Is their a way to use the T-Mobile Blackberry with the new iMac w/Intel?
Hello Everyone,
I have the T-Mobile Blackberry and am trying to get it to sync to the new iMac with Intel, 10.4.6 OS. It never shows up on my computer when I plug it in. I have tried it in Bluetooth mode as well as serial and USB and nothing.
I have also downloaded pocketmac. Pocketmac with GoBetween to sync with Entourage and nothing works.
I guess my main questions are, is there something I am missing, a program or feature that needs to be installed to get the T-mobile Blackberry to work? Or, should I switch to the Treo?
Any help would be truly appreciated as I have been working on this for weeks, searching websites, contacting Pocketmac support and absolutely no one has a solution.

It all depends upon your Treo. Generally speaking, all Palm devices are supported 'out of the box' but there are difficulties to overcome with early Palm organizers, Handspring devices and serial [not USB] or infrared Palm handelds.
The Treo 600 [USB only] and Treo 650 [Bluetooth or USB] are supported by iSync, and—like all Palm OS 4 or 5 devices—to a much more effective extent by the Missing Sync for Palm OS from Mark/Space. See this link for more information:

A Treo 700w is a Windows Mobile 5 device, and neither Information Appliance Associates, not Mark/Space, have delivered release packages supporting Windows Mobile 5 smartphones and Pocket PC devices. Mark/Space, however, is shipping an early alpha release of the Missing Sync for Windows Mobile with support for the Treo 700w, but only to registered users of the existing release for earlier devices. Incidentally, as a T-Mobile subscriber, you can use virtually any unlocked GSM handheld or smartphone on their network, giving you lots more choices than other wireless subscribers have. You can synchronize a SONY Ericsson P910a [Symbian OS] or similar smartphone with iSync, a Sidekick or Sidekick II [Danger OS] hiptop device using the Missing Sync for hiptop, or the Palm or Windows Mobile handsets they or others offer using iSync or the Missing Sync for Palm OS in the case of the Palm OS units, or the Missing Sync for Windows Mobile or PocketMac in the case of Windows Mobile and Pocket PC devices.

There's iOS apps for iOS which is what iPods, iPads, and iPhones use. Then there are Mac Apps (which is a different store) which is what run on a computer with OSX.

Is there a way to use/fix FLVPlayback skins provided with the product?
Some of the "skins" for the FLVPlayback component cannot be used as delivered in the Flash Professional CS5 package.
For instance, if you try simply to run the .swf file: MinimaSilverPlayBackSeekCounterVolMuteFull.swf in Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Flash CS5/Common/Configuration/FLVPlayback skins/ActionScript 3.0, you get the following error message:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class fl.video::UIManager could not be found.
Such a skin cannot be used in a published application (though it will work within the Flash IDE in Test mode).
Not all the skins have this problem. However, at least all of the Minima prefixed ones do. Of course the one I wish to use is broken. Is there a way I can fix this? If I try to publish the corresponding .fla (in FLVPlayback skins/FLA/Action Script 3.0 I get "Warning: unable to load SWC FLVPlaybackAS2.swc".Well I don't really understand the position you are taking here. Did you try to run the examples I gave?
I will be a sport, though, and back up here and explain more fully.
I had originally built a rather trivial application to experiment with the FLVPlayback component. I did this with AS-3, by the way.
As I tried different skins I found, strangely, that when I used one of the Minima ones (for instance, the one that I listed several times above), that it would run fine in the IDE in test mode, however when I ran the published application it would not run correctly. It generated instead this error message about the fl.video class not being found.
In trying to determine the cause of this, I found that this same error would be generated, just by trying to run the Minima skin (swf) in the Flash player by itself. And sure enough those skins that did NOT have the problem with my trivial app also did not generate any error when the swf was run in the Flash player.
So, as you hopefully can see, I took my application out of the equation here. The question of interest is why do some of the unmodified swf skin files generate the class not found error and can they be fixed (or is there anything I can do to fix them) so that error does not happen. I had even tried to use the original FLA file for the skin (as I described in my earlier post) and recompile it. However that caused a compile error (listed in the original post) that is indicative of some AS2 being mixed in, possibly from some sub-component.
So I guess all I was hoping for was that you would try to run the AS3 Minima...swf skin listed earlier straight from the product installation. Just run it with the Flash player. If it doesn't generate the error for you then perhaps there is something odd about my CS5 installation, or environment, or ...
If you don't want to try this, that is your perogative. Perhaps someone else can/will. Or perhaps I can submit this as a bug? (I do not know the mechanism for that)
I am not trying to be argumentative here. Rather, I have tried to isolate the issue. I don't know how else I can make this clear. -
Made the switch from Windows with a new iMac now my iPhone won't sync with erasing

I migrated from an older PC to a new iMac and when I try to sync my iPhone (which was synced on the old PC ) it wants to erase all my iPhones (3GS) data in favor of what currently on the iMac's/iTunes.
I deauturized my iTunes account on the old PC before switching, was there something else I may have missed?
I'd like to be able to import all the app and music tht's currently on my iPhone into my new iMac/iTunes.
Is there a way to acheive this?

D.If you transfer your iTunes library from your PC to your Mac following the instructions included with this link, no iTunes content on your iPhone will be erased with the first sync with iTunes on your Mac.

How can i use my old airport express with my new imac and wireless hp print
i just bought my first imac (intel) and a wireless hp printer. i now realize that a wireless connection between my imac and my printer needs a router.
i have an airport express base station, which is a few years old. I can't find my documentation, so i don't know its specifications.
how can i find out the specs of the airport express i have and whether i can use it now? it says that it is model a1084 100-240v~ 0.2a 50-60 hz.
does that tell any knowledgeable people out there about the specs? can i search the apple website by serial number and find the specs?

I need to restrict access to Settings on an iPad so settings like VoiceOver cannot be activated while letting them access multiple apps on the device. Is their any way to restrict access to settings without locking the device with a PIN?
This is so our guests cannot tamper or disable the device. We are already using Apple Configurator but their does not seem to be a way to lock down settings without a PIN.There's a lot of restrictions information in Chapter 19 of the 4.2 User Guide.

I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone
Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

As the subject indicates, I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to use AppleScript or Automator to launch the Mac App Store and download any available updates on a set schedule.
I would advise against this. Updates sometimes reduce functionality or break programs. I would never get an update with working software unless there is a specific problem you are trying to solve.
I have read many desperate posts from people trying to go back to earlier versions for various reasons. This is easy to do with disk-based software, but with downloaded software, going backward can be more difficult. -

Start by looking around the examples that ship with LabVIEW (if you are
using LabVIEW).
Also look around zone.ni.com for general data acquisition information &
examples. A good site.

There probably is, but it requires that you be able to use punctuation and write in sentences so that we can understand exactly what you want.
You can block others from using your Apple ID by changing your password. There is no way to erase what was already downloaded on to someone else's device, for obvious reasons, -
How can i use Mail on 2 macs with the same mail address?

I have two Macs, connected through WLAN. From each Mac I can use Mail (sending and receiving) with the same mail address. This worked well; on each Mac I have separate files storing the mails (input, sent, trash, …).
Some days ago I had to change the provider. (Perhaps this may be the reason for my problem?) Now both mail systems are connected - in the way that if I put on Mac *1 a mail into the trash it is automatically thrown into the trash on Mac *2.
What is to be done to separate the two systems (i. e. make them independent of each other)?

What happened the ice features of the previous iMovie - I have verson10.0.1 and have lost all the abilty to crete nice titles (most of the fonts are not even adjustable,- and when Ii have the title created, I ca't adust the fade in/out of the titles. Same with the audio. I used to be able to add audio on different tracks, and the adjustments of the volume was easy. Now, it's practically impissible to adjust the volumes to a nice level. I have never seen Apple create an upgrade which turns out to a serious down-grade from the existing version. I wonder if versioin 11 fixes all these bugs. Any one have any ideas.

If it is not already in the Toolbar, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar…
Then, drag the address panel up to wherever you want it.
You may also want to add it to the New Message window in the same way. -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Siri used to work fine when making mobile calls in Ecuador until yesterday, when the administration of Ecuador added an aditional number in all mobile numbers existing in Ecuador. Since then Siri is unable to make any mobile calls with any new number.Help
I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile numberEcuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed
