Is there a Apple-approved/supported way of hanging/mounting a 27" iMac?

I have a new iMac on order and have had several people ask me if I plan on mounting it. I was not aware this was possible with the iMac platform. Is it?
Nevermind... If only I had see the mount kit on the store before posting. Next time, I will RTFM.

I think the OP found out about this one http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC772ZM/A?n=Mount&fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MTkwMzc 4NTY&s=topSellers

  • Is there an Apple approved device that will allow me to access photos on 3.5" floppy disks?

I have family photos on 3.5" floppy disks that I want to transfer to iPhoto. Is there an Apple approved device to do so? Thanks for your help!

The only problem that I could foresee is that the 3.5" disks may not be in a current Apple format of HFS+. You're probably safe if they're 1.44MB floppies but if they're 400-800K floppies - in the older HFS format you should still be able to read files from the disks with no problems, but no writing back to or erasing the disks.
I remember going through all the trouble with my SyQuest and ZIP disks, too!
    Good luck,

  • Is there an Apple IPhone support line I can call?

    HELP!

I didn't know there was a special iPhone number but, if not, here is APPLECARE:
    800-275-2273 (APL-CARE).
It's all found on the contacts page:

  • Is there an Apple email support?

I have forgotten my identification answers and cannot use phone support because my country (Belize) is not on the list. Thank you

Thanks for replying.  I hope you can help or you can help show me how to get help.
Since upgrading iOS 5.1 my iPhone 4 has been having battery problems.  I loses 1/3 of my 'normal' battery time.  I sometimes switch to airplane mode at work to conserve battery.  When I am commuting, I switch the phone back on.  At home, I don't use the phone very much.  It is usually in standby mode.  I've switched off all irrelevant services. Unfortunately, despite all this, battery problem persists.
Worst still, today, while checking data mileage, I realise that I have exceeded my the data allowance on my plan.  Considering the fact that I am 'practically' not using the phone anymore.  How can this be possible?  Somehow, the iphone is transmitting data while in standby mode; that's why battery is going fast and my data mileage is being used up.
iOS 5.1 may have solved the problem for some iPhone 4s owners; it has created a massive problem for me.  I only have 200 MB per month.  If I have to switch of 'cellular data' then there is no reason to keep this phone anymore.
    Please advice.  Thanks.

  • Is there a (supported) way of migrating regular ERP IDES system to HANA for use of Simple Finance?

We have installed a SAP ERP IDES system but we'd like to try out Simple Finance. We could do a fresh install of ERP but we like the demo data included in IDES system. Is there a simple SAP supported way of migrating our system (or data to be precise)?

No.  In down sampling with iTunes a new file is created and added to the library.  Most of the old data are preserved but some such as date added are created when the track is added.
Using a third party tool may achieve what you want because the new file could overwrite the old one.  I recall using a third party tool to edit a mp3 and overwrite the old file.  iTunes was tricked into thinking the replacement was still the original file, but of course the edits were in place.  I can't make a specific application recommendation for bulk conversion where it will overwrite the old file.
I will regard this as a general iTunes question but in general if you are using beta software versions you should not be posting in the main iTunes forum.

  • I tried to download the latest upgrade and got the following: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).  Program Files/Common Files/Apple/Apple Application Support\ApplePushService.dll

I tried to download the latest upgrade and I got a message telling me "The application or DLL ProgramFiles/CommonFiles/Apple/Applie Application Support\ApplePushService.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette." and then below that another message "iTunes was no installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).  I tried reinstalling and it still will not work.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

  • Help!  I accidentally deleted Apple Application Support... is there any way I can download it and reinstall it without deleting and reinstalling itunes?

My huband is going to be so ****** if I have to uninstall and reinstall itunes.  PLEASE HELP ME!  If he loses his playlists or any other information it will be devastating... he has a radio show!
When I try to open itunes it says that it won't open woithout Apple Application Support and says I need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.  2 things I'm afraid will happen.
    1.  He doesn't want to update to the latest itunes because all his friends told him not to because the newest version *****.
    2.  He might lose all his playlists and also even if he doesn't los his itunes library he might lose data and information about all the songs.
I just really need to open itunes WITHOUT uninstallign and reinstalling it.  Is there ANY way I can do that?

I also googled this question.  Someone said if I download quicktime it comes with apple application support.  Does that solve my problem?

  • HT1926 How do I authorize a windows 8/64 but I/explorer computer? The Apple website is way out of date and the support led to an unknown error -42110 and the advice was wrong and inoperable from the support man Gulab

I have bought a New Computer as my Old one did it's HDD. I now have windows 8/64 bit  I/E 10 and am trying to Authorise my New Computer. I have downloaded the latest version and I got an ""unknown error -42110 "" .I went to te apple website and that says how to deactivate a SC folder or something in windows 7 or windows vista.
It also says to go to ""store|"" > Authorise Computer"" and I can't get anything,so I contacted  Apple support and I got some person called Gulab who sent me links to the same obsolete apple website which says exactly what I have said above.
I open iTunes and it lets me login with my apple id and says that I have $78.00 in credit and to be honest I can't understand the updated version/s let alone find how to ""Authorise "" my new computer.Gulab said to delete te sc Folder but the website (Apple) says this ios for windows 7 and windows vista.
Running around in circles. Apple website needs to be drastically updated instead of updating iTunes .
Completely confused and so is the support staff....lololooolololol

    (1) There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

  • New Apple TV to non-HMDI... there has to be a way?!

Ok so my TV is 4 years old it does not have an HDMI or DVI connection on the back. There has to be a way to connect the new Apple TV, right? The TV was build before HD TV was completely defined. It is an "enhanced def" TV. I am pretty sure it supports 720p
I have found something called hdfury check it out on hdfury.com. I am thinking this may be my only hope? What do you think? Any other ideas?

Actually, this may work, Gefen GTV-DIGAUD-2AAUD Digital-to-Analog Audio Adapter:
    http://www.geekbro.com/index.cfm/p/v/738504?source=GoogleBase
You will also need to purchase a TOSLINK cable:
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?cid=102&cp_id=10229&cs_id=1022901&pid=3396&seq=1&format=2
If you have only one DVI input, you may need this also; search monoprice.com for 4088.
4X1 Enhanced 1.3b Certified HDMI Switch with built-in Equalizer and Remote (REV.3.0):
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?cid=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&pid=4088&seq=1&format=2
Also, product# 3871; (you may need several of these.)
3FT 28AWG High Speed HDMI Cable w/Ferrite Cores - Black:

You will need to investigate this further to determine yourself if the above suggestions will work.
    Hope this helps!
Others on this discussion board may have other suggestions.
    Good Luck!
Let us know how this works out.

  • Aren't FCPX and Compressor supposed to be able to export Apple ProRes 422 LT?  I just bought FCPX and Compressor and there seems to be no way to transcode HDV clips to Apple ProRes422 LT.  Before buying I read LACUG tutorial by R Taylor that says it can.

Tom is right. Codecs are shared software system-wide ("Core Video"). If you cannot find the option with any software (such as MPEG Streamclip), you won't find it in Compressor or FCPX either. The Quicktime ProRes codecs is part of the FCP menu > "Download Additional Content" you need to make after install FCPX (or Compressor.) These "pro video" codecs are part of all "ProApp" licenses for video related software from Apple (QT7Pro, Motion, Compressor, Final Cut, etc....) [you can also download them here: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1396]
Most articles/tutorials you read by "long time" users are apt to assume the reader has been working with pro-video on Macs since the days of disk installs (like they have). In those days, the installation of those codecs wasn't even really an option (well, it was if you did a custom install - but who *didn't* install all available codecs??), it was automatically installed with the main software. Since the "App Store" venue... things have changed somewhat.

  • Why is it that apple has no way to supporting Apple TV issues while Netflix has a number you can call at any time?

Why is it that apple has no way to supporting Apple TV issues while Netflix has a number you can call at any time?

Another reason may well be that, this is all Netflix do. If Apple had phone support for the iTunes Store, there would be all sorts of people calling up to find out what sort of lead they should get to connect their camera to their computer and other such completely unrelated questions.
