Is there a album limitation on the IPad?

This a first for me.  I never had a problem importing a new Album/photos into my IPad 2 -- until now.   I could not find an answer in the User Guides provided by Apple.  This may have nothing to do with it, but yesterday I updated the OS on my MacBook with the latest security update.   I was able to create a new Album in IPhoto and imported photos into it.   This problem is not with IPhoto.  I connected my Ipad2 to my Macbook.   I interrupted the sync process  to select the new album in Itunes.  Again no prolem.  The Itunes sync appears to work.   When I completed the sync, I ejected the IPAD 2.  I then attempted to view the new album (with photos) on my Ipad2.  Nothing was visible.  The album never appeared.   In an attempt to troubleshoot the problem, I created a "dummy" album in Iphoto and dragged the photos from the real album into the test album.   I then deselected the real album.   I again performed a "Sync" opraion in Itunes.   I was able to locate the test album on Ipad but only two photosin it.   They were not the photos I loaded in IPoto.   Has anyone else had issues with Ipad2 photo syncs with their computer?
Is suspect there a bug or somekind of album and/or photo limitation between the IPad 2 and Itunes/Iphoto on my MacBook.

Photo synching has always been a complete nightmare with iTunes + iOS. There are a lot of dedicated threads on it.
I recommend abandoning it entirely and going to third-party image viewers / slideshowers like Photo Manager Pro. They, in addition to getting rid of the abundant sync problems when using the "Photos" tab in iTunes, have a lot of additional features like unlimited-depth folder support, sorting by date etc. See http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/all-one-photo-viewer-roundup-70-price-drop-bes t-image-viewer for a quick review.

Is there a way of connecting the ipad to the smart board in the classroom, so that the smartboard is the control, and the ipad is displaying what is on the smartboard? This is to help a visually impaired child see what is on the smartboard.

    Absolutely!
Install Splashtop2 on the PC and enable it to be controlled or ran from iPad or Reflection to simply allow iPad to serve as PC unwired monitor. With Splashtop and an Apple TV connected, you use the smartboard as usual, yet the PC and iPad can see the same content. The impaired child can even interact with the Smart Board via the iPad as if he were writing directly on the big screen. Erasing functions can be done by touching the Smart Board manual controls. Several variables are in play that cause this lack of functionality:
Apple won't permit PC software that infringes its proprietary apps.
Smart Board companies refuse to develop iPad apps because they feel threatened and are being replaced by iPads
School districts think Apple TV is meant for copyright infringement and could expose them to safe harbor lawsuits
Network administrators make it impossible to login Apple TVs because they don't want the streaming occurring
Classrooms are not able to keep up with the technology of using the iPad
Clicker companies refuse to play with iPad because they see it as a potential threat to their core business clients
Apple is not working as hard as it could to exploit its capabilities in education, thus losing money in iPad sales
The bottom line is that we educators and technology developers are hurting our childern with petty conflicts.

ipad - how to push Exchange calendar events to iCloud account? MobileIron is used to get Exchange data -- is there an app to push the ipad version of the events to iCloud?
There are two separate calendars on ipad (ios 7.1) one for icloud, one fo exchange. I have tried a couple of calendar apps and while they do a good job of showing the events in the app - they don't push (synch) back to iCloud. Any thoughts on an app that will take my ipad calendars and synch them to a single icloud calendar/account?
    Thanks

    Hi
You asked about a recommendation for an app to paste a group of addresses into the To, Cc or Bcc fields of an email?
Our "MailShot Pro" app is the only one we know of on the App Store that creates special "group contacts" in your address book which contain all your groups email addresses, but can be used just like regular contacts from most of your favourite apps. We now have nearly 50000 people using it, and growing steadily every day.
Here is a link if you would like to know more “MailShot Pro” (itunes link).
A free version is also available if you'd like to try it out with a small nmber of contacts.
If you need any customer support just contact us at the website, we're always happy to help.

  • How can I import into iPhoto, from my iPad, albums created on the iPad using Photos App ?

I take about 300 photos a day using my iPad, as i'm filming to help keep continuity.
I then create albums under the scene number from some of the photos taken. Eventually i will build up all of the scene numbers in the script.
I want to import into iPhoto all of these albums.
    How can this be done?
For some reason, when i plug my iPad into the laptop, it won't import screen grabs or all of the photos.
So the fact i have tried to be super organised, the apple software is now letting me down !
Can albums created in the iPad now be imported into iPhoto as albums to keep my organisation ?
    Thanks.

That is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
With the new Photo app later this year the integration between IOS and the Mac will be much greater

  • Is there any Vga adaptor for the Ipad 2 that is VIDEO IN rather than OUT?

Is there any Vga adaptor for the Ipad 2 that is VIDEO IN rather than VIDEO OUT? is for a student with visual impairment who needs to view the classroom digital board content from a very short distance, like the distance to an Ipad for example, so the Ipad would be ideal as an interactive monitor with typography and content easy to amplify.
At the moment, this student has a traditional flat screen monitor taking over the table next to him, so no other child can seat in it, and he has no opportunity to befriend and sporadically joke with anybody else. So much for "inclusion".
Please do let me know: [email protected]

Speaking as a teacher ... Why can't he have a student on the other side of him?

  • Is there a DJ app for the Ipad that will read the "start" and "stop time" setting for each individual song, as they are set in the song Options screen in Itunes?

Is there a DJ app for the Ipad that will read the "start" and "stop time" setting for each individual song, as they are set in the song Options screen in Itunes? The Ipod Touch, by itself does not allow cross-fading, therefore when the stop time is edited short, the song jusst truncates then goes to the next song. I tried the DJay ap and while it would crossfade, it would NOT read the song settings for the stop marker. So now I want to try and Ipad and see if there is an app that will READ the Itune stop settings within the song. I do NOT want an app that will allow me to DO the stop marker. I want an app that will READ the stop marker from the song as it is set in Itunes.

Itunes provides the option for setting the Start and Stop times of each music track.  However, the start and stop times do not synchronize to the iPhone.  I don't understand why this option is even available as it doesn't work when listening to music on the phone.  I have not found another application that will support the start and stop time markets.  I have searched quite a bit for this but can't find anything.  I hope we can find something.

  • What are the DC power limitations for the ipad.

What are the DC power limitations for the ipad in a car or airplane.  Can I use and recharge the ipad in a car or airplane with a 28 VDC power system?

The iPad charger produces 5V and 1000 mW. You would need an convertor accessory which is compatible with the iPad charging system and produces these output levels

  • TS3274 I went to an Apple store yesterday and the guy there did something and now the ipad only works in the vertical (portrait) position and not the horizontal (landscape) position.  How can we make it work in both positions?

I went to an Apple store yesterday and the guy there did something and now the ipad only works in the vertical (portrait) position and not the horizontal (landscape) position.  How can we make it work in both positions?

Just in case you are not running iOS 7 and don't have the control center feature.....
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it and you are running iOS 5 or 6, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If you are running iOS 7, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to the control center and the lock icon is in the row of icons at the top all the way to the right.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button

  • Is there away to print with the iPad first generation

Is there away to print with the iPad first generation

I have a Brother HL-2170W and I istalled it to the Router through wireless for use with different computers in the house. I downloaded the free Brother Apps to my Ipad (Vintage) , when I opened the Printer Apps and click find printer it searched and disovered the printer and next open a page from the note and test printed. No third party apps required.
Hope this will answer the query.

  • Is there a way to make the iPad Common Access Card (CAC) enabled?

Is there a way to make the iPad Common Access Card (CAC) enabled?

There are two current readers with iPad support, with at least two more expected in the next couple of months.
Be careful of what you refer to be "CAC enabled". The true answer to this depends upon what your software requirements are.
Please refer to http://militarycac.com/mobile.htm#iPhone_and_iPad as a good reference source.
    Good luck!

  • My new iPad2 synched OK on initial setup but I didn't really want all the photos in iPhoto transferred so on  later synch I tried limiting the sych to certain albums only to find that only a fraction of the albums now on the iPad. I tried synching again.

My new iPad2 set up OK with all the photos in my iPhoto transferring . On a later synch I tried limiting the transfer to only certain albums. After that I find only a fraction of the desired albums transferred. I tried synching again without any restrictions but get the same limited number of photos and albums. I think I've seen the solution to this fault somewhere - something to do with deleting the iPhoto cache but can't find it.

Update: I was unsuccessful on my attempt to delete the iPhoto Cache folder because I didn't follow the directions exactly. There seems to be more than one folder with an identical name. Finally succeeded in getting all my photos back on the iPad2.
If one desires to change the selection of photos snc'd, however, it apears that you must change the selecion from the iTunes screen while the iPad is plugged in and the select "Apply". Unfortunate, the sync starts immediately when you plug the iPad in and it doesn't seem to smart to stop the sync. It appears you have to make a change in iTunes while syncing. Let it complete. Detach the iPad. Go back and delete the iPhoto cache ad directed. Then the next time you sync presumably the new sync restrictions will apply. I didn't want to risk stopping the sync that started automatically to change the sync options and then direct it to sync again but that might work. Too bad we don't have more control over the starting of syn when the iPad is attached. Maybe we actually do but I haven't noticed it.
