Is There A Comprehensive List Of Actions Using Modifier Keys?

I have been using Macs for nearly five years and thought I was reasonably proficient.
A few minutes ago I was told that it is possible to MOVE a file from one HD to another (rather than COPY it) by holding down the Command key.
I wonder how many more there are that I don't know!
So are they listed somewhere? I have looked in all my books and the Help menus but can't find anything.

I have just downloaded it and given it a test run.
It's an interesting application but it seems rather limited. When used with Final Cut Express it only listed half a dozen keyboard shortcuts when there are actually scores if not hundreds.

I'm in the process of trying to get this information for a client. Even with a paid AppleCare agreement, the only answer I'm getting is "look in the forums" and "look on the developer site" (although I have to give credit to the Tier-1 rep who's trying to help me.) The impression I'm getting is that they consider an exact list of header names to be proprietary information for some reason, and are going to great pains to try not to give out the information, but also to not create ill will amongst their customers by explicitly saying "that's proprietary".

Is there a comprehensive list of what X-Spam headers Apple Mail will look at when determining junk mail status?

Apple Mail has a preference to 'Trust junk mail headers in messages' but I can not find a list of what those headers are. By trial and error I've learned the "X-Spam-Flag: YES" will work (exactly that, no extra info), but I'd like to know what other options there are... particularly if I can send a score/rating back and have it look at that.
But I can't find a list of supported headers. The Internet is full of "common spam headers" and yet none of them actually seem to work -- and lots of people who can't get it working with spamassassin which is incredibly common...
So... is there such a list?

You can assign a keyboard shortcut. Go to your Edit menu in Illustrator, select keyboard shortcuts. Scroll down to the smooth tool and enter the key combo that you would like to use. Then save the set.

Capturing keystrokes; using modifier keys

I want to create a shortcut using "Command-R" on the mac and
"Control-R" on windows. I know how to capture a single keystroke
(my code is attached), but how do I capture using the modifier
keys?

I don't think it's possible using vanilla AppleScript, but if you download and install the Jon's Commands scripting addition (free for non-commercial use) you'll be able to do this:
on run
if "Command" is in (keys pressed) then
display dialog "Command key is down" buttons {"OK"} default button 1
else
display dialog "Command key is not pressed" buttons {"OK"} default button 1
end if
end run
The script will also display the confirmation dialog if you run it in a script editor window using Command-R, but not if you run it by selecting "Run" from your script editor's menu menu.

than you can select multiple records,
these you can retrieve: lt_selected_elements = node->get_selected_elements( ).

Using alt key in console vim.

Does anyone out there have a working method for using alt-<key> mappings in vim on the console? I've read a fair amount and the consensus seems to be "tweak all these different things to find what works on your system". So, what works on Arch (on a standard PC)?

I am currently trying some vim maps like
nmap <a-s> <C-w>s
And I'm using urxvt, so have tried the following in my .Xdefaults:
URxvt*meta8:true
This stops urxvt from converting alt key presses into esc-<key> patterns, but it's not activating the vim map. (It works in gvim BTW).
Has anyone got this to work? Or is the consensus that esc-<key> patterns are the way to go, with a .vimrc adapted to accept them, e.g. as in this:

Yeah, I thought that too and though I do run it in tmux usually, I've been testing it both with and without (TERM is set to screen-256color BTW) and it made no difference. Still, unless I specifically map the ^[ to alt in vim, it doesn't work. With meta8 it works so long as the locale is not UTF-8.
Guess I've got a workaround for now, but it would be nice if meta8 and utf-8 worked nicely together.

Custom Key Command w/o using a Modifier Key?

There are several key commands that I wish to assign (actually just want to change) in LP8. But the ones I want to change are all using modifier keys, so this requires two keys. And the secondary modifier key area, the ones you check with a check-mark box (i.e. shift, control option, command)is grayed out, so it cannot be changed. Is there any way around this?
For example: I want to re-assign one of the factory key-commands for "Go to selection start", to just be the return key. The factory key-command for this function, is hold shift & return.

You should be able to select the key command, enable learn by key label, hit delete key to clear. Then type key choice.

Soution: Delete the printer and add the same printer back in, therefore creating a new print queue.

HT4848 iMac crashed, trying to use Time Machine backup. In Restore From:it only offers Macintosh HD on ..... (grayed). There are backups listed below.

iMac crashed, trying to use Time Machine backup. In Restore From:it only offers Macintosh HD on ..... (grayed). There are backups listed below. When I click on a current backup and click on continue I get a "Select a Destination" with Searching for disk, but nothing comes up.
I am connected to my Passport if that helps, but I think that is where it is getting the backup list.
Any help on how to proceed?

Thanks for your help on this. I was trying to restore from a new drive. The problem I have is that Time Machine will not let me do so, so far.
When I go into 'Restore from Time Machine Back up) I can access the Time Machine HD ok. But then when I go onto next page (Select a Back Up) the 'Restore From' option only has the greyed out name of my crashed HD (this seems wrong?). If I continue the process to erase starts and then stops, message says:
An error occurred while adding a recovery system to the destination disk.
it only seems to want me to back up to my crashed HD which I have no intention of using
