.
I am not an Active Directory administrator, so I can't give you specifics. Pretty much everything you have mentioned can be controlled via Active Directory. That is what it is for. It does require active participation of your IT staff. If you don't have that, then I don't see it working out well. It sounds like a paradox. IT wants to control users, but doesn't want to deal with it. You can't have it both ways. Maybe let it be known among the Mac users that visiting those restricted sites could cause IT to get rid of Mac altogether. That does sound like a probable outcome.

If you had Find My iPhone turned on on the iPod, then log into icloud.com on a computer and click on the Find My iPhone app. Click on your device, and then click on Lost Mode. That will allow you to put in a Lock Code as well as a message if you wish.

BUt it will not disable it totally. Apple took that away with iOS6. There is no way to totally disable Game Center beyond only purchasing non- Game Center games.
And I've even found that some games will not honor you signing out. For example Angry Birds Seasons will log me back into Game Center, even if I log out, even if I disable the account in the game, the next time the game starts back up it signs me back in.

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.

Is there a way to create an interactive form without Acrobat

Bottom line, is there a way to create an interactive form that can either be filled out and saved, or "submitted" with a mailto: button without having to buy a copy of acrobat too.
I have found numerous tutorials and examples, but everytime I try I run into the "action is not supported" error from adobe reader. Ironically, I have not problems saving a filled out form with OSX preview, but that won't work for PC users.
It seems like Adobe missed a step or is just forcing users to buy a secondary product to "re-save" a file with a form.

Safari>Preferences>Advanced. Check Show develop menu in the menu bar. Empty the cache from there.

Here i tried to set a Custom Property "*-Duser.dir=E:/MyDirectory*" through the Admin Console.
NOTE: Setting any Option like JAVA_OPTIONS/CLASSPATh etc through Admin Console will work only when you start your Servers using the NodeManager. It means when you start your ManagedServers through AdminConsole...or Using nodeManager based WLST scripts.

In Numbers 3.2, you can do lots of things with Page Headers and Footers in Print Preview. Move them to the (paper) edge - if your printer will handle that .
Then bring up the Fonts window (in Print Preview, Menu > Format > Fonts > Show Fonts) and have a play:
Or leave them blank. With zero position on the (paper) page, they will probably be in the non-printing margins anyway .
