Is there a basic organizational unit in Aperture?
I know this is an embarrassingly newbie kind of question, but I imported my iPhoto library to Aperture over a year ago and I feel less organized than I was in iPhoto. I have 2 big folders filled with what looks like a combination of "Project" icons and "Album" icons that seem to duplicate each other. I would really like to get in an reorganize everything, but I'm not clear about what I can and cannot delete. I don't want to delete the master images.
For you guys who really use this as it was intended, what would a well organized library look like and how do I get it there without deleting the wrong things. I know there are books on this and I have read three of them, but I still don't get this basic question.

I'm a newcomer to Aperture, so I'm no expert. But for one thing, I used Derrick's Story advise: I did not import my whole iPhoto library into Aperture with the default Aperture method. I am presently importing my iPhoto library album per album, and as I learn more about the Aperture way, I'm doing some changes along the way of my initial thought.
So, what I'm trying to do is more like, create a project per event, and I classify projects within blue folders by master category. How that looks like? here is an example:
blue folder: Personal pictures and it contains:
Project Family reunion x
Project Family reunion y
Project My house pictures
etc
And within each projects I can create smart album, books, etc as I want.
I also have a master classification blue folder that have many smarts album in it splited again per category. For exemple, I have a blue folder named "Lens" with smart albums with the EXIF data for each of my lenses in my bag. So if I'm searching an example of a picture I took with my Tokina 11-16 mm, is it easy to find one.
But you have to find the way that best suits your workflow.

Based on that we need to provide logic. So, I hope above solution is not helping me because they do not want to create appraisal documents person by person. Please guide me.

No Organizational Unit for Bidder on the 'Manage Business Partners Screen'
I replicated a vendor from R3 to SRM and there is no 'Organizational Unit for Bidder' listed. Because there is none, I cannot make any changes to the address of the Business Partner (Vendor) and there is no way to add the Organizational Unit for Bidder because it is all greyed out.
I also tried to fix it in the GUI bbmainint screen but it cannot be fixed there either.
Does anyone know how I can get that Org Unit for Bidder into the Vendor's Profile? I know what it should be, I just can't find a way to get it in there.

the 'Organizational Unit for Bidder' is not listed in the transaction. You need to know this code every time you create a contact / employee for a specific suppliers.
When you replicated vendors into SRM, the vendor records are assiged to a Org Unit. Depending on your SRM version (SRM 4.0 or SRM > 4.0), they are integrated into the Org Model. Enter exactly this root node for the supplier into the field 'Organizational Unit for Bidder'.
It is just about knowing where the information is - then it works

I have several libraries in Aperture, (9 libraries, 45,000 pictures .. !!) there a way to unite them all in a single library to retain all data?
If you have a drive that is large enough, you can open one library and import the other aperture libraries on after the other into your main library.
Use the command "File > Import > Library".
When prompted, if you want to "Add" or to "merge", select "Merge". This way, Aperture will try to avoid to import duplicates.
Merging can take a long time and needs plenty of free storage, sometimes more than the combined sizes of the libraries to be merged. The additional storage will be released,when the merge is done. -

CRMD_BUS2000108 - organizational unit and attributes for org. unit
Hi all!
As I'm customizing Lead creation (and in a second step lead generation)
I would like to receive tips about "selection of organizational unit and attributes for org. unit".
I expected that, by entering a BP number of a prospect or sold-to party, the organizational unit and its attributes would be displayed automatically on the tab "organization".
This is not the case. When I start the lead creation, there is a pop-up screen inviting me to choose the organizational unit. afterwards a pop-up screen for the attributes of the org unit. Only after setting a flag in both pop-ups, I see the actual "lead" transaction. When I enter a BP number, the sales assistant and sales rep are found automatically.
Could anybody please explain how to change the customizing?
I would like to see the lead transaction (create) first, enter a bp number and than have the org unit and its attributes, the sales rep and sales assistant found automatically.
Any usefull answer (would make my day ), will be rewarded.

this is happening because you have not done the org data determination in your transaction,just go to SPRO and there in org data determination ,you have many standard ORGMAN rules available which you can use which will pick the data according to the user ,BPs etc.
it will enable you to first give BP and then the org data will be driven automatically from the system according to the rule in org data determination.
so first go and use rule ,try using rule ORGMAN_12
then attach this rule to the org data profile and then add this org data profile to the transaction in basic settings in transaction where you have defined your lead transaction.
it will solve your purpose

No Checkbox For Head of Organizational Unit

I customized one relation which copied from A003/B003 and add in evaluation path.
I can use the relation and create a position in PPOME.
However, there is no checkbox for Head of Organizational Unit.
Are there anything I didn't do in IMG?

In order to display the tab strip "basic data" in the detail area of transaction PPOME various infotypes come into play, e.g. infotype 1000,1001 with subtypes B007, A008, A012, and infotype 1002 and 1007, just to mention some of them.
All of these infotypes and subtypes may carry different validity dates,and usually these dates are taken into account when calculating the periods displayed in the right part of the detail screen.
But with infotype 1001, subtype A012 (managing relationship) it has been decided to handle the periods in a different way. Since those relationships may also point from the current position to a completely different organizational unit, very complex situations may occur. This is the reason why in certain cases, where the periods calculated from the validity dates of the other infotypes/subtypes do not match the validity period or taget org unit of the A012 relationship, the checkbox "manages org unit" may be checked but is grayed out.
There are more exact ways to view and maintain the managing relationship: In the overview area, you can jump to the view "Managerial assignment" where you can directly maintain relationship A012, using the relationship validity display of our "column framework" (click on the right button "column comfiguration" and activate "Link period").

I have set up a LDAP server with JNDI Tutorial example. I have been able to search, list and also get the attributes from the server. But what i need to know is there a way to get the Organization Units in java.
ie. o = JNDITutorial
ou = People
ou=Groups
ou=NewHires
Now what i want is there a way to get all the ou's in java for the given organization.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Mahmed
I would strongly say you need to refer the Workforce and Management guide
Which will explain you the complete details of the Organization
You need to get the basics for this because these BG and OU are going to be the foundation for the instance. So just by know the definition will not help you

In IT0001 You have a Position which is linked to a Org unit. If you want to change the org units reporting relationship then you have to change it in OM by creating a new relationship with the upper org unit.
All the person are assigned to position so nothing needs to be done in PA.

Function module for automating creation of organizational unit

I am using SRM 4.0. In my system R/3 is acting as backend.
For creation of new organisational unit in SRM, which is not present in SRM but present in R/3 side i have to do the manual activity every time.
Is there any function module? Which can automate this process. If there is any function module which i can use please let me know. and how can i use that also please let me know.
By this automation every time through the program the new organization unit should created in SRM side.

IF for some user the orgaisation unit will not be found then there itself it would create the OU through Function module(If Any)... I am doing like this as the HR system is some legacy system not the R/3 system.

Business partner of organizational unit is not consistent
Hi,
Client is on SRM 4.0. When we are trying to search a user in the org structure, and when clicking on "Check" for this user, it was showing fine. But when we are searching any BP in the org strucutre, then immediately the BP name is vanishing against the BP of the user and when doing the "Check" it is showing the below two messages:
Business Partner of organizational unit XXXXXXX is not consistent
User cannot be repaired becasue the organizational unit contains errors
When checking in BBP_CHECK_USRES, the user is not showing as defective. It is green.
Similarly, the the organizational unit check is also showing as green.
System is advising to run BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE. When we run this for the org units, these are coming as green.
Users are able to create the shopping carts and also are able to create confirmations. But the problem is happening for some of the users where the system is not allowing to create shopping basket / confirmation.
Strange thing is that, when we are searching the user by user id in the org structure, then the check is showing no messages. But if we search the same user using the BP number, then in the check, the messages are coming. And once the messages appear, it is appearing for all the users in the org strucutre even at the root node level.
Any help is highly appreciated.

There are some possibilities to raise these kind of errors messages:
1) User with inconsistent data.
Please, check the instructions described in the following notes:
597475 - Repair users with inconsistent address data
-> use the report B_REPAIR_EBP_USER_2 to make the user consistent.
419423 - Repairing incorrect EBP users
350129 - Creating business partner for organizational unit
When you create the Org Units have you fully completed the address
data, e.g post coe, telephone/fax number etc..
If not, please enter a full address, save the data and see if this
generates the Business Partner.
Remember, that you can delete this user and create a new user.
2) Error in the positions after HR replication
Please, implement the following notes and retest the scenario:
1056873 - Incorrect SRM users after HR distribution
1016450 - Replication of persons deletes positions in SRM
After implementing these notes you should send the employee
corresponsing to the user in error with his position (using
transaction PFAL or report RHALEINI in UPDATE mode for all periods.
3) the user was deleted and a new was created and during these two
actions the user opened documents. So, in this case, the new user
becomes inconsistent
If the user is deleted from SU01 still the BP and S which is related to
that user will be retained (we can see this in PPOMA_BBP) transaction.
In this case we can create the user again using SU01 and can be attached
with the old 'S' and 'BP'.
2. If the user is completed deleted ie., all relations BP and S.
The new user has created.
In this case if the new user is corrupted we can delete this
user (since the new user doesn't create any documents so far). But the
old documents should refer to the new BP related to the new user.

Also, another option would be to follow the below instructions
After applying the notes 1056873 & 1016450, send the employees
corresponding to the users in errors with their positions (using
transaction PFAL or report RHALEINI in UPDATE mode for all periods,
using evaluation path A008) ? If not, please do this and it must repair
the SRM users. Please test and give me the feedback.

How do I activate the object history for an organizational unit ?
Dear experts,
we're using organizational units, positions, persons and users of the
organizational management (Transactions PPOCE and PPOME) for
the determination of (possible) agents in our Workflows.
The objects seem to have an object history, at least you find such an
option in the "find by" window on the left hand side of the maintenance
transactions, but in our system there are no entries and I can't figure
out how to activate history entries to be written.

In OM all relation have a validity. I think you mean this with object history.
If you double click an organizational unit for instance and then open the detail tab (if it wasn't open already)
there you'll see Valid On with todays date this is the date which is used for determining the organizational structure, also you'll see No Periods with a green square to the left of the text.
Just above the text Valid On, you'll see a button, when you click on the display periods button you can change the date to see what the relation of the object was at that time.
You can also search the HR forum for more on organizational management.

I have FM SWI_GET_USERS_OF_ORG_UNIT passing some oranizational unit number of the production system which was not there in devlopment server. I am testing in development server now to work the workflow I need to chnage the number to developemnt server organizational unit number. How to find that number.

"This addition specifies which selection screen is called. dynnr is a data object that must contain the screen number of a selection screen defined in the called program when the SUBMIT statement is called.
u2022 If the addition USING SELECTION-SCREEN is omitted or the screen number 1000 is entered, the standard selection screen is called. If no standard selection screen is defined in the called program, no selection screen is called.
u2022 If a screen number that is not 1000 is entered in the addition USING SELECTION-SCREEN, the corresponding independent selection screen is called. If no selection screen with this screen number is defined in the called program, this leads to an untreatable exception."

Can u suggest if there is any possibility of calling the t-code 'RE_RHAKTI00' with 3 values before execution...coz there r also other check boxes and radiobuttons which user will select as per requirement before executing the report.

CSV or Ect.
