Is there a 13 in. Macbook Pro shell with a little pocket on the back to hold an external HDD?
I am looking for a hard shell that can hold my seagate 1 TB drive on the back of my Macbook Pro 13in 2012 (not retina, regular), while its pluged in. Kinnda like the rack thing for the back of an iMac, just this one would hold it tight to the back of the computer. If no one knows of somthing like this, if you have connections you should mention it to them. (make sure to tell them i was my idea!) Well thanks to anyone who can help! P.S. I will need to know before the middle of november!
I've seen the rack that some have attached to the back of various iMacs. However, a MBP opens and shuts, and there isn't any place to attach a rack without marring the look of your machine.
The main connections for most users would be the lightning, power, and USB connections. For others, the mini audio connection is useful. But something to hitch to the back of your MBP might be an eyesore. See it from the POV of the potential user.
On the other hand, a Mac-friendly case to hold your MBP, cables, drives, USB sticks, and adapters makes perfect sense. Put the MBP in one pocket, the peripherals in the other(s). I strongly suggest you visit your local Apple Store, since they're packed with items like these that fit your needs. Do a search on eBay for Swissgear and take a look at their cases.

No, it is not a bug. It is working as designed. And there is noting in the manual that staes you can create folders for a POP account.
You do know that any email sent through a POP account stays on the provider's server (often for years) even if you delete it from your inboxes, right? Completely beyond your control. Refusing to use an IMAP service doesn't protect you from anything. -

Not using Boot Camp, but you should be able to using virtualization software such as Parallels to run Windows concurrently with OS X.

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Reinstall Snow Leopard without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/. -

MacBook Pro i5 with retina will not recognize WD Passport even though I successfully used it to transfer programs and files from my older MacBook ten days ago. It receives power from the USB, but when using Time Machine I receive the message that there is not an external device connected.
If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues. -

If you've activated FileVault, only the users that were authorized to unlock the startup volume will appear in the pre-startup authentication dialog. Once the system has started up, all users will appear in the login dialog.
To authorize more users after the volume has been encrypted, select the FileVault tab in the Security & Privacy preference pane. Click the lock icon in the lower left corner and authenticate to unlock the settings, if necessary. Click Enable Users...
You should only enable users whom you trust implicitly with all data on the system, not just their own data. -
