i am asking if there is a cable from thunderbolt to usb because i need to conect two midi controllers and a soudcard to my mac pro and when i using a hub this must be powerd but i dont like hubs for using whit midi controllers

As per the Apple Store catalog, not now. There's TB to Ethernet, TB to Firewire, but no USB. Heck, the TB to FW almost caused a revolution cause Apple took way too long to put it out to market.
Maybe in other shops/suppliers, but wouldn't hold my breath. Just like when FW came out, TB is still a mostly Apple novelty that other makers have not yet widely adopted.

I have no proof, but I think it will not work with an adapter, only Mini Display Port or Thunderbolt.

The charging cable you originally got with your iPad is the one you should use for syncing also.
Have you tried re-installing the latest version of iTunes?

I had a really hard time finding a micro usb OTG cable anywhere locally (Future shop, Best Buy, specialty computer stores, etc). These cables freely available on the web, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of ordering and shipping a cable just to connect to the usb port and confirm that it works as advertised. The usb host was critical for me. The solution was to follow the recommendation in the following review: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/tablets/Toshiba-Excite-10.htm The reviewer recommended purchasing a Sony Tablet S usb adapter cable, as it is the easiest to find. I am looking to purchase the MCC USB-501 and use it to acquire the ambient temperature on an event driven basis. The data logging portion is something I am interested in, I just want to have my application acquire the tempture when a certain event occurs. Does anyone have any LabVIEW drivers for this device?

I don't know what you mean by using a logger that collects data on an "event driven basis".
It is nifty little device, but it basically does one thing. It logs data. You load the software, configure it for when to start an how often to log data, unplug it, and put it where you want to log the temperature. When you're done, you get it plug it back in and download the data that was logged.
There is no way to configure it to react to events. It's possible that a LabVIEW driver exists for this, but all it would do is provide an alternate way of downloading the data instead of using the software that comes with it. It is not an immediate or interactive piece of hardware like a normal data acquisition card would be.

No. Apple only sells one cable for the iDevices.
The iDevices will work with a USB port but it will be not faster than a USB 2 port.

What usb cable for ipod touch 4th g 64gb?

I got a used iPod touch 64gb 4th generation, but no charging cable. I assume that a charger for a classic iPod video 64gb wouldn't fit, but which cable would be the right one?
There is one for sale, called a "Sync Data USB Cable+Home+DC Car Charger For Apple iPod Touch 4G 4th Gen 8GB/64GB". It seems as if this would be the right item or am I missing something? This is a generic item. Should I do that?

The charger for a classic iPod video 64gb may not work since early iPod chargers used FireWire charging (12 volts) vice USB (5 volts) for charging.

Usb data cable for 9210

I have had my 9210 since they came out and had lost my serial cable, do I bought a usb cable off ebay. Although I have downloaded both the usb drivers from nokia.com neither my Win98SE pc or Win XPpro notebook will recognise the usb cable and connect to the 9210. The PC Suite keeps trying to connect using COM1-4 or IRDA Is there any other drivers I can try, the cable is not stamped Nokia, it just has a silver label on one side of the interface block saying USB data cable and on the other side USB-DATA NOK 9210. First off, before you tell me to look elsewhere (since I'm sure many have posted on USB 3.0 recently) Hear me out. I have read the backwords compatibility rules for USB 3.0. My understanding is that I can use a 2.0 cord on 3.0 device (it fits) but not a cord on a 2.0 device. It don't fit...TOO MANY PINS.

I bought a new External HD that had a USB 3.0 port and came with 3.0 cables. I plugged these cables into my Mid 2009 Macbook Pro and it worked perfectly. Transfered files and everything. Knowing the rules on USB 3.0, I am worried this could damage the device, port, or cable. Any advice? Thanks guys (and gals)!
For clarification: the HD is 3.0 usb, the cable is 3.0 usb, but the computer port is 2.0 usb.

As long as you don't force the connectors in, there won't be any issue other than your wait for the 2.0 bottleneck.

USB Cable for power only?

Hey everyone,
I want to be able to use the USB cable to provide power to my Ipod, but not install Itunes. Here is the situation:
I have a set of desktop speakers at work and I like to plug my Ipod into them to listen during the day. Of course over time my Ipod battery dies and I need to recharge it. So I need to stop listening to music and plug the Ipod in b/c I can't seem to figure out how to get the USB cable to provide only power to the Ipod. The screen says "Do Not Disconnect" and won't let me operate the Ipod. Now it is my company computer and do not (and can't) install Itunes. Is there a way for me to get the USB cable to only provide power and still operate my Ipod. Yes, I could shell out the cash for another power adapter or one of those docking stations, but there must be an easier way.
So desired end state is: Ipod plugged into computer (with no Itunes) being charged and listening to music over the desktop speakers. Any ideas??

First off, when it says "Do Not Disconnect" it is charging, but no, it won't let you fuction on it.
Try this:
Connect your iPod the computer.
When it says "Do Not Disconnect" on the screen, try resetting it: hold the "menu" and center buttons together for about 7 seconds. The Apple logo should appear for a few seconds before returning to a normal screen.
In this state, your iPod will be charging from your computer's USB port, but not displaying "Do Not Disconnect".
Note that when your iPod is completely dead and has no battery, it may have to charge while asleep/dead for about a minute or two before you can reset it or operatte it while connected.
Or, you can eject your iPod (you don't need iTunes):
In the bottom-right corner of your screen (with the System icons), there will be an icon that is a grey rectangle with a green arrow floating over it, representing the "Safely Remove Hardware" program.
Open it, and stop the "IPOD" process.
