Is there a conflict between Firefox and Carbomite?

I have been having problems with unresponsive script errors in Firefox, in both normal and Safe modes. I got the idea that one of my background programs could be causing the problem, so I disabled all of them and then enabled them individually. Enabling Zone Alarm did not cause a problem, so I enabled Carbonite. Sure enough, the unresponsive scripts returned, in both normal and Safe modes. Is there a known issue between Firefox and Carbonite that causes unresponsive scripts and, if so, what can I do about it short of disabling Carbonite? Thanks for any help!

Conflict between Firefox and 10.5 & 10.4.10

How may I achieve desired Energy Saver hard drive shut down if Firefox is open at the end of a session? All work OK using Safari, but not Firefox.

It's simple to do: just install both, as many of us have, and use what you wish. You may need to update MSOffice to run on Leopard with the latest security update.
When you say you want to run an app on both apps, do you mean that you expect to click a Tiger app in Leopard and have it run properly? Some will, some won't. Some apps that are standalone will run that way; other apps that require you to enter your password when you install them may not run on both machines - you may need a copy on each.
Just do it and see what happens.
As I noted, I have Tiger on my external HD, but if I click Sherlock on it when running Leopard, I get an error. Some apps may actually crash the system if Leopard attempts to start them. I do not crossover when running Leopard or Tiger. I run each system as a standalone.
Many apps that use X11 may also be problematical because X11 on Leopard is not the same as on Tiger. Also Leopard uses PIE and ACLs in a way that Tiger does not.
Let us know how it works out.

Is there a conflict between Apple and Air Canada?

I am unable to make a booking with Air Canada online.
It is a 6 stage process and I get blocked trying to proceed to the 3rd stage.
1st stage is selecting a destination and chossing a date.
2nd stage is electing flights and that's as far as I get, hitting the 'Continue' button does nothing.
I've emptied the cache and cookies to no avail. Air Canada say it must be my computer.
Any suggestions, ideas etc greatly appreciated.

Using Safari ??
Try troubleshooting Safari extensions ..
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Is there a conflict between Safari 4.0.3 and the latest version of FlashPlayer? Everytime I try to download, FP ends up in "Disabled Plugins" in my Library, and I can't move it out of there.

If you are running v10.6.8, click your Apple menu / Software Update. The current version of Safari is 5.0.5.
Then if necessary, reinstall Flash.

Is there a conflict between Reader XI and Acrobat being used on the same computer?

I downloaded the new Abode Reader XI. The computer in question has, also, Adobe Acrobat 7. Is there a conflict between them if used on the same computer? I can not open any PDFs and now the saved PDFs I had on the computer will not open and the icon shown on the desktop is gone. Please advise as I scan documents to this computer all the time and the person who needs to see them can not.

Sometimes, while playing back my software instrument songs, I get an intermittent pop-up error message, saying "Error while trying to synchronize audio and MIDI. Sample rate 42804 recognized. Check conflict between Garageband and external device."
(Sometimes the five digit number is different, but remains a five-digit number beginning with "4".)
Simultaneously, the song stops until I press the "Okay" button in the pop-up window.
When I continue to play the song, the sound is jerky and clipped, and the playhead doesn't keep up with the song, and then suddenly jumps to the part of the song currently being played.
There's also a sound of static.
The issue seems to occur whether or not I have my MIDI controller turned on and plugged into my desktop Imac.

When downloading itunes to my laptop computer, using Windows 8.1 my email/network account will not work on that computer. It is fine on other devices such as ipad and Windows phone. I used to be able to print correctly using Firefox as my browser,but something changed in the last month or so,possibly after a Firefox update. I`m not really sure how it happened but there seems to be a problem between Firefox and my printer. So I have been using Internet Explorer as my default so I can print. I would prefer to use Firefox again since that is where my bookmarks are. Is there a way to get the connection between Firefox and my printer back?

CS4: Form spacing conflict between Firefox & IE

I just created my first form in Dreamweaver CS4. And while I expected the form to be challenging, it came together right away. But once again I guess it's my very limited understanding of CSS and the box model that's causing me spacing issues between Firefox and MSIE.
In the form below, in MSIE there is extra space above the first form field label (Your Name) and also below the final line of copy on the page ("touch with you shortly).
I put the form in its own div (contactForm) nested inside the mainContent div. And I zeroed out the padding and margins for that contactForm div. But still, the spacing is off. If anyone has any ideas - this is probably obvious to non-newbies - I'd sure appreciate the input.

Guess I was on the right track zeroing out the margins in the div - a trick you taught me! But
I didn't realize I needed a rule for the form. Needless to say, that did the trick. Many, many thanks!

Name space conflict between static and instance method

Hello,
there seems to be a very unfortunate name space conflict between static and instance method name. Consider:
static String description() that should return a description of a class.
String description() that should return a description of an instance.
That seems to confuse the compiler. How come? Static and instance methods don't have anything to get confused about.

It's not a bug, it's the way it's supposed to be.
Since a static method can be called the same way an instance method
A instance = new A();
A.staticMethod();
instance.staticMethod();it's not allowed.
Also in the class, you can call

staticMethodInClass(); // You don't need the class name.

Conflict between VPN and Airport disk

Hello Folks, I just bought a brand new airport extreme 802n.
I thought it would be working fine with my Macbook pro, but it doesn't.
I can't access any externe hard disk or USB Stick through the airport extreme, although the format is FAT32. I checked and checked but found nothing useful. All the settings are default.
Worth to mention, I always use a cisco VPN client to get connected to the Internet (university student).
There are few times when I disconnected the VPN Client, the USB Client can be found and read, but not be written.
I though it is a conflict between VPN and Airport disk. So I tried without VPN, but the USB stick and the extern hard disk still didn't work properly. I have no idea what is happening could somebody help?
By the way is it possible to set Airport extreme as a VPN router so I don't have to use the cisco VPN client anyway?

I have an Airport Extreme connected to a cable modem
with comcast as my isp. The Extreme is connected to
a G4 dual processor mac via ethernet. I also have 3
airport expresses around the house to work as range
extenders. When I had the G4 connect to the Extreme
via its internal airport card, I had no difficulty
connecting to any of the Expresses around the house
with my g4 powerbook. Now that I have the G4 Dual
directly connected by ethernet to get the fastest
speed, I cannot get my expresses or my laptop to
connect through my laptop to the base station. all
lights are green on the expresses, but running
network diagnostics on the powerbook shows red or
yellow for the last two buttons on the right. Do I
have a configuration problem or an Extreme that won't
bridge properly?
Check that the G4 Dual has a location configured with
only "Built-In Ethernet" activated, and that its
Ethernet connection isn't shared on AirPort.
Turn off all your AX and check that your
PB G4 is able to connect to "your" AirPort network.
Take advantage of this silence of all your AX
to run an analysis of your wireless environnement:
- check that you don't have any neighbor wireless
network,
- check that on each of your AX settlement you have a
very good reception of "your" AirPort network.
If everything works fine to that point, add one AX to
your network, and check the reachability of your network
where you wanted to extend it.

Difference between Firefox and Safari when viewing iWeb created content.

Greeting Mac fans,
I've noticed that my iWeb pages load 2-3 times faster when viewed in Firefox than Safari. I find this a little suprising.
Also, my hit counter shows when the page is displayed in Firefox, but not in Safari.
Any ideas?
All content was created using iWeb and is hosted at my dotmac account. I have a domain name and I'm also using "masked URL fowarding"

There are two things that I think are at play
here...
First, the difference in loading times between
FireFox and Safari.... I haven't noticed that huge of
a difference myself, but what I have noticed is that
FireFox is much faster at pulling up cached
material....or maybe figuring out whether to pull
from cache vs. anew. I've noticed that FireFox also
hangs on to cached material more tenaciously than
Safari, meaning that sometimes I have to go in and
empty FireFox's cache in order to see something
update...I have to do this much more often in FireFox
than Safari.
Second, about your counters. If you turn your
masking off from your domain forwarding, you .Mac
counters will be visible to all. Using masking will
make them invisible to certain browsers under certain
conditions.
James, I guess I should download and use Firefox, but remember feeling burned the last time I did. I downloaded it, and soon after, things went awry with my computer. I am hoping that the were unrelated events, since Leo Laporte, the KFI techie guru, also recommends using Firefox for various reasons. He says that it is very safe because, basically, it is "dumb" (his words). But he meant that it's lack of bells and whistles made it go very fast, and made it avoid all the problems of Internet Explorer.

I have been asked 'Is there a link between OLM and iProcurement'? The person posing the question is wanting to create trainers as suppliers and I know that the supplier information is shared between OLM and the A/P, A/R and G/L modules and I presume that the link to iProcurement will be via one of these modules however is there a more direct vanilla link between OLM and iprocurement?

I am afraid there is no link between the iProc and OLM.
The closest that apps can offer you is that your learner/delegates can be of type external i.e. being an Organization or a Customer. Hence there exists a link for your delegate to be a customer(hz_parties).
However this might be a future integration i.e. Trainers being suppliers. I am saying so because in 11.5.10 there is a table named OTA_VENDOR_SUPPLIES that has reference to vendor_id. Currently this table is not being used by OLM.
You may look into the code of packages OTA_VSP_API, OTA_TEA_BUS & OTA_PLE_BUS and see if Oracle's future functionality will converge towards your business requirement.

I have created EXIT Fucntion Module in DMEE Structure for PAYM Tree Type to udpate value of Reference Text node to show Custom value. Stand alone DMEE works fine for Testng purpose. But It does not work with BNK_MONI .
I am running following sequence of T Codes :
RVND --> F8REL --> F111 --> BNK_APP --> BNK_MONI ..
I want to update one of the fields in output file generated by BNK_MONI .
Is there any link between BNK_MODI and DMEE ?
Or shall I have to Debug background job created by F111 like it is done in case of F110 ?
Please suggest..

Deliveries that are created without reference to order , contained movement type because to process a delivery you need to have some of the control criteria that are copied from sales document header to delivery document header, as system processes delivery in that way ,that is why you will find default order type is assigned to the delivery document type ie DL. .which helps the delivery document to process without reference to sales document.

For Itemcatagory DLN+ --CN
From this schedule line category CN,movement type 601 is taken during without reference to order delivery creation.
