Is there a button to remove all unused swatches in a file?

Hey all,
Just wondering is there a button that removes all unused swatches in an illustrator file?
Any help would be great

Look in the Actions panel. There should be an action there which says Delete All Unused Panel Items.

Action to remove all unused swatches nearly works...

I've been using the default Action to remove fluff (unused swatches, symbols, brushes, etc.) but it has a funny quirk. I have a spot black color (named black) that always escapes the purge, even if it not used in the document. It is not set as the default stroke/fill, and there are no styles that use this swatch. Even if I run the Action twice the swatch remains. Even if I rename the swatch to something other than black it remains. Even if I rename the swatch and give it a different CMYK mix it remains. As a kludge, I've been using a combo of the default action and John Wundes' Delete Fluff script to get everything, but it is not an ideal solution. Wundes' script, which is unable to delete used brushes, roots out the offending swatch. It is unable to delete unused brushes, so following up with the default action clears those out. Also, Wundes' script is very slow and will often beach-ball the application, requiring a force-quit occasionally.
Two questions:

Can anyone think of other places that might harbor this rogue spot color and make the default action not find/delete it?
Is there a simple script that could check specifically for the use of this color in the document and delete it?

The reason I feel like it is a remnant of a deleted brush is because:
-- I can run the Action the first time and the unwanted swatch is still there.
-- I can run the Action again (or ten times), and it is still there.
-- If, however, I save, close, and then open the document, and run the Action again then it will result in getting rid of the unwanted swatch.
I don't know what magic exists in John's script, but it has no problem getting rid of the unused swatch right off the bat...

Issue does not apply to just first gen iPads, but all iOS devices. The only place in the native mail app that permits deleting en mass is the trash folder. In all other folders you must tap each message to select it before deleting. There may be alternate mail apps that include this function in the app store, but I have yet to find one.

Assuming all the device(s) have been synced to this computer as its Home computer. The easiest way would be to delete all the apps from iTunes. After which connect your device(s) to the computer (iTunes) and transfer purchases from the device(s) by right click (control click) the device name in the left sidebar and the click transfer purchases. When done only the apps on your device(s) will be in you iTunes library.

This happens in opened document, but also in a new empty document.
• I delete (an rebuild) the préférences of the software.
• I repaired the authorizations of the Mac

I did it via the keyboard keys combination (when InDesign® is launched).

Nothing is working for me. Is there a way to just remove all the overlays in DPS and start over, without redoing my whole layout?

Not en masse, but if you select each element that has an overlay applied, there is a reset button at the bottom of the Overlay Creator window.

Why is the itunes store removing some songs/albums here and there? First they removed all of the Monkey Majik albums, now they've deleted a album by Moonjam in the Mexico store. Im upset

If your computer is not recognizing your iPhone then it seems like it doesn't have Apple Mobile Device Support (the program it uses to communicate with the phone).
I would recommend a complete a uninstall and reinstall of iTunes to get it back on your computer. You can get directions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.

When I connected my iPhone, it automatically synced right away. I did click on the iPhone button and saw the contents of my iPhone including the Books. When I clicked that 'Books' button. But since the book in question was not on my iPhone, it did not show up in the list so I could not select it like you suggested. Therefore I could not sync that book to my iPhone. Thanks for the help though.
The good news is I did manage to get the book on to my iPhone.
When her book came out for preorder about a year or two ago, I looked for it in the iTunes store and preordered it. About a week after it came out, I found what was basically the same book for a dollar more. ($7.99 and $8.99) I figured there must be something additional (features) in the $8.99 book. So I bought it too. As far as I could tell though, they were exactly the same. So I decided to hide one of them so they would not both show up in my Library. Anyway, I went to my iTunes/iBooks account and managed the hidden books area. I unhid the Demi book and then it showed up in my iCloud to download on my iPhone. Now they are both on my computer so I need to figure out which one is the other one and hide it. So then I can delete it from my computer just have the one that is on my iPhone on both systems. But at least I found a way to get a copy on my iPhone.

Removing all Folding At Home app files.

I've been running Folding @ Home on my iMac for over a year and decided to stop and remove the application. Following FAH instructions on their web site, I stopped the work it was doing, closed the program and dragged the FAH app folder into the trash the same as many other apps. Upon restarting the computer I found that FAH processes FahCore_a4, FAHClient and FAHCoreWrapper still running and maxing out the CPU units. Apparently, Mac OS 10.9.4 did not remove all the files this app installed. How do I find these files and remove them?

No - and most likely you do not have duplicates but different versions of the same photos - you need either the entire iPhoto library intact or the contents of the originals (or Masters in iPhoto '11) folder

Is there a way to Extract all formulas from Crystal Reports files?

Hi:
I have about 40 Crystal Reports (.rpt files). I need to go through each one and look at formulas if a certain variable/value is used since it has currently changed. It is taking way too long and not to mention inefficent to open each file, look through any place where there could be custom formulas such as when to suppress - etc. Is there are way to easily exact all custom formulas from all those report into say a Text file so I can do a Search for it? That would be the easiest way to find what I'm looking for.

Is there any way to remove my hard drive with backup files in it from the exclude these items from backups???

I currently have a MacBook Air and a 1TB external hard drive, and I run my iPhoto Library from the EHD and as well have TM backup my computer to that same HD. The problem I have is that I don't have a backup of that HD which has all my photos and other media, so If the HD takes a crap I can be in big trouble.
So what I did is I purchased a new HD (My Cloud from WD) to back up my EHD. While setting everything up I ran into this
TM included the EHD in the "Exclude these items from backup" list and I can't touch them, and I tried everything. I later found this
The last sentence of #3 states why I can't.... Since the EHD has a backup file in it, it is excluded.
So..... Does anybody have any idea of a way around this? Would I have to restart everything and set it up different? Or just have a better and easier way of doing this?? I'll appreciate any help and suggestions.

What you need, is a dedicated image restauration filter that recognized the regular frequency pattern superimposed onto the prints. You can do this in advanced Image processing packages that let you compute the fourier transform of the image and then suppress or attanuate the frequency bands of the artefact with a band-stop filter.
But neither Aperture nor PhotoShop have this kind of filter. In Aperture and Photoshop you can only soften the effect by blurring and then exporting a smaller version of the image.
The algorithm that your scanner uses is probably the best that can be done, even if the resolution is only 100 dpi.
Do you still have the negatives? Scanning the negatives at a high resolution may give you better results.

Right clicking is not working on any of the websites. I read up that it's a Yahoo sidebar issue. But, in my extentions, Yahoo sidebar is not there. I had removed all toolbars, but from 'view' menu. Now how do I get my right click to work?
